Parking this here until proven it wasn't an actual crime

So one of the crowd pulled the driver out and someone else ran forward and shot him. Sounds like the driver was thrown out earlier and came back in his car as revenge. What a nightmare.

ETA shot him in the buttocks so he was taken to hospital and probably jail afterwards

Appeals court orders new trial for man convicted in 1979 Etan Patz case

The man convicted in the 1979 killing of 6-year-old Etan Patz was awarded a new trial Monday as a federal appeals court overturned the guilty verdict in one of the nation’s most notorious missing child cases.

Pedro Hernandez has been serving 25 years to life in prison since his 2017 conviction. He had been arrested in 2012 after a decades-long, haunting search for answers in Etan’s disappearance, which happened on the first day he was allowed to walk alone to his school bus stop in New York City.

The appeals court said the trial judge gave a “clearly wrong” and “manifestly prejudicial” response to a jury note during Hernandez's 2017 trial — his second. His first trial ended in a jury deadlock in 2015. His lawyers said he was innocent.

The court ordered Hernandez’s release unless the 64-year-old gets a new trial within “a reasonable period.”

I saw this on X earlier and I just couldn’t believe it. I still can’t.

Well done on the girl and father responsible for outing this POS.

"The case began when a 14-year-old girl on one of Thompson’s flights to Boston discovered a cellphone taped to the lid of a lavatory toilet in September 2023. Authorities later alleged that Thompson had filmed at least four other girls — between the ages of 7 and 14 — using airplane bathrooms over a nine-month span in 2023."

"
American Airlines previously apologized after the company's "outside counsel" appeared to blame one of the victims in a prior court filing, evoking outrage from the lawyer representing the victims. The filing said the girl "knew or should have known" that the lavatory "contained a visible and illuminated recording device."

According to a civil lawsuit, the girl took a photo of the phone taped to the toilet seat and showed it to her parents back at their seats. Her father then made a beeline for the plane's flight attendants with the photo and yelled, "What the hell just happened in the first-class bathroom with my daughter?" "

I'm
LOL- just one body found.

One found in one place and another found in another place. It sounds like they were looking for one and found a different one then found the original one they were looking for somewhere else

10 miles away. Don't know if connected. Murders in Cornwall are pretty rare so i would not be surprised if there is some connection though.
