That's rubbish if the grandparents had a spare bed in their room and had offered it.
It looks like the next hearing on Dec 5th is going to put a gag on the case details so we are not likely to here anything much after that date.
From the sounds of it the 16 yo was obsessed with her.
Ah right - near the end it says the younger brother bunked elsewhere that night (maybe with the grandparents?) so those two were alone that night. Also it said her journal was subpoena'd from her school locker.
Florida is one of the best states for public records and not sealing information. I am hoping no gag order results, although we seem to be seeing that more these days everywhere.
I saw a bit of a camera video supposedly where it shows her walking back to the cabin I think and as she goes to enter, he comes rushing out from across the hall behind her... Don't take my word for it as it was quick and the channel I was watching was new to me--I kept waiting for them to play more or replay it and gave up.
Yeah supposedly he had tons of pics of her on his phone taken at family gatherings and such that she was unaware he was taking. They are trying to now correlate her sending her dad a couple of messages and timing of things he did on his phone, etc. in correlation and he allegedly was deleting stuff or had from his phone too.
I don't know where all this stuff is coming from--do the feds have a leak...? Some could be from Carnival...?
Yes, gma and gpa had an extra bed. This was a not comedy of errors but tragedy of errors imo. She was 18 and of age BUT you still can lay down rules if you are paying for the trip. And they certainly should have had control of the minors. Yes, the youngest never got back into the room it sounds like? Why is it something wasn't discovered then?
Anna did go back out that night per her grandparents... Played $20 in the casino. Changed outfits.
You know, even allowing for naivete and cluelessness, I can't get past that this was bad parenting all the way around. And these were not too parents long married or who had parented each other's kids or done it together for years either...
I TRY to see it and be fair, like maybe they thought with her own brother in the room, the 14 year old, that would be a buffer but he wasn't in the room at the time was he...?
For the length of this post, I am still at a loss for words... You know, this probably would have happened on day whether at home or on the cruise... The parents were ignoring the problem imo.
She OR the two boys should have been in the grandparents' room. Or she should have had her own room. Think about it too, she likes to change outfits, put on makeup, etc., she's a girl on a trip and all that has to be done in that tiny room...
