Woman on cross-country trip missing, hasn't been seen in weeks
Authorities in Arizona are searching for a missing woman who disappeared, reportedly while driving from San Diego to Connecticut.

The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office said Chelsea Grimm was last seen on Sept. 28 in Williams, Ariz., though “she was possibly with her vehicle” on Sept. 30.

Grimm’s car was found by hunters on Oct. 5. They called to report a suspicious vehicle northeast of Ashfork, Ariz.

This is a long but really good video by "The Missing Enigma" YouTube channel. His videos on the missing are always good.

Apparently Chelsea had some mental heath issues that could be a factor. She lived in San Diego but was from Connecticut. She was traveling there to see her parents and attend a good friends wedding. She decided to drive because she wanted to be with her pet bearded dragon Rosie and found out she couldn't go with her on a plane.

After leaving on this trip she called her mom and told her she didn't want to go to the wedding and was going to camp out for awhile before heading back to San Diego. No reason for the cancellation was given.

The video goes through a detailed timeline of police and others who had contact with her during her time in Arizona. This video is worth the watch when time is available.

I watched this last night and found it to be VERY interesting. Seems to me that Chelsea was self-medicating with marijuana and it was causing her to have mental episodes. What a sad situation!

The missing enigma has a new video out about this case. I love the way he does cases and I’m so glad he has done a follow up on this one. Such an intriguing case.

Another video about Chelsea was posted by "The Missing Enigma." It's nearly an hour long but I think it's worth watching when time is available.

I found it interesting that Chelsea tried paying for a couple of different hotels with euros. Why? And why didn't she exchange the euros for dollars at a bank? She must have been low on usable cash because she bought only two gallons of gas in Williams and later ran out of gas.

She then traveled far off road and found a campsite to spend a night but left some clothes behind. Strange thing to do. She then destroyed two tires while off roading and stopped driving. Refused help from people who came by including a Fish and Wildlife officer.

For some strange reason the F&W officer left Chelsea out in the middle of nowhere to fend for herself. Never even reported it so someone could check on her later on. That's not right.

There were some hunters in the area that spotted her car with binoculars and observed three or four men around it at the time she disappeared. They also observed a Chevy pickup in the area driving with no plates. For some reason these sightings never made it into the official file. LE did confirm that it was aware of it.

This area of Arizona is not safe with Mexican cartels and sex offenders possibly being involved in this case.

The biggest news in this video was that after her phone data was finally reviewed it was found that the phone had been turned on by someone long after she disappeared.

While it's clear that Chelsea had some personal issues, this information about men around her car and the phone being turned on makes one think about foul play in this case.

Looks like you beat me to this while I was slowly composing my post.
I think of you every time I watch The Missing Enigma videos! So glad you told me about him.

I agree with him that officer Karen dropped the ball. For those who are interested, the discussion is right about the 27 minute mark.

Karen did offer some help like food, water, use of a cell phone and advice about walking many miles back to town.

Why didn't she offer to give Chelsea a ride? Or a promise that someone would check on her later on? I don't get it.

I think the part that I don’t get the most is that she told her how to walk to town and Town was miles away! She wasn’t from the area. I would imagine the officer would notice that from her license plates. It’s almost like she was just asking her to get lost. I know she really wasn’t, but still.

I guess some people are different than me and you. We would have done more to help for sure. Karen barely even remembered her encounter with Chelsea when contacted by The Missing Enigma guy.

I wonder what would have happen if Karen or the other people who stopped and talked to Chelsea had called the Sheriffs office and said that there's a woman who's car is disabled out in the boondocks who is refusing help.

I would hope that deputies would have then arrived and transported Chelsea to a safe place. After that who knows what the outcome would be but at least it would have been an attempt to help and protect her.

Oh! I forgot to ask you last night. What did you think about those four men around the car? Because when they found her car, everything was still very tidy inside. It doesn’t seem like they were digging around and they’re trying to get her belongings or anything.

and if they could see clear enough to see that the truck had no plates, why no descriptions and why questioning whether it was 3 or 4 men?

I find their presence very suspicious. The timing is right when Chelsea was last seen. Who were these guys? Cartel members? We don't know who they are or why they were there. They were not mentioned in the case file but the sheriff confirms they were seen at the car. Did the sheriff try to find out who they were?

Too many unanswered questions about these men.
