The teenager who was
found dismembered in a car registered to D4vd once had a boyfriend named David, her mother claimed.
Celeste Rivas, 15, was discovered decomposed inside the front trunk of a Tesla belonging to the 20-year-old singer, whose legal name is David Anthony Burke. The teen had been reported
missing from Lake Elsinor, California, in April 2024.
The
teen's mom said she felt the body belonged to Celeste after hearing the police description of the victim, including a tattoo on her finger with the letters "Shhh..." and her outfit. D4vd, as well as other celebrities,
have a similar tattoo.
Speaking to
TMZ, Celeste's mom said she had a boyfriend named David. The girl's remains were found in the car following reports of a foul odor emanating from the vehicle, which was impounded last week at a Los Angeles tow yard. She was wearing a tube top with black leggings and a yellow bracelet.

Her body, wrapped in plastic, was so badly decomposed that it wasn't fully intact, authorities said. A cause of death has not been released, but the matter is being investigated as a routine death, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
Police say D4vd, who is known for his viral songs like Here With Me and Romantic Homicide, is not currently considered a suspect, and he is said to be fully cooperating with the investigation. The singer's representative told
NBC4 that he is cooperating with the authorities as they carry out the investigation.
"D4vd has been informed about what's happened. And, although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities," a spokesperson for the singer said. The LAPD told The Mirror US in a statement, "On September 17, 2025, detectives from the Robbery-Homicide Division served a search warrant on the 1300 block of Doheny Place in connection with the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Several items of evidence were recovered and will be analyzed by detectives in the coming days. This is an ongoing investigation. Investigators are following up on several leads. Once additional information is available to share with the public, it will be released by the Media Relations Division. If anyone has any information about this investigation, they are urged to contact Robbery-Homicide Division (213) 486-6890 or LA Crime Stoppers at (213) 484-6700."
In a previous statement to The Mirror US, LAPD said, "On 9/8/25 around 12:20 pm, officers responded to the 1000 block of Mansfield Avenue for a foul odor coming from a vehicle at a tow yard. Detectives responded and located possible human remains. It is currently a death investigation."
"We know that we have human remains and we know they were contained within a vehicle," Chief of Detectives for the LAPD Alan Hamilton previously shared. He continued, "We are going to continue the investigation, and when a determination is made that potentially there was a homicide, then it will transition into a homicide investigation."
D4vd had been scheduled to perform on Wednesday night at the Showbox SoDo, but the show didn't go ahead as planned. According to
TMZ, D4vd is pausing his world tour following the identification of the victim. The singer's tour is set to conclude on September 20 at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles
