CELESTE RIVAS: Decomposed body of missing teen found in singer D4vd’s impounded Tesla *ARREST* (3 Viewers)

I am finding it hard to understand how the subject is still free, despite having a dead body in his car.

This has been months and no arrest.
They didn't have proof she was murdered yet, let alone who actually did it. There were too many people that had access to that car to just arrest him...yet
At this point, the timing "might" be that if happened when he was on tour. Of6 that ended up being the case, why would he be the one arrested and for what?
I'm glad they are taking their time so they arrest the correct person, no matter who that turns out to be

I think he is responsible, but let's wait to arrest him when they have actual proof of exactly who did exactly what to her.

Well if she was frozen for an unkown period of time they probably won't be able to determine a specific or accurate time of death. They should, however be able to determine who had access to his car keys since she was last seen. Hopefully there is activity behind the scenes that we don't know about.

She was dismembered I believe too. That alone to me indicates she was murdered.

From upthread

"D4vd's Tesla -- in which Celeste's reportedly dismembered body was found -- was parked on the street a block away from the house when it was towed on Sept. 5 ... leading to the grisly discovery of her remains days later."

D4vd-Celeste case: LA grand jury reportedly considers evidence

A grand jury in Los Angeles has heard evidence in the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, the teen runaway whose remains were found Sept. 8 in a Tesla owned by recording artist D4vd, according to published reports.

The Los Angeles Times, citing two law enforcement sources, said the district attorney’s office this month had presented information to an investigative grand jury, a panel that can be convened to subpoena witnesses, secure evidence and recommend charges. It wasn’t clear if the proceedings have wrapped up, but several witnesses reportedly have been called.

Word about the grand jury comes as police persuaded a judge to bar the Los Angeles Medical Examiner from releasing results of Hernandez’s autopsy. In a court petition related to that decision, a detective refers to investigative efforts as “an investigation into murder.”

TMZ has reported the Los Angeles Police Department considers D4vd and a second individual to be suspects in the death of Hernandez, who is believed to have been 14 when she died.

LAPD Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton said “accountability is coming” and that detectives “are going to get justice for Celeste Rivas,” the L.A. Times reported.

Private investigator Steven Fischer, who was hired by the singer’s landlord, told “Banfield” last month the Tesla was driven from the residence July 29 to the spot from where the vehicle was later towed and impounded. He said he uncovered surveillance video of the person behind the wheel during that last run and turned the footage over to LAPD.

“You can see the person … they’re wearing something pretty distinctive, and there’s photos that I have from 12 hours earlier of a person at the house wearing the same thing,” said Fischer, who declined to offer more information.

Finally, some buzz and hints the last few weeks and this now, that he will likely be charged, along with at least one other most likely.

I took that to mean it may not be D4vd driving.

What they really need is video of the person putting her remains in the vehicle at the residence.

So it seems two people may be involved and/or responsible.

From the TMZ link

A grand jury was reportedly convened to gather information on the death of Celeste Rivas.
The grand jury heard evidence for several days in mid-November ... this according to the Los Angeles Times. The Times reported the existence of the grand jury was disclosed in the LAPD's petition to block the L.A. County Medical Examiner's Office from release information about her death.

The grand jury was assembled as an investigative tool, and not to specifically indict anyone for Celeste's death. It has the ability to recommend charges, and it's unclear if it did so. It's also unclear if that grand jury is still gathering evidence.
The grand jury is empowered to subpoena witnesses and gather evidence.

TMZ broke the story ... the LAPD is considering Celeste's death a homicide, and singer D4vd is a suspect. We're also told there is a second suspect who may have assisted in dismembering her body.

A music industry professional on Monday was asked a series of difficult questions in an ongoing grand jury probe of musical artist D4vd in the death of Celeste Rivas.
Authorities with the Los Angeles Police Department's Robbery Homicide Division in November declared D4vd, 20, a suspect in the homicide of the teenager.

Rivas' remains were recovered from an impounded Tesla under the rapper’s name in Hollywood, California on September 8, officials said.
Robert Morgenroth works as the general manager for the artist (whose real name is David Anthony Burke), as well running a touring company that oversees travel itineraries for musicians.
Morgenroth spent the entirety of Monday in front of a grand jury in Los Angeles speaking about the case, sources told TMZ.

