7-month-old baby reportedly kidnapped during Yucaipa attack

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help in finding a baby boy who was reportedly kidnapped.

Deputies responded to the 34000 block of Yucaipa Boulevard, an area near a shopping center and several stores, just before 8 p.m. Thursday regarding a 7-month-old boy who was reported missing. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, a woman reported that she was attacked outside a retail store, and during the attack, the baby was taken.

"K9 Units with scent tracking dogs also responded and conducted and an exhaustive search for the child and any possible suspects," the sheriff's department said in a statement.

"This is an active investigation, and we are seeking the public's help in locating the child," the sheriff's department posted on social media.

Also she's saying she was attacked from behind? But ended up with a black eye? She didn't say she got punched in the face. A hit to the back of the head is only going to cause a black eye in extreme circumstances (like a skull fracture). But I guess she "doesn't remember" what happened so who knows. Also JMO, that the black eye doesn't look super fresh...

There are quite a few businesses in that area. If, for some reason, that particular store doesn't have cameras on the parking lot, the chances of no cameras in the area are really slim.
Soooo slim!

A lot of people also think they have no reach, too. While it might not be enough to have good detail, they could early tell from a more distant camera if anything near what she described happened that happened or not. They may not have identifying features of anything but they would be able to tell parts of her story.

Based on the circumstances, Sheriff's Specialized Investigations Division responded and assisted with the investigation. Investigators interviewed multiple individuals, including Emmanuel's parents Jake and Rebecca Haro. During those interviews, Rebecca was confronted with inconsistencies in her initial statement and declined to continue with the interview. At this point in the investigation, investigators are unable to rule out foul play in the disappearance of Emmanuel.

Investigators ‘unable to rule out foul play’ in search for missing Yucaipa baby

San Bernardino County sheriff’s investigators announced Saturday they are “unable to rule out foul play” in the disappearance of 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro, noting that they confronted the baby’s mother with inconsistencies in her initial account during interviews.

The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division interviewed multiple people, including Emmanuel’s parents, Jake and Rebecca Haro. During those interviews, investigators said Rebecca was confronted about inconsistencies in her initial statement and that she then declined to continue speaking with detectives.

“At this point in the investigation, investigators are unable to rule out foul play in the disappearance of Emmanuel,” SBSD stated, adding that the investigation is ongoing.

An AMBER Alert has not been activated because the case does not meet the criteria without a suspect or vehicle description, authorities said.

Anyone who knows Emmanuel’s whereabouts or has information on the case is urged to call 911, Sheriff’s Dispatch at 909-387-8313, or the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division at 909-890-4904. Anonymous tips can be submitted to We-Tip at 1-800-78-CRIME (27463) or at wetip.com.

So dad has a history of child cruelty. Mom has a black eye. Is she doing this under duress because she’s abused too?
I’m NOT saying that makes it ok. If anything would make you stand up and say ENOUGH it should be the death of your child. When confronted with inconsistencies she should say YES, he did this, please help me. Not continue to cover for him. So just what level of involvement does she have? (All JMO and speculative.)

That and/or did it on purpose for their story of her being knocked out.

It means little although I differed from most in that I thought mom did seem truly upset in the video I saw. However it does not change my mind that this is unlikely foul play, I think it is.

Thought so since first seeing the headline--babies don't take off or wander off, that's out right away so it only leaves abduction which she of course is claiming.

If he or others are in on it, it is very possible someone hit her from behind that can't be identified by not close cameras. That would make it where they can't rule out foul play yet. There is clearly some reason they can't.

I doubt the baby was even with them, died earlier. Probably at dad's hands just going by history.

In one thing it said she fell on floor--handy that she didn't fall on baby...

Probably just a bruise she got from him the could not get rid of before executing this plan. Doesn't mean it was to be believed to be fresh or he'd have given her a fresh one most likely. She may be typicallly sporting one or more, who knows..

The Uvalde Foundation Halts Search for Missing Yucaipa Infant, Citing ‘Inconsistencies’

The search for missing 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro took a startling turn this weekend after both law enforcement and an independent foundation raised new concerns about the case.

On Saturday, the Uvalde Foundation For Kids, a national child advocacy and violence prevention group, announced it was withdrawing its search teams and reward offer for Emmanuel. Hours later, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department confirmed investigators cannot rule out foul play in the child’s disappearance.

Foundation founder Daniel Chapin said troubling details led to the group’s decision. “We cannot in good conscience, utilize our team and resources when so much is missing in this case,” Chapin said at a press conference.

“Of particular concern to us lies within the inconsistencies in the details and the sudden decision by the mother to end communication with law enforcement and our team originally prepared to help. Tell me, what parent would do that who was missing a child? Something is not right in this whole picture.”

According to the foundation’s updated release, inconsistencies in the mother’s account, her refusal to continue communication with investigators, and her lack of response to the group’s inquiries were key factors in ending their efforts. The foundation also disclosed they had uncovered a past abuse case involving the child’s father, raising further questions about Emmanuel’s overall welfare.

Chapin said the foundation hopes investigators will press forward. “We hope law enforcement will continue to pursue the case so that this precious child may be found and placed in a safe environment,” he said.

Plus, if she was changing him in the seat of the car, if she was hit from behind, wouldn't she fall forward onto the baby? That sure would make it hard to get the baby very easily.

I'm really curious as to what the father's story was and is he had any inconstancies.
