THIS JUST IN ~ CURRENT CRIME STORIES #2 (13 Viewers)

Check out how they found them!

Why does it refer to the 11 year old as missing and doesn't refer to the 15 year old as anything almost as if it is okay he is with the man? He is also a minor so it is not okay, he can't be there by choice. They charged him for ramming with the vehicle but do not mention him being any kind of victim. Odd.

A lot more detail in this one. Still a bit confusing though. So sounds like parents and this group and this man all knew each other... The 15 year old did take off, slam a vehicle into police car, etc. and deserves arrest. I GUESS the 15 year old could be his bio son but hard to say as it says later in the article that the perp took the boy and another kid... Was that other kid the 15 year old? I mean if that kid is not his own child, he should definitely have been taken and was a minor who was with this perp as well. And if his own child, should likely be taken away too. They are just extremely vague on the 15 year old.

So he took the younger boy because the younger boy posted that he'd abused a young female... Younger boy had run away before. His mom knew perp and the kids had him fix their 4 wheelers and such...

Sounds like a pretty not great bunch all around... Not sure what to think.

I'd still like to know what the story is with the 15 year old...

15-year-old charged as adult in Flagler County sex-offender kidnapping case

A 15-year-old will be charged as an adult after his arrest in connection with the reported kidnapping of a missing boy by a sex offender in Flagler County, according to the sheriff’s office.

Junior Bishop faces charges of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, fleeing and eluding at a reckless speed, grand theft of a motor vehicle, reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license and three counts of resisting an officer without violence, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Bishop is charged in part with stealing Hairston’s truck during that arrest, the sheriff’s office said, adding “Bishop’s involvement in the kidnapping as a possible co-conspirator is still under investigation.” He was taken to the Volusia County Branch Jail after his first appearance in court Friday morning and is being held on a $133,000 bond.

“This kid was already on probation for a violent offense when he committed these new felony crimes,” Sheriff Rick Staly said in a statement. “I commend and support our State Attorney for charging Bishop as an adult because of the seriousness of his crimes. Frankly, if you commit serious adult felonies as a juvenile, especially when you are already on probation, you should expect to be held accountable as an adult. This is especially true when your actions could have seriously injured a deputy sheriff.”

Hmm. I agree he deserves to be charged for his actions. It also says he was part of the kidnapping so yes deserves charging there too.

Wondering though about a 15 year old being with an adult man... Would seem like that would be a very separate thing.

I did read the link and appreciate it. It definitely shows he deserves arrest and charging but was he with this man as a minor and not his son?

I got the impression it was the man's son and he jumped in the driving seat and drove the vehicle away with the younger kid in it. LE gave chase and apprehended him. I guess they are not naming the 15 year old because he is a minor under arrest?

ETA I see they have named him and he has a different surname, so not his son I guess LOL.

I didn't get the impression it was his son BUT he could have a different last name and still be his son. Unmarried when having a child, mom can give a child their last name.

If NOT a bio son then I think it is very questionable he has this 15 year old with him...

This is interesting. Sad but interesting.

Near the Portland area. A mother is on who really represents her daughter well and has also investigated I take it with other victim's moms too. She has things she does not know yet and will not know until trial in 2027 I think it was said and it could be put off further if they find or add more victims of his to the trial/charges.

Hmm. What a very LONG read, a disturbing one but interesting as well. A lot to take in... Several thoughts but they are jumbled after reading it all at once. Maybe I should have done it in stages lol. One thought is you sure can see how Hollywood power can affect cases and witnesses... I have several other thoughts too but need to let them settle and order themselves...
I only read the first few paragraphs but right off the bat, that the parents first went to a lawyer rather than police causes me to question their motivation.

That and the fact that allegedly the mom was upset her kids were fired and not used in the last episode or season or whatever it was... Sorry for lack of specific recall, been some days since I read it and it was a lot. On the other hand, I see a lot of things I don't like about Busfield, and Melissa for that matter and have taken in more since that time. Heard more, etc.

I'm not sold with either side so far.

He's also had other things in the past... And I have other reasons for not believing him either...

I've got no full leaning yet but I can say I'm not liking Busfield and wife. And the one said too, the woman on the set, that everyone knows how bad Busfield is, and tries to just stay away from him, or something on that order.

The kid was getting withdrawn, not wanting to act where he had wanted to, etc.

I can only say I see things pointing in both directions...

But both Busfield and Gilbert were nuts to be fraternizing and buying gifts for them outside of the set, etc. NO Hollywood person doesn't know better...

But I can see the possibility the boy was coached by mom as well...

Not decided yet, just don't know enough yet. I do see plenty though to justify charging...

You know what really bothers me to no end?

Melissa Gilbert has talked about the fact she was 15 and Dean Butler was 32 during the Little House On The Prairie era. She was pretty traumatized by the romance/marriage storyline.

I'm surprised she's so willing to speak out in defense of her husband. I'd think if nothing else, she'd shut her mouth.
