Amber Alert issued for Macon toddler, father wanted for triple murder, kidnapping

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation confirms that an Amber Alert was issued Wednesday morning for missing 2-year-old King Cane Crockett.

The toddler is expected to be with his father, 29-year-old Caesar Zamien Lamar Crockett Jr. It's still unclear why the Amber Alert was not pushed to all communications channels, according to Nelly Miles with the GBI.

Tuesday night, Bibb County sheriff's deputies say Crockett pulled out a gun during a fight and fatally shot the child's maternal grandmother, step-father, and sister.

The victims have been identified as 67-year-old Janet Samuel, 69-year-old James Samuel, and 47-year-old Lechasta Childs.

Crockett is expected to be in a black, '97 Pontiac G5, pictured below. The sheriff's office says the car has a temporary tag of S0325629 on it. Bibb County deputies believe Crockett could be in the Gainesville, Florida area with King.

Levi's Call Alert
Deputies arrived on the scene and found three people shot in the house and one female with injuries. It was reported that there was an altercation between 29-year-old Caesar Zamien Lamar Crockett Jr. and his child's mother, 30-year-old Jamila Augustine French. During the altercation Crockett pulled a firearm and shot French's mother and step-father and sister killing them. Crockett then fled the scene with his 2-year-old son King Cane Crockett. Caesar is driving a 2007 Pontiac G5 black in color with a drive-out-tag on it. If anyone knows the location of Crockett and his son please call the Bibb County Sheriff's Office. Caesar Crockett is wanted for three counts of Murder, and one count of Kidnapping. Caesar has family in both Florida and California. Caesar is six foot one inch tall weighing between one hundred and eight to two hundred pounds, he was last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt, black shorts with red and white stripes on the side. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office say 29-year-old Caesar Crockett got into an altercation with his son’s mother, and then he shot and killed her sister, mother, and step-father before taking his son,King Crockett.

Authorities in Georgia have put out a Levi’s call, the equivalent of an amber alert, for a child they say was taken by his father. In Florida, an AMBER alert has been declared for the child after he was spotted in Gainesville,Fl.
 

Update: Missing Georgia 2-year-old found safe, father in standoff with Tampa police

UPDATE: Troopers have found the man they said kidnapped a 2-year-old in Georgia and killed three others Tuesday night.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said Caesar Crockett is in a standoff with law enforcement near I-75 and I-4.

Troopers said the missing child, King, was found safe, but Crockett is still inside a car and armed.

Troopers said the area should be avoided at all costs.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Caesar handed over 2-year-old King Crockett to officers, unharmed. Caesar is now in an armed standoff with Florida Highway Patrol Officers and other law enforcement agencies. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.

UPDATE: A 2-year-old boy at the center of an Amber Alert has been found safe and the man accused of taking him has surrendered to law enforcement, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Caesar Crockett is accused of topping speeds of 120 mph as he fled from troopers and Tampa police, then he crashed while attempting to exit I-4 at I-75.

King Crockett, 2, was safely recovered after the crash.
