Okay prostitution even worse. I recalled reading she ignored his porn, one of many things that existed she decided to ignore in this I think and probably got it mixed up. I think I did the same with sex workers but think I mentioned. Sorry. I'll try to go change it, not this minute though, just awoke.

Some countries have expermented with legalizing it, not sure it does much except people get arrested less, whic
h definitely does not stop it. Might be right or wrong and it's an assumption but little doubt to me why CB liked Vegas and had a place there either. Sin City. Been there several times. Funny how some really naive ones never seem to notice the underbelly. And there are some that truly do not. Woman more than men, hate saying that, most men know of it. Yeah, it's gamling but hrdly all it is.
Trying to wake up, sorry. Been a rough go lately.
She was said she didn't believe Heuermann patronized prostitutes, well, again, I'm not surprised.
You know, for some people, it takes a long time to process information or to see things clearly and it's hard to see things clearly while in th mist of it.
Remember that case referred to as the "Long Island Lolita"? If so, the victim wife wrote a book called Getting It Through My Thick Skull: Why I Stayed, What I Learned, and What Millions Of People Involved With Sociopaths Need To Know. (The title's as long as the island, lol.)
Bottomline line, it was a considerable amount of time before she realized she'd been married to a sociopath and once realized, her 25 years with him made a lot more sense.

Ooooh maybe she had it. JK. That's what I mean. She just can't be believed imo for the most part. I h

And it was this stuff that she ignored per the article, just denied, refused to accept, etc.

Lots of nuggets in that article. I had the impression she might not drive but she said she picked him up at the station every day and he was always home, home, home. Family man, etc. I had a cheater and his times were during the work day or when I was gone. Means nothing. And they were together long enough, no one can tell me she didn't have clues of at LEAST that much. That isn't denial, that's a total idiot. She plays him off as some knight in shining armor, give me a break.

The part where they knew each other while both married I think worth married again and did it say she was adopted by Icelandic parents? There ARE new nuggets in it.
She questioned whether porn videos found in their home were his and I suppose she could possibly be thinking they were already in the home when she moved in...
Apparently, she wasn't asked what she was thinking.

It seems everything in the house was already there as he grew up there and never moved anywhere else.

It's likely the serial killer book on the table probably wasnt there since his father's time though.

I had to look up Long Island Lolita and that happened in Massepequa Park too. Article date is November 2019.

On May 19, 1992, 17-year-old Amy Fisher drove to Mary Jo and Joey Buttafuoco’s home in Massapequa, N.Y. and shot Mary Jo in the head. The story made headlines around the country, and every new detail was somehow more shocking than the last. Amy Fisher became a household name, known by the media as “the Long Island Lolita.” Although Mary Jo Buttafuoco survived the attack, her life was never the same again.

Now, 27 years later, ABC’s 20/20 is airing a 2-hour special entitled Growing up Buttafuoco that will delve into even more details of that fateful day and the months that followed. The special will feature interviews with Mary Jo and Joey Buttafuoco, as well as with their daughter Jessie. While we can’t wait to watch the special and learn more from the Buttafuoco family, we also wondered: Where is Amy Fisher now?

First, a quick recap of the day Amy Fisher shot Mary Jo Buttafuoco.

Mary Jo Buttafuoco had no idea who Fisher was when the teen arrived on her doorstep. When Mary Jo Buttafuoco answered the door, Fisher began telling her that Joey Buttafuoco — Mary Jo’s husband — had been having an affair with Amy’s younger sister. Fisher produced a T-shirt advertising Joey Buttafuoco's body shop as proof. Except... Fisher didn’t have a younger sister. In fact, Fisher was the one who was having an illicit relationship with 35-year-old Joey Buttafuoco.

Fisher had fallen in love with Joey Buttafuoco after meeting him at his body shop and she grew increasingly jealous of his wife. So, she decided to kill her.
After spending about 15 minutes talking to Fisher, Mary Jo Buttafuoco finally told her to leave. Fisher then took out a gun, struck Mary Jo Buttafuoco in the head with it, and shot her in the temple. Incredibly, doctors were able to save Mary Jo Buttafuoco's life, although they could not remove the bullet from her head, and it is still there to this day.

After the shooting, Amy Fisher spent seven years in prison.

Fisher was initially charged with first-degree attempted murder but ultimately pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated assault. Joey Buttafuoco also went to jail for four months after pleading guilty to one count of statutory rape. After Joey Buttafuoco was released, he and Mary Jo Buttafuoco moved to California with their daughter Jessie. They remained married until 2003, when Mary Jo Buttafuoco filed for divorce.

Where is Amy Fisher now?

After her release from prison, Fisher became a columnist for the Long Island Press. She also co-wrote two memoirs entitled If I Knew Then… and Amy Fisher: My Story. Fisher married Louis Bellara in 2003, and together they had three children before eventually getting divorced in 2015. Fisher also spent some time as an adult film star, though in 2011, she announced she would no longer be making films.
In a 2017 interview with the New York Post, Fisher revealed that after living in Florida for years, she had moved back to Long Island and was living in a home located less than an hour’s drive from where she shot Mary Jo Buttafuoco.

“My kids were ostracized in Florida,” Fisher said. “They had no friends. All the mothers thought their kids would get the Amy Fisher gene if they hung out with them [...] Things got so bad for my son, the school psychologist even suggested he drop out and get his GED.”
In another article from 2017, the New York Post reported that Fisher was filming “online peep shows” from her Long Island home. She reportedly said about her cam girl career, “This is what I have to do to make money.”
20/20: Growing up Buttafuoco airs Friday, Nov. 8 at 9/8c on ABC.

