State police are asking for the public’s help to find a 13-year-old Bucks County boy who was last seen leaving his parents’ home in the family minivan at 3:30 a.m. Monday.

Kadin Kent Willauer was last seen in the 2000 block of John Fries Highway in Milford Township, wearing jeans, a jacket and black baseball cap. The blond-haired, blue-eyed teen is driving a white 2016 Chrysler Town & County minivan, Pennsylvania registration JZV0413, state police said.

A 13-year-old boy has disappeared in Pennsylvania after changing the license plate of his family’s minivan and driving off, police say.


Kadin Willauer was last seen around 4 a.m. Sunday morning at a gas station in Upper Saucon Township, according to Fox 29. State Police say surveillance footage showed Willauer filling up the gas tank of white Chrysler Town & Country minivan and changing its license plates to stolen ones that read ZGW-4969.

About a half-hour earlier, Willauer had left his family’s home in Milford Township, north of Philadelphia, investigators told the station.

A missing 13-year-old boy who Pennsylvania State Police say took his parents' minivan in Bucks County and then changed the license plate was spotted in Virginia on Wednesday.

Police said Kadin Kent Willauer was observed leaving his home in Milford Township around 3:30 a.m. Sunday and driving away in the Chrysler Town and Country minivan.

Approximately 25 minutes later, he was seen on surveillance video filling up the vehicle at a gas station in Upper Saucon Township in Lehigh County, police said.

Authorities said, at the gas station, Willauer changed the license plate of the minivan to ZGW 4969.

On Wednesday, police confirm to Action News that Kadin was spotted on I-95 southbound in Fairfax County, Virginia.

New Details Shared in Case of Missing Milford Township Teen

The news site reported that Willauer did not take his cell phone with him when he left home, has not contacted his parents since running away, has no known connection to the area in which the van was last spotted and left home with “some” money.

In the news release issued by state police Wednesday, however, police said that a 13-year-old boy who disappeared from his home in Milford Township Sunday morning took with him “a significant amount of cash in order to runaway (sic),” in addition to a minivan.

Police initially said they believed Willauer was likely still in the Bucks County area, and Trooper Nathan Branosky of the Dublin barracks has told media that he is a skilled ATV and dirt bike enthusiast who’s accustomed to spending time outdoors.

That information apparently prompted police to search a section of the Appalachian Trail Tuesday.

Police have not outlined a motive for Willauer’s apparent decision to run away, however Branosky made a personal appeal to him to return, telling him “your family and support system really cares about you,” according to the Fox News report.
