Amber Alert issued for pregnant teenager suspected to be with 40-year-old man

An Amber Alert has been issued for a pregnant teenager who is believed to be with a 40-year-old man.

Sophia Franklin, 16, was last seen Sunday night at her home in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. She is three months pregnant.

Authorities believe she is with 40-year-old Gary F. Day, who is the father of Sophia’s unborn child. He was last seen at Sophia’s home Monday morning.

Day and Sophia have a no-contact order.

They are believed to be traveling in a 2014 model black Buick LaCrosse with Arkansas license plate BBR 20L.

Well, did you try it? Lol. I have to be bothered going to work. Ugh.

PS I love my job. I'm just having to go to Kentucky today and watch for flooded roads. Great fun.
No, I've actually been cleaning, I sat down for a minute read a post or two and searched and posted then went and swept lol. I actually feel some better two days after chiro which I hoped for. Not perfect by a long shot but a lot better than it was. Sorry. I also have to look back and get his name plus you said you couldn't find free records so thought you might have already tried it and it not worked and was waiting to hear first if you had previously.

I will in a little bit. Cats waiting for their water, just washed their bowl.

Sorry you are having to work.

Oof! Nearly the entire state is in sime kind of flood advisory. Be careful!

NOT liking their site. Tried a few things now. I like ours a lot better. So far no luck but haven't figured out how to even get to the search part. Now it wants the county, and not even sure if that will work, ours is a statewide search, etc. and we can also narrow by county, all of it a lot simpler. I'm assuming it's county court. I'm trying but I don't use most court sites ever, I am used to ours though. I can check WI's easily enough though. Will go back and try again in a bit.

Entered the county, the last name, still no luck. Something at the bottom says they are offline at this time.

NOT impressed with the site. I search and it brings me back to the previous page. At first I was entering his full name and then realized it said last name so thought that was the problem, went back and got the county because next it wanted that. I thought the thing on the bottom might be my computer and not the site offline, not sure. Maybe it's just me but I can't get it so far. It seems to proess but just never get anywhere. If anyone else wants to try, county is Sarpy. Name Gary Day but where I am trying it only wants the last name. Takes awhile to even find the right area or at least it did for me. I will link it. Not even sure I am in the right area. NOT liking their site.

Someone else may have better luck, I'm used to ours and rarely have been on ones of other states. It is set up way different.

"When law enforcement made contact with the defendant, he provided several fake names," a Nebraska prosecutor said in court Friday.
That false report is one of the misdemeanor charges he faces in Omaha. Investigators said a deputy at the truck stop used a portable fingerprint machine to determine Day's true identity.
"Sure enough, it popped up that it was him. So immediately, he has several warrants through several states, and they're all felony warrants," Sarpy County Sheriff Greg London said.

A portable fingerprint machine, going to be honest and say that's a new one to me but not surprised, I mean by this day and age one would think there'd be such a thing, however, wouldn't mean all would have them but I didn't even now they existed honestly.

I actually wonder if she gave the trucker her real name, and LE, whereas he didn't... If she did, it may indicate she wanted to get away just needed the opportunity, hard to say.

Warrants in several states.

Mom saying go away for life--I'm not sure if in today's world whether that will happen or not but I hope he does too, and I think more charges will even be coming. Already seening other states. They are going to share a kid otherwise, whether they are together or not.

I tried like heck with Nebraska court system earlier but they are saying here that they are sorting out various states and what first and he is fighting extradition. He ain't trying to get back near her but I'm sure only because his charges are worse in WI, etc.

Federal hold usually means that federal charges (like kidnapping) are forth coming and therefore no bail at all feds will be taking custody of him at some point

I was pretty sure he was going to be arrested federally since he took a minor across state lines without the parental consent.

Have you found anything besides that? It looks like they're at least holding him on no bond now.
I trust and suspect he is not going to have a chance of getting out on bond. I think when we saw like the $5K bond they were just doing the fast initial thing and if he had bonded by then they would have slapped something else on him, etc. and the fed hold came down. Now we are hearing of other states. I think it was a scramble but they did it, multiple LE agencies and areas, etc. We aren't hearing it all but they all had to get a hold of the other, they were found, and scramble for lack of a better word. I also think he is going away (and hope) for a very long time and will have so many charges from various states if she wanted to be with him it would only be prison visits...

I also think there will be more coming. Every state they traveled through for instance with a minor to ID for instance if they can find evidence of them coming through could charge. Not sure how far they will go with all of it but it is public, it's had some condemnation on his previous things that he wasn't in longer and they are going to make sure it's a long time he is in imo.

Sad as it is, public scrutiny and upset will make people in positions pay attention and it is one of the reasons I believe in all being public, what can be anyhow. Good or bad, we all have the internet now and can go on about why was this one or that one not in prison for his last crime, or why did he get just a slap on the wrist.

Nothing ever happens or changes unless people come together then they get worried about it... Talking generally not about all. I am sure there are people in agencies and offices that are good and want it different but they can't do it either.

Before I go on a sidetrack, I will leave it at that. I actually am trusting that this "man" is not getting out anytime soon.
