JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

1580704661510.png

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

I am wondering if they actually did a quick poll before they left the night before and they were already unanimous and just went home to sleep on it. They did come back with a really quick verdict the next day, just after lunch. They were walking around outside during lunch too so i don't know how they avoided news on the case. Nate was talking on a live stream when he said " oh here's a juror just about to walk by so i have to be quiet for a bit." Then they were being called in for the verdict.
I dont think so. She pretty much said they were given the choice of just going home and they decided to go home and start the next day. There were also two on the fence, they weren't all agreed right off. Those two needed to see a thing or two to be sure, then they were sure, then all agreed.

One thing interesting about that is they had to wear "badges" at all times. That's what identified them as jurors. I believe she said they ran into other juries that did not have to have badges, that this big trial was the only jury that had badges I believe.

I do think it's a bit too trusting of AZ to do it this way and let them amongst the public. I mean how easily could some intentional member of the public try to wreck the trial? For instance if Lori had any real friends, they could set out to do just that by telling a juror something.

So they did have a poll the night before?

AZ also did not pay for their lunches and she said the courthouse food was expensive in her opinion..

Really interesting the differences. However, they'd pay $300 a day if qualified for lost wages, etc. THAT is a LOT of money and I've never heard of a State having a fund like that--jury pay is usually almost NOTHING, very little. Yet they don't pay for lunch lol.

Lunch is probably usually the highlight of jury duty lol. Many juries come back and wait until after lunch as it's free and generally pretty good and catered in from restaurants. Even in our little courthouse, in a very small town the county seat is without a lot of choice of restaurants, they brought in some pretty good food for the jurors. I saw it at least once or twice coming in AND smelled it as of course we were let out for lunch at the same time the jurors went for lunch.

The last day of course they were deliberating so we didn't know when they got lunch, we were free while waiting for a verdict. We were going out for something, maybe a smoke, i smoked then, and lunch was coming in. And it was early imo, like 11 maybe, compared to what we had seen. And I said there IS a verdict. My daughter thought I was nuts, we went out and came back and I told my family the same thing and they all thought I was wrong lol. We were in a room in the D.A.'s office we were given to use for the family with just one of those panel windows in the door and I saw an office person rush to one of the offices all of a sudden. I said again now that verdict is in and SURE ENOUGH.

I've shared this before but I think it's interesting that juries like to get that free lunch or they make it their last thing quite often, a bit of relaxation time before they announce they have a verdict.

So I probably wouldn't like AZ lol, with no free lunch, no way to tell LOL.

I also mention all in this post because it is interesting how we differ state to state, sometimes even county to county. I was very surprised at the way AZ did some of these things and I do think it was a bit dangerous maybe as to jurors hearing something. Nate said constantly that a lot was different than ID.

Our jurors were allowed to leave though too I believe IF they wanted, and they went home each night, not sequestered or anything. They did get lunch every day but I think if someone had wanted to say run an errand instead on lunch hour I think they could have. Once deliberations started I think they stayed in at lunch together but deliberating took just a few hours one day.

Ours however was not some nationally known headline making worldwide known even, trial. Still kind of hard to believe they did this one that way. And even our little county paid for and catered lunch and went out of their way to find good food and a nice variety from them from what I saw. There are actually a few other towns within maybe 10 miles and I think they probably did that to help vary it and get some very good food for them.

Lol we lived on one day at least was McDonald's, my son in law ran and got a bunch of the cheapest burgers and fries and I think that was day one. Pretty sure we had Subway one day, someone took an order list and we all bought our own. One day my sister brought in a bunch of good sausages in a crockpot and put it in our room, we were giving them even to the D.A. and victim advocate told us we sure eat good lol. She had a variety of sausages. The county did provide snacks for us in the room and I think water, etc. If it hadn't been for such an awful thing, it was an interesting experience most probably never see. I think someone ran for a couple of different pizzas one day.

The jury though, I think they had Chinese, I think they had food from the local golf course one day, darned good food, and so on.

We scrambled and largely did takeout for supper too when we got home at night. Reasonably priced take out if we could. The entire family had missed time off work over most of our deaths, and this was another at least week off, and it was a scramble just to attend court every day in another town. There were many of us who attended. A ton stayed at my mom's a few with my sister. Several of us did not even live in that state. Ours was a week of trial, sentencing came a few months later, or a month, something like that.

