Three missing girls in Wenatchee found dead, father still missing

Three missing girls in the Wenatchee area were found dead, according to the Wenatchee Police Department.

According to the police department, police responded to reports of a civil complaint when the mom of three young girls reported that her daughters did not return after a planned visitation with their father.

Police said Decker was believed to be living out of a white 2017 GMC Sierra pickup, which was last seen heading west on Highway 2 from Wenatchee on May 30.

WSP was contacted Friday night for an Amber Alert request, but Wenatchee Police said it did not meet the required criteria, and an Endangered Missing Person Alert was issued.

Law enforcement eventually found Decker's car unoccupied near the Rock Island Campground.

Other officers searched the immediate area and found the bodies of the three missing girls.

Decker is wanted for three counts of first-degree murder and first-degree kidnapping. Police do not know if Decker is currently armed, but he may still pose a significant risk, according to police.

as shocked as i am that he did not off himself and i had believed he would, that he would be dead, to me there are too many credible sightings imo..... i think he's alive and it's him and that they are getting close
There's a type that never kills SELF. they will annihilate the family, etc. then intend to save their own precious hiney imo. If he is cornered, he MIGHT but wouldn't even count on that.

Then there is the type who takes out all and then themselves, true. In those cases though, they are often at the same scene dead or found very shortly after nearby or some such and that did not happen here. The girls were all together but not a sign of him.

LE seems convinced alive still.

This is reminding me quite a bit of the manhunt for Ian Eckles killer (WA - IAN ECKLES: Missing from Cle Elum, WA - 16 May 2020 - Age 41 *ARREST*). Which, coincidentally, is in the SAME area. (Not exactly the same, but in the Mineral Springs / Blewett Pass area which is just south of where they are now.) He was found in the Teanaway area which has been mentioned in this case as well. Same time of year (late May / early June) too.
That hunt lasted 23 days. So many places to lose yourself, intentionally or otherwise, out in these woods.

She may say something completely different once he is captured and charged. She may well be a target herself otherwise.
Maybe though not convinced. I mean there is a danger in that too if she hears or thinks she understands and forgives him, he may try to go to her. I don't know.

I think she believes what she is saying and no way can I understand her letting his act go and not holding him accountable. There ARE women like this, we see it often enough but I'lll never understand it.

Yeah well he probably wants to provoke him to break cover but i don't think it's a good idea. The guy could take a hostage or God knows what.
Yeah, we don't often see this. Not sure of the tactic if it is one. On the other hand, if he is known or thought to be in an area, it IS irresponsible not to tell the public in the area and so on.

I recall the name better than the case. How was he finally caught if at large in woods? What did they employ or do to catch him? I probably should read the link but I don't dare sidetrack much today for several reasons. If you're willing to remind us.

I feel like they are doing something here we might not know of. Or they know something. I could be way off base.

A rural resident saw him and called it in.

Coles Corner? That's the opposite direction.
But regardless, yes, he hasn't gone far (if it's him at all).

From the campground to Colchuck Lake is only about 9 miles as the crow flies. Probably a bit longer if you're not going up and over Cashmere Mountain, which is not generally suitable for winter/spring travel.

Colchuck to Ingalls Creek is only a further 7.5.

Yeah I know that. I just needed a scale on the map (there wasn't one on there) and the distance between those two places i could then use as a scale for the distance he had travelLed, which i then estimated as 30 miles as the crow flies from the point where the girls and dog were found.

Walking around Colchuk lake alone looks to be 8 miles not accounting for any elevation changes. It seems to me he is just hiding rather than having a destination, as such. Makes it easier for LE though as they can reduce the search area now until they catch him or he hands himself in hopefully.

You know, I think they probably have good evidence to make them believe he's where they think he is and announce it. That info and warnings make people nervous as cats. It's better not to scare gun owners with false info.

I'm impressed they are warning people, it is so rare, in the same breath I think I'd be advising people not to travel there, camp in the area, fish, etc. but of course that's really going to affect tourism. I don't think it good if a resident or visitor just encounter him unless the word is REALLY out there.

I can't shake the feeling they have some way of having an idea where he is. i don't know WHY I think that though.

There is a PC at 4 pm..... west coast time...dummy me forgot about those things called time zones today.... lol so thats 7 pm for me

I've been scouring Twitter and discussion groups on Facebook and haven't seen anything at all.
A Facebook discussion post within the last hour says Marshalls showed up at their house with a flyer saying they lost his trail but still searching. Log into Facebook
Guess we'll know for sure in an hour and a half or so.

This is the latest i have found on it.

Law enforcement agencies believe they are on the trail of Travis Decker, a suspect in a triple homicide, tracking him to the Blewett Pass/Highway 97 area. Authorities are asking the public, particularly residents and cabin owners in the area, to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
What we know:
The current lead developed after the Chelan County Sheriff's Office received a tip from a hiking party. The hikers reported seeing a lone individual in the Enchantments area who appeared ill-prepared for the conditions and was seemingly avoiding others. Tracking teams responded immediately, locating a lone, off-trail hiker from a helicopter near Colchuck Lake. The individual reportedly ran from sight as the helicopter passed.
Additional resources were called to the area, and K9 units were deployed after teams picked up a trail. The subject was tracked to the Ingalls Creek Trailhead area on Highway 97.
What you can do:
Authorities are asking hikers who have been in the Enchantments area within the last week and observed anything suspicious to contact the tip line. Solo hikers in the area recently are also asked to contact the tip line immediately to provide their information for investigators.
As the search continues, individuals with cabins or residences in the Blewett Pass/Highway 97 area are urged to report any suspicious activity, lock their doors and vehicles, and look out for their neighbors' property. Those with cameras, including trail cameras, in the area are asked to check them or submit a tip to the U.S. Marshals tip line with the camera's location for law enforcement review.
While federal agencies are leading the continued search, sheriff's office detectives remain actively engaged in the murder investigation, processing evidence and seeking additional evidence to build a strong case for prosecution.
The sheriff's office thanked its Detective Division, led by Sgt. Lewis, and the East Cascade SWAT Team, led by Sgt. Frank, Sgt. Foreman, and Deputy Eakle, for their "several hundred combined hours of work since locating Evelyn, Paityn, and Olivia deceased on June 2, 2025."

The sheriff's office also expressed gratitude for the community's support, specifically mentioning the Wenatchee Blue Family, Soup Ladies, and other local entities that have provided meals, snacks, drinks, and other essential items to law enforcement personnel. Governor Ferguson was also thanked for authorizing the National Guard to assist with the search, providing air assets and logistical support.
The United States Border Patrol has taken over operations and command for the search for Decker. Under their direction, they are following up on community tips and working closely with other federal entities. The sheriff's office and its regional partners remain available to assist as needed.

The public is asked to report tips regarding Decker's whereabouts to the U.S. Marshals Service via their tip line and website USMS Tips. The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading directly to Decker’s arrest. Decker should be considered armed and dangerous.
What's next:
If Travis Decker is sighted, individuals are advised to call 911 immediately and not attempt to contact or approach him. Anyone with information is urged to contact the nearest U.S. Marshals office, the U.S. Marshals Service Communications Center at 1-800-336-0102, or USMS Tips.

Any word if that's true @GrandmaBear
No and I'm sorry if there isn't. I don't generally bring some single comment that may or may not be true but I was so excited if true and didn't see much reason the person would have said so either. I should probably take it down. I did look a couple of times for new on such but nothing.
