Guardian. Yeah. Ugh.

I'm hoping whoever she was staying with PRIOR to coming to stay with this guardian "recently" is who came and took her.
But that seems like an awful coincident that she'd be in an unattended vehicle.
And why was the guardian stopping at the place the vehicle was taken from? Looks mostly residential with a couple of businesses but nothing you would think of somebody leaving a car running at. Also, how long was the vehicle left unattended before it was taken?
It's nice enough now to not need to leave a car running if you are insistent on leaving a kid in a car Better yet, take the kid in with you!

Sketchy.

The girl’s guardian reportedly left her inside the Jeep to run back into a different apartment building, but the vehicle and the girl were both gone when the guardian went back outside.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the search has been hampered because the guardian did not have a photo of Aleise. The guardian has just recently gained custody of the girl, according to the Post-Dispatch.

It’s possible that the suspect may be on foot, and there is a wooded area and railroad tracks near the apartment complex where the Jeep was found.

So what was going on in this apartment that you would leave a kid in the car with it running? Hmmmmmm... Nothing good or it didn't happen are my top choices so far.

I completely agree with you. I never left my God kids in the car. Did I trust THEM?. Yes. But no way.

HOAX!

AFFTON, Mo. -- Police in Missouri said the report of a 5-year-old girl who went missing after she was left unattended in a running vehicle that was then stolen was a "hoax" -- and that two women involved are expected to face charges.

Well no wonder they didn't have a picture of her. I wonder if the child exists at all.
Better than some other outcomes, I suppose...

I am very happy the girl is not missing. But. WTH were these 2 geniuses thinking?. Why?. They need to be charged. Too bad stupidity isn't a crime. DEYYYAAAHHH!
I just can't think of why they would do this. I certainly don't trust them. They need to find a good home for that little girl. One was her aunt because her mom died. Unbelievable.

Sounds like they were getting nowhere when reporting a stolen car so added the urgency by adding a make believe child .

That is so stupid. Fiing a false report. Bravo. You f'ed up. And that 2 people made that decision. Sounds good to me too. Duh.

I hope that the time span of this hoax was so short that no one that’s actually missing a child saw it. How terribly painful it is for them each time a child goes missing.