I didn't intend to keep going on all this here, but thought it offers a bit of interesting insight as to what families deal with too. i mean we had to all fit in showers each night and right back the next morning in a two bath home in our case, think my sister only had one, not sure which of their homes they were in at the time, I think the one bath home. Get makeup on each morning, things like that. My uncle was also up for it so had some extended family staying there as well. An extra dog, lots of people. It was winter and we had to worry about roads each morning.

My son in law was absolutely outstanding. Since not a direct relative I guess, I don't know, he just took it upon himself to take care of most things, make sure food was put up, the dogs, in, the house locked up, get us food, and so on, he watched people and for things at court we might not have.

I guess where I am going with this is now imagine if in a totally different state (well it was for me) but where maybe you don't even have family. Just Kay and Larry for instance, to attend every hearing in every case or every trial through the years, you are having to fly, probably book hotels each and every time you want or need to attend. It's a big burden on a family, it's awful. Then delays, you name it.

I think I decided as I get into this post that it's a good thing for people to know. Add in the stress and grief and fear something will go wrong or the wrong verdict will come back and My God if you have to testify as well. None of us had to other than at sentencing most gave statements, but my daughter had to for quite awhile. Then add in our case at least you are dealing with the perp's family around in the same small hallways and bathroom, and sitting just a few feet from the perp who killed your loved one.

It really is a terrible and very grief filled and stressful thing, all of it.

Okay, I really didn't mean to go into all that, but the point is I am sure they want this all over. The fear of mentioning the other cases had to add another stress level yet.

With us, we also worried one of us who reallly were hurt by it would say something or do something. It wasn't an easy thing to do but my mom had to be told once and she wasn't exactly pleased that maybe she should go into the room you can view and hear in--because she was making remarks while sitting in the courtroom, a bit louder than she maybe realized. Lol (but not). I had someone else say something to her.

It's just a very, very hard thing to get through. Add in the perp prancing around representing herself and attacking witnesses verbally and boy would that add another level.

Another thing this juror said was they thought they were likely going to May 15th with many more weeks of trial. They were surprised when she rested and put no one up.

I should stop.

Okay. I'm sure most of us don't want to really hear her but apparently they got an interview with Lori at some point after the verdict. I haven't watched it all yet but am a few minutes in. The verdict supposedly did surprise her--WHY? She starts going into her near death experience...

Not sure why they are letting these interviews happen lately or maybe it is that she is agreeing?

Boy, would I like to slam her with her b.s. As much as I don't like to hear from her, I am not going to miss the watch of this ridiculous woman.

Whole family into movie lines. It would be different if we didn't know what she did as she gets light and tries to be a bit human, BUT we know what she did.

Watching this knowing what she did...................

If we didn't know it would appear she is trying to be friendly and even human at times. Eyeroll.A

I don't have words. Really don't. It takes watching.

IF she hadn't done what she had done, I'd maybe look at her a bit differently, trying to be some chatty Cathy about family, Adam, Summer, enchiladas... But because of who she is and what we know she did, I can't give one word of hers true consideration.

I'd say it is a must watch simply because if one has followed the case, it is more Lori than we've seen through a lot of years.

And yet at the same time I don't want to see her or hear from her. She's not fascinating, she is a murderer, of her own children included, for her own purposes. It would maybe be different and one might look at her different at times in the interview if we didn't know that.

Again, no words really. I just don't have them. Someone else can try. 20 or so minutes seems like hours, not quite done yet. Fascinating yet irritating.

The woman does ask her some tough questions. Anytime there is one though, she makes an out. Just got asked if she believed Charles was a bad spirit named Ned. Oh that's a whole other story misconstrued and not time to fill her in on all of it... Lots of OUTS to the tough questions.

She really has an elevated opinion of herself. When she was asked about the delay calling 911 she put it all on Alex and she just had to get JJ to school and she was the saint for looking after two sick children. Also her views about helping women in prison and stating how the system is designed for convictions. Interesting she said in the Brandon case it will all be allowed in, but i don't know about that. Then the discussion about the intervention they were planning against her. She just glosses over or laughs off the difficult questions. Very weird interview. The darkness of the room and the lighting was spooky. She came across as evil to me. So what was the NDE she had ? She mentioned having one and thats when she visited heaven and that's why she and Chad were close as it is difficult being understood by us mere mortals who haven't had a NDE.

