On July 15, 2002, Temple Terrace police found the partially decomposed body of Abdul Rahman Al Hamdman, 47, in his apartment at 8504 W Riverchase Drive in the Colonial Grand Apartments.
Al Hamdman had been strangled, Temple Terrace Detective Bernard Seeley said Tuesday after the agency released the reward information.
Seeley also said that Al Hamdman's 1991 beige four-door Nissan Maxima had been found at 4904 Nassau St., a block from N West Shore Boulevard, about 7 a.m. July 11, 2002, four days before his body was found.
Someone had tried to set it on fire, Seeley said. The car was smoldering when Tampa police arrived. The car was impounded with no attempt to contact Al Hamdman.