I am not going to deny it is hard to see things when in the midst of them. You may see them but life keeps going on, the person keeps lying, there may be kids to take are of, a job to go to and so on and it does often take distance and getting out to see it. I am just not sure I believe that or see that with Asa. She moved pretty lightning speed to protect all, now has profited majorly and more. After a very short time of woe is me, she picked herself right up no problem I'm going to withhold judgement on that one but I guess it's possible but then the daughter seems to get the possibility more, and many or most of us would have a really hard time seeing this in our father. Asa seems to come up with things that will keep the cameras going and the pay comingi in, imo.

Yes I remember that case VERY well. The hub was a flat out creep. The wife did forgive Amy at a point. I'll not name the wife out of respect. Won't say more on the shooter's name either. My GOd she was a kid when he started with her. She maybe did not totally act like one but she was. A pager and in high school so he could reach her. She seems to have worked hard to have a normal life after all of it, seen her a couple of times she came out to show that on TV.

Imo he should hae done a ton of time.

Not sure if I knew of the book, I may have but not the name maybe. I think all have moved on, long time ago now, but I bet he is still a creep.

I'm not sure as I said I see Asa like that.

I have lived it so I do get you but can also say in the relationship sometimes you darned well do start to see things especially over enough time and they were together a long time. Totally different, no SK, but I was doing things like getting home unexpectedly and some various things to see what the heck mine was up to and let me tell you, that threw him off his game. Just an example. Hardly the same but anyhow I just don't see her like that.

He was arrested in 2023, she should have a lot of hindsight by now if so.

Yeah, I'd rmembered that the house was cluttered...
I'm still thinking it could be that way with the belt, I mean that it was in the home pre-marriage.

She questioned whether porn videos found in their home were his and I suppose she could possibly be thinking they were already in the home when she moved in...
Apparently, she wasn't asked what she was thinking.
Okay. She ignores that, things on his device including more porn, hairs of her own found on sex workers, as well as her daughter's... Yah.

Not buying it.

Was a big case here back when, very well know, very sensationalized. I'm not diving back into it as I know it well most of us do.
It does seem some in the area are really into the sex scene but Amy was 15 or 16 and carried a pager.

Just for me I'm not going to sidetrack into it as I don't see Asa as anything like Mary Jo.

I think Mom was there till at least mid 90's. Didn't one of the victims have a woman's hair on her that was from someone (Mom, sister, first wife?) living in the house?

Also mid 90's we already had computers and the first mobile/cell phones.

Yes, there was some gf or some such who lived with him. They have been vague about who and so on, wasn't mom or sister, pretty certain. Pretty sure with what was said not first wife either.

Since now we know CB and Mrs. knew each other when they were married to other people, that ONE has been interesting.

At this point, I just do not buy that she is in denial. It has been two years and she knows about the ton of evidence as much of the rest of us, possibly more. Every move she makes imo is for herself.

Also her ever getting out of squalor would have taken this and imo she will end up with more squalor one day. And it is WRONG this money or at least half isn't being held. For victim families.

I see no comparison at all with this and some other cases.

Let's recall too both of them I believe used to sue people over I think even minor car accidents to get money. He didn't seem to provide to well the way that house looked either, but I guess all money went to hookers and other indulgences.

As we know, Heuermann has been charged with the murder of seven victims so far. I have made this new list that has his victims and the unsolved ones too.

RH victims are in bold and the others listed are sadly still unsolved

I'm not comparing the individuals, just the circumstance where the wife believed she knew her husband well but ultimately realized she hadn't known him well enough.
Same thing in the Delphi case, too, you know, the wife wouldn't believe the husband even when he told her he did it.

Oh, I know what the point was, and I get it. I'm just saying some may not know the case and I for one am not going to go look at it, others may though.

I agree on here and on Delph too, and can think of others as well where I think the woman is in denial or hard to understand so I did get the point. A few men too actually.

Hard to say, but I'm just not seeing that here with Asa. Seems every move she makes and so on, she knows exactly what she's doing and has a purpose. I just don't see her the same as the wife in the Lolita case for instance. That one where the dad killed the three girls (newer on) and the mother is blaming others and making excuses for him sickens me to no end. Yeah there are many.

Then Asa plans on moving out of state, that's real love all right. Remains to be seen if that happens though. Away from her lawyer and cameras and money??

It's just my opinion and I guess is a wait and see. I don't think she's clueless at this point. She's been not with him on the outside for two years.

"Real" love? There's no doubt in my mind that Asa loves her husband, same as Mary Jo and Allen's wife also loved their husbands.

There's plenty of marriages that become an arrangement so I don't assume that at all. And many a woman stays for the kids for instance. And because of family ties and more. I've done it and I know many that have. I can name so many I knew in my life that no one here would know of course that put up with cheating arsehole hubs for instance that stuck it out for the kids and once that last child was out the door, they were done and figured it was their turn and the hubs were devastated as they'd put up with it for so many years. Not the same thing as these cases at all but n o, I'm not going to assume that. I've known people who had separate bedrooms most of their marriage and again, a kind of agreement.

Not saying you can't believe it of course, but I have no reason to assume that. And I dont. CB an RA had exactly one kid. Not saying that says anything, perhaps that was decided but nope, I am ruling nothing out. And Asa is protecting assets and collecting.

So as we usually are capable of doing, I respectfully disagree here. And I think KA (RA) was probably more like a mother figure. And in extreme denial possibly. I don't necessarily call that love. More like some need of their own.

Its clear to me she sees him as her saviour and protector, and innocent unless proven guilty so her attitude is understandable. As pointed out we have seen it in other cases too.

I don't know. She's been wearing the pants now for two years and if anything, he is dependent on her. I mean even the daughter seems to be getting a clue.

I'm not convinced. Another wait and see I guess.
