Andrew Gosden (born 10 July 1993)[1] disappeared from Central London on 14 September 2007 when he was aged 14. On that day, Gosden left his home in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, withdrew £200 from his bank account and bought a one-way ticket to London from Doncaster station.[2] He was last seen on CCTV leaving King's Cross station. Despite numerous national appeals for information in the years following his disappearance, Gosden's reason for travelling to London that day and his subsequent fate have never been established.

Andrew has been missing from his home in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, since 14 September 2007. He was last seen on CCTV footage at King's Cross Station in London later that morning. When Andrew went missing he was 5ft 3in tall, slim with light brown hair and brown eyes. He needs strong prescription glasses. He was last seen wearing black jeans and T-shirt.

Andrew was last seen at 8-30am as he was heading down Littlemoor Lane, Balby, Doncaster towards Westfield Park. Andrew returned from school after his parents had gone to work, and changed out of his uniform. He emptied his bank account – taking around £200 – and without leaving a note went to Doncaster station and bought a one-way ticket to London King’s Cross (refusing a return even though the cost was about the same).

It is thought that he boarded a train at Doncaster Railway Station at 9-35am on the day he went missing arriving at London Kings Cross Station at 11-20am. South Yorkshire Police released CCTV footage from Kings Cross Station on 14 September 07, the day he went missing, there are no confirmed sightings after this one.

South Yorkshire Police say their investigation into the disappearance of 14-year-old Andrew Gosden is still ongoing after 18 years.


There have been many reports of people who look like Andrew, but no positive sighting has ever been confirmed

Detective Chief Inspector Andrew Knowles, who is leading the investigation, said:

"Any new information which we receive is carefully considered, reviewed and investigated by us where appropriate. We have regular contact with Andrew's family, and they will be the first to be informed if there is any progress or updates in our investigation."

"It’s never too late to share information with police. If you think you know something that could help officers find Andrew, please contact us online or via 101.

We are aware of recent disinformation which has been circulating online about this case. Such disinformation is distressing for Andrew’s family and unhelpful to the investigation.

South Yorkshire Police has hit out at online disinformation about the disappearance of 14 year old Doncaster boy Andrew Gosden, who has ben missing for 18 years this month.

The teenager was last seen at London King's Cross Station on September 14 2007, having skipped school to travel down to the capital on the train.

No other rumoured sightings from that day have been verified.

In 2022 two men, aged 38 and 45, were arrested in connection with the case but were subsequently released without charge.

Detective Chief Inspector Andrew Knowles, who is leading the investigation, said:

“Sadly there have been no confirmed sightings of Andrew since 14 September 2007, at 11.25am in Kings Cross Station, London.

"Any new information which we receive is carefully considered, reviewed and investigated by us where appropriate.

"We have regular contact with Andrew's family, and they will be the first to be informed if there is any progress or updates in our investigation."

Andrew Gosden's Dad Speaks Out 19 Years After Teen Took Train to London and Vanished Without a Trace​

On Sept. 14, 2007, 14-year-old Andrew Gosden vanished after leaving his home in Doncaster, England.


Nineteen years later, Andrew's father Kevin Gosden shared that what happened to his son is still a mystery.

"We still miss Andrew all the time," he shared in a blog post, "and have no resolution of any kind."

Kevin acknowledged that when it was time to write a blog post for Andrew's 33rd birthday this past July, he found himself "literally having no idea what to write."

"A little later, as I reflected on it, I realised that I would end up writing a blog about not writing a blog," he explained. "Some of it comes down to the ongoing battles with depression and anxiety, some of it simply because nothing has changed and never seems to."

Kevin also revealed that he's been approached several times this year about making a documentary about his son's disappearance.

" have felt unable to say yes," he admitted, "because telling the story again is so painful, and that after so long (19 years) I have discovered that none of it has turned up anything concrete about what happened to our son."

While taking part in a documentary hasn't felt right this year, Kevin said the exception to this has been his media collaborations with the UK charity Missing People—including in a recent video highlighting the importance of the organization's work.

"The greatest hope in our situation for so long," he said, "is that others are spared this pain and should they have to endure it, they know where to turn for help and support."


South Yorkshire Police also recognized the 19th anniversary of Andrew's disappearance.

"We continue to review any information we receive in relation to Andrew's disappearance," the department noted on Facebook. "It's not too late to get in touch, and if you know something that could help us find him, please get in contact with us. Even the smallest piece of information could prove to be helpful."
