Watch: D4vd’s Manager Speaks Out Amid Celeste Rivas Hernandez Death Investigation

Celeste Rivas Hernandez's loved ones are honoring her life.
One month after the 14-year-old's body was discovered in the trunk of a Tesla owned by singer D4vd, she was buried at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery and Mortuary in Rowland Heights, California.
Celeste's family gathered at the Oct. 6 service—which was held in a large white tent on the cemetery grounds—to honor Celeste's life, per photos obtained by TMZ.
The funeral comes nearly two weeks after the teen's body was released to her family on Sept. 23, the Los Angeles County Coroner confirmed.
The Los Angeles Police Department has continued piecing together the events that led to Celeste's body being found in the car—registered to D4vd (real name David Burke)—which had been towed after sitting on a Hollywood Hills street for "several weeks."
The police posited in a Sept. 30 press release that, in conjunction with the Tesla being abandoned for an extended period of time, "Ms. Rivas Hernandez may have been deceased for several weeks before the discovery of her body."

"The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has not yet determined the cause or manner of Ms. Rivas Hernandez's death," the notice continued. "As such, it remains unclear whether there is any criminal culpability beyond the concealment of her body."
The LAPD assured that its Robbery-Homicide Division is "thoroughly examining every aspect of this case to uncover the truth and seek justice for Celeste Rivas Hernandez and her family."
Although the "Romantic Homicide" singer has not been charged in connection with Celeste's death—which has not been ruled a homicide—detectives had served a search warrant for the Hollywood Hills home near where the Tesla was parked, law enforcement sources told ABC News.

D4vd had allegedly been renting the home before beginning his Withered World Tour in August, which he ultimately canceled after Celeste's body was discovered. Although the singer initially performed at his Sept. 17 show, the day after her remains were found, he quietly removed the rest of his American tour dates.
While the international leg of his tour—scheduled to begin on Oct. 1 in Norway and continue until his Dec. 10 show in Australia—was still expected to move forward, he also canceled those dates, according to Ticketmaster.
As authorities continue to investigate Celeste's death, D4vd's manager told NBC News that the "Here With Me" singer is "fully cooperating with the authorities."

Where is D4vd From?

Born in Queens, New York, D4vd (real name David Anthony Burke) moved to Houston, Texas, when he was 13 years old.

How Did D4vd Become Famous?

D4vd first began his career as a streamer, playing Fortnite and other games in an attempt to go viral on YouTube. When he ran into copyright infringement challenges with the music he was adding to his videos in 2021, he turned to his mom.
“I'm like crying to Mom about it,” he told Benny Blanco during an interview for Hero magazine in September 2024. “I'm like, Yo, I don't know what to do I'm not making any money anymore, blah blah blah.’ And she was on a phone, and she was like, ‘Just make your own music, go get out of my face.’ And I was like, ‘Wait a minute. I could probably do that.'"
From there, despite not having any musical experience other than singing for fun, D4vd downloaded an app on his phone and started making music. Soon, some of his songs went viral, and after more of his original music started to go viral on TikTok, his career began to really take off.
The 20-year-old eventually released his debut album, Withered, in April 2025, embarking on his first world tour shortly thereafter.

When Was the Body Found in D4vd’s Car?

On Sept. 8, the Los Angeles Police Department was called to a tow yard in Hollywood over reports of a foul odor coming from a vehicle, law enforcement sources told NBC News.
The LAPD found human remains wrapped in a bag hidden in the front trunk of a Tesla, which was registered in Hempstead, Texas, under D4vd’s real name, David Anthony Burke.
Police said the vehicle had been towed to the impound lot after it was abandoned in the Hollywood Hills.

Who Was the Victim Found in D4vd’s Car?

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office September 16 said the remains found in the Tesla were identified as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, who had been reported missing on April 5, 2024. She was 13 years old at the time of her disappearance.
Her cause of death had been deferred, according to records from the Medical Examiner’s Office viewed by E! News on Sept. 17. Though her date of death was listed as September 8—the day her body was discovered—officials noted her body appeared to have been in the car for an extended period of time before its discovery and was “severely decomposed.”

What Has D4vd Said About the Investigation?