Daily Mail has reached out to Morgenroth and reps for D4vd for further comment on the storyMorgenroth told his lawyer that Deputy District Attorney Beth Silverman had been 'very pushy' while questioning him.
Morgenroth was heard telling his lawyer that he explained to the prosecutor that he didn't feel it was within his purview to contact authorities in the specific situation (which was not immediately clear).
'I said I feel like I didn't have the responsibility to do that,' Morgenroth told his attorney, according to the outlet.
Morgenroth said he 'just wanted to continue with the tour' in his grand jury testimony, the outlet reported.
The music executive's testimony pointed to prosecutors methodically building a case against D4vd, TMZ reported.

This like many has many cases on it. It has Camila, Sydney, now this case and then Reiner.

This case starts oh not sure but around 17:30 minutes in or thereabouts. Reiner is after it. Geragos is on, not a fan of his, but what he has to say here is interesting.

First of all in this case a grand jury has been in session and it seems they are hearing from many a witness and it is thought it will continue at least to FEBRUARY and has been going on already for a bit.

Geragos said a grand jury is very unusual. He said the autopsy results in Reiner being sealed is also unusual. He is talking of there being problems the past six month, and in both cases it seems, between the LAPD and their medical examiner... It's pretty interesting and would seem indicative to me that one party or the other is trying to hide something here or do the other party in... And in two "famous" big name cases, imagine that.

I'd recommend taking a listen. I'm not quite through with it yet but am getting there.

Prosecutors have presented a grand jury with their evidence against D4vd, sources confirmed to Us Weekly, as Los Angeles authorities continue to pursue murder charges against the singer several months after the dismembered body of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas was recovered from the trunk of a Tesla registered in his name.

A prosecution source who spoke on condition of anonymity confirmed to Us Weekly grand jurors have already started mulling evidence in the case. They’ve also heard key testimony from case witnesses, the source said.
The convening of the grand jury was first reported by TMZ on Monday, December 29.
Prosecutors are intent on seeing the “Romantic Homicide” singer, 20, tried for Rivas’ killing, the source said, noting the Los Angeles Police Department’s “meticulous” investigation into the teen’s suspicious death, and adding nothing about the probe was “rushed.”
Us Weekly had previously confirmed that the LAPD launched a death investigation after officers were dispatched to a Hollywood tow yard on September 8 on a report of “a foul odor coming from a vehicle.” Authorities subsequently located human remains inside the Tesla registered to D4vd (born David Anthony Burke).
The car was found and towed one week after it was reportedly abandoned.
Soon after the grisly find, a spokesperson for D4vd told NBC News in a statement that the musician had “been informed about [what] happened” and was “fully cooperating with the authorities” despite being on tour.

Law enforcement ultimately confirmed the identity of the body found in the car as 15-year-old Rivas, noting that the remains were “severely decomposed.” She had also been dismembered.
Rivas had been missing since April 2024. She was last seen in Lake Elsinore, California, located approximately 70 miles southeast of Los Angeles.
Rivas’ mother told TMZ in September that her daughter had a boyfriend named David. As Us Weekly has reported, Rivas and D4vd both had the same “shhhh” tattoo on their right index fingers.
While the singer was still on tour, police searched his home for clues. Officials have not revealed Rivas’ cause of death, but they have been handling the investigation as a homicide since day one.
In the aftermath of Rivas’ body being discovered, D4vd canceled his U.S. and international tour dates, which were originally scheduled to run through this month. His music label, Interscope, and its parent company, UMG, also reportedly halted the September release of the deluxe version of his Withered album.
D4vd first gained popularity in 2022. Later that year, he signed with Interscope Records. He released his debut album, Withered, in April and embarked on tour in August.
D4vd has not responded to Us Weekly‘s repeated requests for comment, and his lawyer, Blair Berk, could not be reached by press time.
Recently, a private investigator hired by D4vd’s former landlord revealed the presence of a burn cage in his onetime Hollywood Hills abode.
Steve Fischer took to X to talk about finding the incinerator, adding it was unused and still in its original packaging. Fischer said that the incinerator burns “at 1,600 degrees,” and noted crematoriums typically set their equipment to 1,400 degrees.
“To be very clear, this burn cage was not used,” wrote Fischer on X. “It was still new and in the box. However, given that Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s remains were ultimately found in the Tesla frunk, the presence of an incinerator at the same residence associated with that vehicle necessarily raises questions about intent.”
Fischer shared images of the burn cage with his X post. “The Burn Cage was not taken during the search warrant and because it was not used it appears it’s not of importance to any possible criminal investigation,” Fischer wrote. “But we think it’s important [in] context, even if not criminal. The burn cage and other related items were delivered to the residence under a false name, although the deliveries were accepted at the property.”

