Amber Alert issued for missing Yakima girl who was threatened by man with felony warrant​


An Amber Alert has been issued for a 15-year-old girl from Yakima, Washington.

Angeles Revuelta-Buenrostro was last seen Monday. Investigators said she went to take out the garbage at her home on the 1000 block of North 2nd Street, but she did not return.

A 36-year-old man, Daniel B. Ovante, has been identified as a person connected with this case.

Revuelta-Buenrostro was recently found in Arizona with Ovante, according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Investigators said Ovante had coerced the teen via social media.

Investigators said Ovante has recently made threats to come take Revuelta-Buenrostro and kill her family.

Ovante was last known to be driving a Black 2001 Ford F150 with Arizona plates BYR6257.

Ovante has a felony warrant and is considered by law enforcement to be armed and dangerous.

Washington police looking for Amber Alert suspect who may be in Idaho​

Authorities in Yakima, Washington are looking for a possible suspect in a child abduction case and say he could be in Idaho.

It happened around 11:20 Monday morning, according to a news release from the Yakima Police Department. Fifteen-year-old Angeles V. Revuelta-Buenrostro went to take the garbage out from her house in northeast Yakima and never came back.

The comments under the first article are interesting. And both articles are unclear. Is she missing or not? The news needs to make this CLEAR. It sounds like they are looking for him and using an Amber Alert to do it, not looking for her. Or am I misreading both?

I am all for snagging the individual but Amber Alerts are for the recovery of the child and not for a wanted suspect...
 
Yes, she's missing. The AMBER Alert text is poorly worded.

She recently disappeared in September, and was later located with him in Arizona. She was returned to her family. He made threats to come and get her and kill her family. She is now missing again.

Thank you. That is the way I first took it. However, after reading comments I was not so sure... It certainly does not clearly state it. The "threat" is clearly stated but it was not stated clearly that she was taken again...

I think the issue is that nobody directly witnessed it or saw him take her. They assume he did because of the previous history between the two, the threats, and her disappearing again. "36-year-old Daniel B. Ovante had threatened he would come and take Angeles and kill her family. He may be responsible and is still at large."

I would imagine they have more information at this stage though. Cell phone pings or got his plate on a plate reader.

I just got an update on my phone with new vehicle information. Black 2008 Lexus IS-F with Arizona plates F6A4BKA.

Authorities said a second possible suspect involved in the missing teenager. Police say the second suspect is Eric Anthony Landeros, a 34-year-old Hispanic man. He was last seen driving a 2008 4-door Lexus with Arizona license plates F6A4BKA.

AMBER Alert is now active in Washington, Idaho, and Arizona.
(No way they could be in Arizona yet...it's at LEAST a 15 hour drive and it's not been 12 yet. Also they'd have to go through Nevada or Utah to get there, depending on the route.)

That's good. This girl and her parents it looks like may continue to have a problem if these guys are free. Hopefully, if it was both, the other ends up in custody as well.
 
Wow. I already felt terrible for her parents and the end of the article makes it sound as though she wanted to go and even possibly arranged it or helped.

I hope they have some option of getting her some help or placing her even somewhere until she is past this, is older and sees it for what it is.

On the other hand, I will just put the words/terms "border" out there and "prior convictions". Another one that should have not even been free...
