JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori *GUILTY* & Chad Daybell for murder

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

She's gonna have to suck it up. The virus has affected ALL of us. Yes, everyone deserves a fair process and a fair trial. But we're literally in the middle of a global health pandemic, and she is at the bottom of the list of people I care about it affecting negatively.

Vallow's lawyer claims virus has affected her rights

Lori Vallow’s legal rights have been affected by the Madison County court system’s efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19, her lawyer claims.

Vallow’s attorney, Mark Means, argued in a court filing that she has been subjected to several unlawful practices in jail. Madison County Prosecuting Attorney Rob Wood said the actions are due to new coronavirus procedures.

Vallow’s argument came in an amended motion for the reduction of her $1 million bond. Vallow is requesting to orally argue for bond reduction before Judge Michelle Mallard. It is Vallow’s fourth motion for bond reduction.

In an accompanying affidavit, Means laid out what happened in the Madison County Jail that has led him to further believe in the importance of Vallow being able to post bond and be released from jail.

Means said on March 30 he traveled to Rexburg to meet with Vallow in order to prepare for her next preliminary hearing. When he arrived at the jail he was not allowed to meet in the standard fashion, he said. Instead, the “sole option of communication with (his) client” was speaking over a recorded telephone line in a “public visitor meeting room” with a wall of glass between them. Means was also told the only way for him to give Vallow documents for her to review was for the documents to be passed through a side door at which time they were out of sight of both Means and Vallow.

Means argued that the restrictions and communications methods were unlawful and violated Vallow’s right to communicate privately with her attorney.

Five days after the motion for another bond reduction hearing was filed, Wood filed an objection to Vallow’s motion.

“It is important to note that the reason for the current visitation restrictions currently in place at the Madison County jail are a response to the recent COVID-19 outbreak. The safety of both the inmates and employees is of the utmost importance to Madison County, the Sheriff’s Department, and the Prosecutor’s Office,” Wood wrote.

Means also wrote in his April 2 court document that he believed Vallow’s right to due process had been violated since no hearing had been set regarding her bond reduction. On April 9 Wood told Justin Lum of Fox 10 Phoenix that, though not officially set, a preliminary hearing for April 17 is tentatively planned.
I think she's too dangerous to be let out. Seriously.

She is too dangerous and will flee I believe. I do worry, however, as they don't have her on murder charges nor him under arrest yet. This attorney of hers seems to be giving it back at the prosecution and I don't like that either. The system should just be like tell us where the kids are or you stay in jail! How many times can they argue for lowered bond? Every other week??? It has already been lowered. Doesn't look like Chad has found any way to get her out or doesn't want to...

Not really sure what the above means, I know the AG took it over and is investigating. Whatever the reason, I like the sound of this classification and hope they soon both get what they have coming...

How did I not know that JJ and Tylee were not her biological children? Did she just end up with them because their bio-fathers died? Were they adopted children? Where are the bio-mothers of these two children? This makes a whole lot more sense now.

Tylee is not hers? I knew that JJ was adopted.

It looks like JJ is the biological child of Charles Vallow's (Lori's ex) sister's son. And then Charles and Lori adopted him. https://www.kivitv.com/news/charles...o-jjs-grandma-rather-than-lori-vallow-daybell

But I'm pretty sure that Tylee is biologically Lori's. - "In 2001, she married Joseph Ryan, who is Tylee Ryan's biological father." https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...eaths-tied-missing-idaho-kids-mom/4830152002/

In the interview, right at the beginning, Colby says that he is Lori's only biological child. ETA: I re-listened and he says "only biological son" not child. Got it!

i was going to say that Tylee looked enough like her to be her bio kid, but I have seen adoptions that could fool you. A guy I worked with a long time ago adopted a son from Russia and we were looking at pics of him at the same ages and if you didn't look at what and who was in the background, you would think they were all of the same kid.

Tylee is hers. JJ is the real grandson of the grandparents who want them found. If I have it right Charles' brother and a woman had JJ and the grandparents took him in and Lori and Charles adopted him helping the grandparents and Charles' brother out and were raising him. Colby is the son of Joseph Ryan and the only biological son of Lori. Tylee is her only bio daughter. JJ is an adopted son of Lori and Charles but is actually Charles' real nephew and his parents' grandson. It is a majorly confusing case.

Looks like you know by now, but Tylee is hers. And Colby. Bio mom to both.

The article I posted above said he is Charles' SISTER's son. :) But other than that I think you nailed it. This is all so hard to keep straight.
It won't be tonight but I would swear it was a brother's son lol. Not to argue, just what I thought. I thought bro of Charles was incapable and unmarried to mom and she not interested in son, etc. You probably are right. It is like baby Evelyn's case, only one murder but I can't keep the family members straight... Not my day. For sure.

Lori Vallow, whose two kids have not been seen since September, and her husband Chad Daybell are now officially under investigation for possible murder, attempted murder and conspiracy charges.

The letter from the AG’s office to the local prosecutor does not specify which death or deaths are under review, and neither Lori nor Chad have been charged in connection with any murder or attempted murder. Fremont County, where Chad formerly lived, is adjacent to Madison County, where he and Lori shared a subsequent residence in Rexburg and where Lori is facing criminal charges related to her children’s disappearance.
