Amber Alert issued for abducted 7-year-old girl from San Antonio​

An Amber Alert has been issued for an abducted 7-year-old girl from San Antonio.

Officials are searching for Amarianna Benavidez, 7. She was last seen on June 19, around 1:26 p.m. wearing a pink shirt, purple shorts and no shoes.

Police did not initially describe the circumstances leading up to the 7-year-old’s disappearance.

(Gray News) - Authorities canceled an Amber Alert early Tuesday morning for a 7-year-old girl in Texas.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children said the girl was initially reported missing to the San Antonio Police Department on Monday.

The 7-year-old girl is 4 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 70 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt, purple shorts and no shoes.

Officials did not initially provide an update to the child’s condition after the Amber Alert was canceled.

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Authorities discontinued an Amber Alert Tuesday morning for a 7-year-old girl last seen in San Antonio. Authorities said the girl has been found.

The Texas Department of Public Safety sent an alert to cell phones Monday night saying law enforcement was looking for Amarianna Benavidez.

A tweet from Texas Alerts posted at 2:27 a.m. Tuesday said the alert was discontinued and the girl was found.

SAN ANTONIO - Two arrests have been made in connection with the abduction of a 7-year-old girl from the Northwest Side.

The San Antonio Police confirmed that Amarianna Benavidez was "found safe and in good health" around 2 a.m. Tuesday off Madison Oak Drive near Stone Oak Parkway.

Amarianna was last seen around 1:30 p.m. Monday off Northwest Loop 410 near TX-16 in Leon Valley.

Police said that two people, a 34-year-old female and a 21-year-old female, were arrested in connection with this kidnapping case.

SAN ANTONIO - Two women arrested in connection with the abduction of a 7-year-old girl on Monday have been identified.

The San Antonio Police arrested Nickie Sue Ellen Garcia, 34, and Nya Fernandez O'Donnell, 21, on Tuesday. Both are charged with the kidnapping of Amarianna Benavidez, who police said was "found safe and in good health" around 2 a.m. Tuesday off Madison Oak Drive near Stone Oak Parkway.

Both women are being held in the Bexar County Jail on $30,000 bond.