In the one above, Fischer also told him that there was a chain saw as well as the burn cage. He said it made no sense he'd have these things as it was a rental and it was not up to him to take care of the grounds. However, if I recall, he also said they didn't appear to have been used but it could have shown some evil plan and intent to use odd things like that (not sure why he's making such a big deal about it everywhere if they are not evidence? I paraphrased that.

He also said he thought the manager guy was the one living in the house along with his family and he had no idea D4VD was living there and in fact had never heard of the guy.

And yeah, there has been a grand jury going on which Geragos in another link said was unusual there.

I'm hoping they have enough to get him on murder charges and not just abuse of a corpse or something. And that it comes down soon, he's been free long enough imo. Assuming he did this of course.

Yes I read another article that stated there was a chainsaw at the property as well as the burn cage. It said the burn cage was unused and still in its box. The chainsaw had the guard on it but it was not mentioned whether it had been used or not. As Celeste was dismembered, i would imagine LE seized that for evidence. In the article i just posted it says the burn cage wasn't taken as evidence, but no mention of the chainsaw, so i presume LE took that.

I got the impression neither was used and it's hard to believe Fischer would have access before LE but I guess it's possible. if he was the items, then it would seem LE did not take such.

I think it might just be a bit of sensationalism and of course everyone is repeating it or having him on, etc.

I just hope they get the right person(s) and all involved charged. While D4VD sounds the most logical, there were so many that were possibly involved with the amount of people surrounding him.

I do agree others may well have been involved and should be charged. However, if they can get the actual killer first, if indeed he was, nothing wrong with that. Hopefully others will follow OR they will show they have no evidence or reason to think others were involved. Of course it's always possible too they made a deal with someone. Or will.

My main concern is that they can show this was a homicide.

Rumor trat there was one arrest at least made in this case.... Was watching a show and at end said he heard that in that case but it was too late for him to hunt down the info and confirm before the live show...

Yes an associate has been arrested who failed to show as a witness for the GJ apparently.

Neo Langston, an alleged close friend of singer D4vd (real name David Anthony Burke) was arrested Thursday evening in Helena, Montana, for an out-of-jurisdiction warrant for Los Angeles County for Failure to Appear, Los Angeles was told by the senior detention officer at Lewis and Clark County Detention Center.
Langston was booked into the Lewis & Clark County Jail at 5:56 p.m. on Jan. 22, 2026, according to the Helena Police Department. A call-for-service document obtained byLos Angeles shows officers apprehended Langston on Knight Street in Helena, though police declined to comment on the underlying case that led to the warrant. Langston currently remains in custody, Helena police said. Knight st. is a mainly residential area, per Helena locals. A photographer for Helena Online posted photos on X showing Langston being hand-cuffed on the steps of a residence wearing a grey hoodie, brown beanie, and navy blue sweats.

AsLos Angeles previously reported, a grand jury in Los Angeles has convened in connection with the ongoing investigation into the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose remains were discovered on September 8, 2025, inside the front trunk of a Tesla registered to Burke. LAPD has not publicly disclosed whether Langston is connected or expected to testify before the panel; however, the current news of his arrest would indicate he’s needed.
Burke and Langston once appeared frequently together on social media. But in the months following the discovery of Hernandez’s body, Langston appeared to delete or archive most images linking him to the singer.