Following the discovery of Rivas Hernandez’s body, a spokesperson for D4vd said in a statement to NBC News that the singer "has been informed about what’s happened, and although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities."
Since then, D4vd canceled the remainder of his U.S. dates.
For the latest breaking

The home she lived in before and after she went missing? I'm assuming they mean the family home although the way they word that makes little sense and does not say as much.

The phone log for the home, are they saying it was a land line?

Are they being intentionally vague and cryptic? Otherwise it may as well be written in Greek.

I haven't been able to find out much about it.

I did find this but no information released so far.

From what i understand, her body was found in his car outside the house he had previously rented before going on tour. She had therefore been missing since 5 Apr 2024 ie 18 months.

From the link upthread -

"The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office September 16 said the remains found in the Tesla were identified as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, who had been reported missing on April 5, 2024. She was 13 years old at the time of her disappearance."
Her body was found in the front trunk (frunk) of his car a few days after it was towed, not outside the house. That is where the car was towed from but the body was not discovered until days later at the tow yard.

I haven't been able to find out much about it.

I did find this but no information released so far.

Interesting they put place of death as vehicle. It certainly is where she was found but maybe the header should say Location Decedent Found or some such as I doubt they are saying she died in the car are they... The header makes it sound as if that's where she died.

Did we know her body was dismembered? It had been in the car several weeks.

Authorities discovered the dismembered body of Celeste Rivas in the trunk of a car belonging to D4vd, earlier this month.
Celeste Rivas had likely been dead for "several weeks" before authorities discovered her body in a Tesla registered to D4vd, earlier this month, according to LAPD Captain and Commanding Officer Scot M. Williams. He spoke about the investigation with People for an interview published on Sunday.
Williams explained: "We know for sure that Celeste Rivas Hernandez died and someone placed her body in the front trunk area of David Burke's [d4vd's legal name] Tesla."
"We know that the Tesla had been parked at the location from which it was towed for several weeks, so it is very likely Celeste Rivas Hernandez had been dead for several weeks prior to her body being discovered," he added. "The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has not determined a cause or manner of her death, so we don't know for sure if anyone has any criminal culpability for her death beyond the concealment of her dead body."
Williams also noted that police executed a search warrant "at a residence near where the car was towed." He could not confirm what was taken from the property.

D4vd has not been charged with any crimes related to Rivas' death. His representative previously confirmed that the singer has been cooperating with authorities. “D4vd has been informed about what’s happened. And, although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities,” they said in a statement. He has since canceled that tour.
Rivas' family has created a GoFundMe page to request help covering the costs associated with laying her to rest. “As many of you know, Celeste Rivas Hernandez has been identified as the body found last week,” a statement on the website reads. “She was a beloved daughter, sister, cousin, and friend. Her family is heartbroken and devastated by this tragic loss.”

Cops Have Rental Home Security Vids ... Was Celeste There Before Death???

LAPD's sitting on a potential goldmine in the D4vd investigation ... surveillance videos from the singer's Hollywood Hills rental home that could reveal whether Celeste Rivas was there prior to her mysterious death.

TMZ has learned cops seized all the footage from multiple security cameras at the house last month while executing a search warrant. The owner of the house, Malden Trifunovic, tells us the external cameras would show anyone who went in or out of the house ... so, the footage could help cops track Celeste's movements leading up to her demise.

Malden says he hasn't seen any of the footage himself, because he intentionally did not have access to the cameras, to allow his renters privacy -- so, he has no idea if Celeste was ever in the house. He says he's asked LAPD for a copy of the warrant and an itemized list of what was seized from the house, but has not gotten a response.

Malden has hired a private investigator to look into Celeste's death. He says his P.I. is still very early on in his investigation and has nothing to share yet.

THOUGHT OLDER BY FRIENDS
TMZ.com

As we've reported, people who partied with D4vd told us the singer and Celeste presented as a couple, but everyone thought the 14-year-old was actually 19, and a student at USC.

D4vd's Tesla -- in which Celeste's reportedly dismembered body was found -- was parked on the street a block away from the house when it was towed on Sept. 5 ... leading to the grisly discovery of her remains days later.

Nearly 6 weeks later, LAPD has not named a suspect or even persons of interest in the case. We know a major holdup for cops is the L.A. County Medical Examiner's Office determining Celeste's cause of death.

The landlord is saying he never got a list of what LE took in the search. Pretty sure that's against the law everywhere. I do know they have to give it here and I'm pretty sure it applies to everywhere.
