i wonder if there was an.y actual chalk marks out back. Didn't they say the kids went out to play with chalk? NO kid is going to go outside with chalk in their hands and not at least mark on something. Wanna bet there were NO chalk marks?
That's debated a lot. Most say no. There is a whitish area but it sure does not look like marks children would make, more like faint blotches. To me it looks more like cement or concrete dust or fading of patio concrete, etc. Maybe even desert dust or some such...

There is what looks like it may be one piece of probably white chalk laying there. The funny thing though is if it was chalk, I would think LE would have taken it. It is just kind of odd whatever it is I gather i still laying there, per recent photos of the boarded up house.

If I were LE, I'd be asking to see the chalk and see if they can get DNA from it.

Yes, that's what makes me wonder if it is chalk because they didn't take it. Some are outright saying it is but there is no way to tell that I can see, not that I am good with enhancing pics or anything. It could be anything white and kind of that shape. I am not sure the scale is right either but it's hard to tell, cameras give funny angles sometimes.

Bill Garcia, a private investigator for more than 30 years started working on the missing boy's case of Orrin and Orson West, last Saturday.

Garcia says he met a woman in California City who said her mother saw the boys at the Albertson's parking lot in Tehachapi on December 23.

"She said that once she saw the news report about the missing boys, that she was sure that, that was the boys, with these two adults, which were both male," Garcia, Owner of Bill Garcia Investigative Services, said.

He says the woman claims one of the men was African-American and the second one could have been, he says they were in their 20s to 30s and dressed normally.

"She claimed that she saw them walking for the Albertson's through the parking lot and each person had a hold of one of the boys' hands, but there wasn't any deliberate attempt to move away from them or anything like that, it seemed normal," Garcia, said.

He says the woman contacted California City Police and has not heard back. Eyewitness News also contacted California City Police and has not heard back.

Garcia tells Eyewitness News he thinks the best place to look for Orrin and Orson West is in rural isolated parts of Tehachapi, like Sand Canyon and surrounding areas.

I saw this last night and am not sure what I think about it. Personally, the way it sounded to me in what I heard was she contacted the PI because she had not heard back from the PD. I would imagine the PD checked it out or knew it could not be and I don't think they usually respond to tipsters with what they learn. I don't put much faith in it because of that. Jmo.

Well in reference to the above, now AG Watchmen are reporting Private Investigator Bill Garcia is off the case. He claims police threatened Garcia and accused him of fabricating witnesses. Most comments seem to think LE is crooked. I am more torn. I saw no reason for Garcia to share that "witness" info yesterday when it could have been nothing but a hoax or false tip/sighting or meant well but maybe the wrong children. There is I feel also some sensationalism going on in this case and a lot of misdirection and false leads.

I had heard of Garcia before but I truly have no opinion of him one way or the other and thought he was doing this out of the goodness of his heart but not so sure now. Why need to advertise anything until he checks it out, if even then? I don't think he is running a channel or anything... Who knows...

On the other hand, there are a lot of comments about what people think of the PD there and various things surrounding this case including the uncle, the fact CPS could be under fire and other big things involved.

So it's anyone's guess of what the truth is. Smh. Whatever the case may be, it's sad since none of it helps the boys and in fact some could hinder the outcome.

in my local case there was a PI trying to insert himself into the case and was posting everything online. I believe he did more harm than good in doing so. All he added was drama.

That's what this is looking like and I gather he is posting online. I am unaware of where but maybe FB or some such, no idea. Yet there are a lot of things being said about LE and that area too.

Then most of the Youtubers are good and just covering the case but you get one here and there sometimes that you wonder if they are going to far and interfering almost...

It's just a shame because some of it is turning into quite a circus and at the bottom of it, the point is two boys are missing.

Yeah exactly. I don't think there's any issue with reporting the tip to the PI, just to make sure it was looked into. But if LE had to respond to every tipster to say, "Yes, we checked out your tip," that could get a bit tedious and waste their time. Not only that, but the tip was two men (so clearly not the parents) holding the hands of two boys, in public, calmly and not under duress or acting suspiciously, just 2 days after they were reported missing?

I would like to know more about this PI. Because to have been a PI for 30 years, and to put THIS tip out to the public? ..... What? Interesting to hear that he's off the case now.

I have been so into this case to the point that some of the stuff out there is ticking me off and it is really getting crazy. I don't know much about this PI just knew I heard his name before and he was involved in a few other known cases. It almost makes me think of a lawyer who seeks the news, like Geragos, Patterson, etc. I am not saying he is like that but it sounds like from the day he started he was sharing where he was going, etc. So what is his real purpose? I don't know.

And yes, I agree, I mean check out tips don't get me wrong but why would abductors even do that? You'd leave the two boys in a vehicle with the other man, you wouldn't be seen with them in public... Just makes no sense. I am not saying it might not be a true sighting but these were boys that allegedly were never out in public and they are in the store with two men just all calm and normal? I just really doubt it. And now it's out there to muddy the waters where most know there have been no true sightings (that we are aware of since before they were reported missing)...

