TN ADRIANNA & JENNIFER WIX: Missing from Cross Plains, TN - 25 March 2004 - Age 2 & 21

Adrianna and her mother, Jennifer Wix, were seen together between 9:00 and 9:30 p.m. on March 25, 2004. Jennifer's live-in boyfriend, William Benton, initially stated Jennifer and Adrianna left home with an unknown individual.

He later altered his story and said he and Jennifer had an argument and he dropped her and Adrianna off at an Exxon gas station near Exit 112 off Interstate 65 in Cross Plains, Tennessee. After five to ten minutes, Adrianna and Jennifer got into a white four-door early 1990's model mid-size car, at a gas station near Exit 112 off Interstate 65 in Cross Plains, Tennessee.

Benton stated Jennifer went to their home, without Adrianna, the next afternoon. She was driving the car she'd gotten into the previous day. She asked for her income tax return but her boyfriend's parents were not at home to give her the money so she left and said she would come back for it. She never did.

Jennifer and Adrianna have never been heard from again. Neither of them had any personal items, money, or extra clothes when they disappeared.

Jennifer and Adrianna may still be in the Cross Plains area, or they may have traveled to Florida. They are believed to be in danger, as it is uncharacteristic of Jennifer to be out of touch with her family.

OLD MAN BENTON IS DEAD! He was released from jail in March and they found him in a creek in July and he was finally identified. I guess he didn’t show up to court and that’s all I know. But now he’s dead. So will people speak up now? Now that supposedly everybody was so afraid of him? Way way back when there used to be a software chat group called Topix and I chatted with him on there. He was such a nasty person. 100% liar.

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn (WTVF) — DNA testing has confirmed that human remains discovered in Springfield's Sulphur Fork Creek on July 4 belong to 68-year-old Joseph Frank Benton Sr., a man who was on Robertson County's most-wanted list.

The shocking discovery of a human leg in the creek has now been linked to Benton, who wasn't a stranger to law enforcement. He was already wanted on charges of sexual exploitation of a minor after his property was raided by law enforcement in rural Springfield.

Authorities from local, state and federal offices searched his Owens Chapel Road property on March 27, 2024. According to court documents, Benton possessed a 20-year-old photograph in electronic form that shows a minor engaged in sexual activity.

What they think he cut his leg off and left it to decompose while he is in hiding somewhere? It's a bit far fetched and a one legged man would be easier to find, if he is still alive. With the allegations against him, I wouldn't be surprised either way but it's definitely not actual proof of death to me. Likely dead, but not definitely.

It is true that there have been many cases of shoes washing up with feet. The feet become dislodged at the ankle with decomposition. . IDK What case you are referring to unfortunately.

It was in some other country, drawing a blank at the moment. She was about to be arrested under major investigation. Defrauded her friends, others with fake investments, was in trouble for tax evasion, more, all on a huge scale. Most assume suicide, I just can't assume that.

Kathy reminded me that Joe’s wife had a restraining order against him. So when he was released from jail, he couldn’t go home. There was a warrant out for his arrest. This must be why they didn’t have a missing person‘s report on him. I’m curious to know when he was last seen? Was he released from jail and then he went out and committed suicide? There’s not enough information to guess.

LE on the ball would have arrested him on the courthouse steps on release if there was a current warrant on him.
