CELESTE RIVAS: Decomposed body of missing teen found in singer D4vd’s impounded Tesla *ARREST*

no link since i was listening while riding, but it seems that her parents are kind of giving conflicting info into how they knew him or not. They are claiming that they didn't know him, but also supposedly saying they knew him from church. Also noted that they signed a notarized statement for permission for her to travel out of the country with him. Not saying much for their parenting if they are giving their very much underaged child permission to travel out of the country with some guy they don't know.

I'm not blaming them for her death, but it does seem that they basically allowed her to be in the situation willingly.
I read somewhere back in the beginning that her parents allowed her to be with him, too. She may have even "ran away" to be with him and they gave up trying to keep her home. Seems like that's what I read, but don't quote me on it because it could be a rumor.

I'm just stumped on how they can claim they didn't know him but then turn around and sign permission for her to travel out of the country with him at about 13 years old. Oh, hellno!

D4vd legal team abruptly withdraws, singer taps public defender for murder trial

D4vd and his legal team parted ways with the singer opting instead to be represented by public defenders in his high-profile murder case, he told a stunned Los Angeles courtroom on Monday.

After lawyers had met with L.A. County Superior Court Judge Charlaine Olmedo in chambers, defense attorney Blair Berk emerged and told the court that her client, whose real name is David Burke, wants the public defender.

“Is that your wish, Mr. Burke,” Judge Olmedo asked.

The defendant responded, “Yes.”

The surprising turnaround came during what normally would have been a routine pre-trial hearing in this case, in which D4vd is accused of killing a 14-year-old girl, whose decaying remains were found in the trunk of his abandoned car.

D4vd’s new attorney, Walid Fouad Kandeel, had been seated in the gallery until Berk disclosed the change of legal teams.

Judge Olmedo then asked the public defender to step forward and introduce himself to the court.

The defendant’s new counsel asked for Monday’s arraignment to be continued to give him more time to study the case.

The judge denied that request before entering not guilty pleas on behalf of the defendant, promising to give Kandeel more time to prepare if he needed it.

Is Burke out of money? Seems like it! That's really interesting. So now the case will most likely be delayed.....

Saw another article that he transferred all of his assets to a trust ran by his mother.
When he first did it, they said it was probably to protect his assets from any civil lawsuits from Celeste's family.

Well, I’ll bet there’s some way for justice to wiggle around that!