Amazing to see the community coming together for these boys.

Reward for missing boys increases to $100K

The amount of reward money for the location of the missing 3-year-old Orson and 4-year-old Orrin West increased to $100,000 Wednesday as both Victory Baptist Church and West Coast Realty offered $10,000 to the already established combined $80,000.

Residents Ron and Kim Smith are offering $10,000 through Victory Baptist Church, while the other $10,000 comes from West Coast Reality.

Ron Smith, Victory Baptist's pastor, said the reward came with the policy of "information resulting in bringing the boys home." The reward would be covered by the Smiths directly through the church.

"I hope that something helps to bring those boys home alive," Smith said, adding keeping the boys in the news continues to help. He added the reward offered by West Coast Reality comes with the same criteria as the church's.

Smith said he is "really grateful" for West Coast's support, adding the business and its owner Leland Krelle "have helped some of the kids that are going through tough times" in California City.

GreenStone Cannabis Dispensary and Preferred Towing, owned by Rick Smith, have offered $10,000 each for information leading to the finding of the two boys. Additionally, Murphy's Pools and Spas offered $5,000.

California City's city council approved a $25,000 amount for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved in the boys' disappearance. The extended family of the boys' adopted parents on Monday, added $30,000 to the total amount.

Aren’t the police handling this case part of the city? Isn’t the city supporting these boys in a way I’ve never seen before? I would tend to side with the police on this one.

This truly is amazing! I wonder how much extra money this city has it it’s disposal? That’s a huge chunk of money for a small city.

I tend to lean that way too. However, there is a lot of scuttlebutt out there about this police chief. People (some) also claim this is a "privately owned" police department and more. Lots of talk about all of the missing from this fairly small city. Trafficking. Supposedly Kern County, CA is one of the worst in the nation and Bakersfield itself as well. However, I rarely see a case where when there are not instant results people don't start wondering if LE is doing their job and talk starts... I have done it myself on occasion or at least wonder. I don't generally go as far as this is going with the talk about the police, corruption, etc.

It is just one of those cases I guess where the rumors are rampant and things passed on that are not fact or misinformation is purposely being put in the mix. I swear I feel like I am on Facebook but it's Youtube. Generally it is not too bad on the crime channels but this one, wow, the commenters, etc.

I lived in Kern County 30 years ago. It had a bad reputation then! Used to be full of meth labs back then. There was also a lot of rumor about Satanic rituals and I once met somebody that swore that they were going on. There are a lot of outlying areas and a lot of places to hide and that’s why they can get away with it. It’s a challenge for financially strapped police departments. It doesn’t mean the police departments are crooked though.

I actually had a relative who lived in Bakersfield and I can't remember the years. He was out there maybe in the late 70s/early 80s? He had always dabbled in drugs but ended up overdosing big time out there. I guess it doesn't mean anything about the area but I would say he was caught up with people or a party scene that was way different than where he came from. He was young and while no one made him do it, I am not one to ever say that, we all have a mind of our own, it was not a good move. He did survive and moved back.

The satanic thing has actually come up in this case. People are saying the wife was into satanic rituals or some such. I have no idea where it came from but it is coming into some comments. I have watched most things on the case and never saw a source for it. I think I perhaps did see a hint of someone saying it had something to do with her hand gestures or something she did on camera, but don't take my word for it, just talking about all of the stuff out there...

There are comments that the "mafia" out there are bigger than the police. I don't think they mean the Italian mob... Probably to do with trafficking, drug or human, etc. You know me I do not want to get into politics, and I am not but will say generally that with no closed or protected border, illegal immigrants and police departments that are either underfunded or understaffed while crime and population explodes and whose powers some are trying to take away, things are only going to get way worse in times to come.

Now there is a lady who (this may well be true) allegedly got to be friends with Trezell and loaned him $5,000 when they were short on closing on the home. He has allegedly paid by $3,000. She said he told her he was into living a holistic lifestyle, organic, etc. and they wanted to move to Cal City to grow their own veggies, live off grid and home school the children. She said in like July I think he told her they had four children! Now, this to me is damning. However, I do have to wonder when the other two children that were not theirs came along, not sure if we have ever heard.

Here is a woman who did a pretty short and good recap of recent things who does not go off in directions or down rabbit holes.

I remember especially Bakersfield having alot going on behind the scenes..

Interesting and it fits a lot of what is being said out there about Bakersfield. There is also a lot of talk about Cal City and a high number of missing children and adults for its size.

I should mention that the short video I posted above has a little bit of the interview after it appears the video has ended worth sticking to the end for.

Have any of you ever lived in an area where there was persistent rumors of ritualistic satanism? I haven't. And I'm not talking about people who dabble in witchcraft, I'm talking about illegal bad-news type of activity.
