No one even knows the whereabouts of 2-month-old Kyon Jones, let alone his name. His mother, Ladonia Boggs, told officers of DC’s Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) in May 2021 that she went to sleep with him one night and the next morning he was dead. She wrapped him in a blanket and threw him in the trash.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for DC refused to prosecute Boggs for murder. She was charged only with “tampering with physical evidence,” as if Kyon were some piece of paper or file, instead of a human being.

I suppose with no body there is absolutely no way to prove she murdered him intentionally or otherwise.

The article itself, I couldn't read all of right now but I'm not surprised at what I did read. DC goes to do something and with government people and more, of course it doesn't do at all what the intent was nor did it ever.

One thing I can comment on in what I saw was YES, put these facts out there or the facts as known so people KNOW what happened and this child existed. In this case, that it is KNOWN the mother claims he was dead in bed with her and that she covered it up. Raise awareness. It's like that with our case, the nation should know, the nation should have one place to look at all known facts of any murdered child or suspicious death of one and the facts as known, the child's name and more. Just my opinion.
 
He wasn't like alot of what you see. Lack of a better word "Disposed" of right after birth. In those cases I don't know how they can go through 9 months and do that. Why?. And this?! Too much if a responsibility huh. Apparently so was birth control. Idiots!

I don't either. If you have made it that far that is when they start getting to be a bit more fun and changing every day and learning and crawling and one would think you would be bonded. But it is also the time they teethe, crawl and start learning how to get into things and maybe parents who could just stick them in a crib in younger months can't handle it... They sleep less and all of that.

The newborn births with the father of the baby, I figure there is no bonding whatsoever and to them it is nothing. Mothers are a lot harder to understand, not that I'm excusing the men because I am NOT, just saying like in a recent one, he just wanted his problem gone, doubt he spent a moment feeling anything for the infant.

Mother of baby missing for nearly a year fatally stabbed in Northeast DC​

The mother of a baby missing for nearly a year was fatally stabbed in Northeast D.C., according to DC Police.

Ladonia Boggs, 39, was found inside a residence in the 1500 block of Benning Road NE suffering from an apparent stab wound around 2:52 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and after finding no signs consistent with life, the victim was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Boggs was arrested in May 2021 for Felony Murder of her then 2-month-old missing son, Kyon Jones, but was not charged. She was only charged with Tampering with Evidence and was later released into Pretrial Services.


DC Police say the investigation into Kyon's disappearance and Boggs' death are both ongoing.

Police: Father of missing baby Kyon Jones accused of killing child's mother​

A woman is dead after she was found stabbed in an apartment in Northeast D.C. early Wednesday. The Metropolitan Police Department identified the woman as Ladonia Boggs, 39, of Northeast D.C.

MPD confirmed to WUSA9 that Boggs is the same woman who was under investigation for tampering with evidence in connection with the presumed death of her 2-month-old infant, Kyon Jones. Jones was last seen on May 5, 2021.


Officers arrested and charged Carl Jones, 44, of Northeast D.C. in connection with Boggs’ death. Police confirmed to WUSA9 that Carl Jones was Kyon Jones's father.

Investigators confirmed that the stabbing was “domestic in nature.”


Investigators searched landfills for Kyon Jones’ body but never found it, but MPD did have surveillance video that did show Boggs throwing items into the garbage.

A District man was sentenced to nine years in prison Friday for the fatal stabbing of his girlfriend, who told authorities last year that she threw the couple’s 2-month-old son’s remains in the trash.

D.C. Superior Court Judge Milton C. Lee sentenced Carl B. Jones, 45, to the maximum amount of prison time called for in a plea agreement Jones and federal prosecutors reached in September.

Jones pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in the April killing of Ladonia Boggs, whose body was found in April in the doorway of her apartment in the 1500 block of Benning Road NE. An autopsy determined she had been stabbed multiple times.

In May 2021, police had accused Boggs of putting 2-month-old Kyon Jones’s body in a trash receptacle after she said he died. Boggs initially claimed a social worker and her godmother had removed Kyon from her home, though she later admitted to police that, after smoking PCP, she was sleeping in the same bed with her son and rolled over him, according to court documents.

When she woke up, she saw that the baby was not breathing, placed his body in the trash and gave his clothes to a neighbor, according to court documents.

Prosecutors decided not to pursue a murder case and instead charged Boggs with tampering with physical evidence. She was not jailed and had a court date set for two months after she was killed.

Holy :poop: !!! She kills her baby, And then gets killed by the baby's father. 9 years for murder. Reduced to manslaughter. In a "Plea agreement". Of course!!!