Delusional, dangerous, devilwoman.

Oh and the interviewer had spoken with a juror who mentioned there was one holdout on the jury until the closing I think she said. Lori obviously didn't know that, I guess none of us did but will have to find that interview.

I actually haven't quite finished it yet. I had to break from her. I can't believe a like 20 minute interview was almost too much. I was quite a bit through but got sidetracked, maybe needed to honestly. Yes, in the most of it I have seen so far, she finds "OUTS".

Oh the people in prison with family tragedies and so on or in jail who can't tell their stories and the system and so on. We've heard some of that before. She finds as she did with her "cult" the weaker, right up her evil alley.

She's not all that smooth in this, she has pauses and has to think a bit at times because she is FACED with a tough question. Not all that quick. LOved (not) her remark about how you don't need to use your brain much in jail so she had to really get it going to lawyer for herself. Paraphrased by me. What I took out of that is that she can sway dummies in prison easily and doesn't need much brain power to play them, that's my thought. Her hair was exceptionally curled for this interview. From a distance nshe almost looks like she did some years ago but up close no way.

Then she glances off a lot I am guessing to the guards or a cameraman or to someone and smiles, a guy I'd bet.

The NDE she went into at the end of her ID trial. And this seems to be a thing with all of these people, that they talk to people beyond this world, see Jesus and you name it. It's like a THING. Chad did the same crap.

I don't even necessarily disbelieve maybe such can happen but there are plenty that make it UP to use it, those two are two of those imo.

Nate is going to have on like I said someone about the religion itself. I try hard not to knock it but it certainly with some of its things doesn't help imo. I'm not saying anyone born into it or part of it is bad. More went into this trial about the religion than I think I saw in the first two but still, not TOO far.

You know it's funny that I don't even disagree with some things about the legal system but it is coming from HER. She says she and the other woman in jail can't tell their family tragedy stories , the system is geared against them and yada yada yada, but you know what she doesn't say? Treena Kay was stopped from being able to share a lot of things too on the other SIDE you dumb b*tch! She was (Lori) protected from anyone knowing she killed her kids, etc. Don't tell me you dumb witch that you didn't have it more than fair that way. The juror I watched two shows of this morning said they had no idea, saw her in normal clothing, no shackles, etc.

Lori had this trial MORE than fair and got away with a LOT but she only plays the story ONE WAY.

There are reasons for attys although i will never say there aren't bad ones and she chose to represent self.

I need to go back and finish it. I didn't hear some of what you shared here. It is fascinating in a way but in another way I just can't' take her sh*t. Not fascinating in that she is deep.

Imo she wasn't doing very well with the hard questions this reporter put to her.

Oh I did love when she tried to make it clear her and Chad were just friends til later, never sexual. Hell Mel G confronted her on that one in their phone call. No, no, Lori wasn't having an affair.... LIAR, LIAR.

She was interacting with the jury the whole time.
Yes I heard that in the juror interview, same one. Smirking, rolling eyes, any time a damning fact came up on the stand. Mostly all men I keep in mind.

Never put all your store in your looks. Doesn't work for her these days. Or in acting like a teenager when you are being TRIED for murder.

I feel sorry for Colby with this one. I can just imagine his reaction. I'm sure he will give one.

It is so lonely when you have Near Death Experiences but Chad understood it because he had three. THeres no one to talk to that understands. GIVE me a break.

I can only take maybe a minute at a time of the last 5 minutes lol.

I do NOT necessarily disbelieve there are such things, but I DO think people make them up. And no way, I am no judge but I am going to say it, are either of these to going to Heaven. Con artists, liars. Did they tell her in that NDE go ahead and kill and dismember and treat your children horribly because it doesn't matter in the end......?????????????????????

She is SO full of sh*t!

I need to finish it and be done with her for now. Can hardly take it.

I've got 4 minutes left. I think I need to wait and find some cooking or something. Her kids with special needs. I can't take it.

Tylee was more adult than she was. Imo.
