A Nassau County grand jury indicted 44-year-old Kimberly Kessler September 7. Her co-worker, Joleen Cummings, was 34 when she was reported missing on May 14. Cummings body has never been found and she is presumed dead.

Kessler, who worked with Cummings at Tangles Hair Salon in Yulee and was allegedly the last person to see her alive, has been in custody since June for grand theft auto for allegedly stealing Cummings’ car. She pleaded not guilty on June 7 to that charge. Kessler’s public defender in that case did not return PEOPLE’s call for comment.

Authorities have said Kessler has had 18 aliases and has lived in 33 cities and 14 states since 1996, but police have not announced a definitive motive.

Disappearance, murder of Nassau mom Joleen Cummings featured on ID’s ‘See No Evil’

The 2018 disappearance and murder of a Nassau County mother and hairstylist is being featured in an episode of Investigation Discovery’s “See No Evil.”

The episode of “See No Evil” featuring Cummings’ case premiered on Wednesday.

It’s entitled “She’s Fake,” and features interviews with Cummings’ mother Ann Johnson, and Nassau County Sheriff Bill Leeper.

In the second episode of “50 Ways to Catch a Killer,” which is hosted by rapper and entrepreneur Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, the show dives into the case of Joleen Cummings, a mother from Yulee who went missing during Mother’s Day weekend seven years ago.

The episode, titled “Untangle the Lies,” is a nod to Cummings’ work as a hair stylist in Fernandina Beach, where she worked alongside Kimberly Kessler, who was convicted of killing Cummings in 2022.

“Joleen Cummings finishes her shift at Tangles Hair Salon, excited for Mother’s Day and her birthday, but when she never picks up her kids, alarm bells go off,” the description for the episode reads. “When the detectives start digging, they uncover strange behavior, hidden secrets, and an ordinary item that turns this from a missing person case into something far more sinister.”
