Anna'a bio-mom may not have stepped up to the plate to care for Anna, but she sure shouldn't have had to "sneak" to go to Anna's funeral! Anna's dad doesn't sound like a father who made choices in the best interest of his daughter - from what I'm reading in these recent reports. I had a situation with a flake of a father, but I still allowed him visitation, even when it needed to be supervised. And child support? I rec'd $100 total. (He is now deceased).
Okay, down from my soapbox.
Heather Wright, who had been estranged from her daughter for several years, spoke out after authorities formally ruled the girl’s death a homicide.

“They said I never went, but I did,” said Wright, who lives in Oklahoma.
“I didn’t want to be seen, so I made sure no one seen me — plus they can’t stop me from going anyway, even though Chris said he would have me arrested for back child support.”
