ONGOING CRIME BREAKING NEWS!

Starting in January 2020, this thread is about the news as it breaks!

Bernard Madoff says he is dying and is asking a judge for compassionate release from prison, where he is serving 150 years for orchestrating the largest Ponzi scheme in history, according to a Wednesday federal court filing.

Madoff, 81, has terminal kidney failure and a life expectancy of less than 18 months. When the court sentenced him, “it was clear that Madoff’s 150-year prison sentence was symbolic for three reasons: retribution, deterrence, and for the victims,” the court filing states. “This Court must now consider whether keeping Madoff incarcerated … is truly in furtherance of statutory sentencing goals and our society’s value and understanding of compassion.”

Madoff said in the request for compassionate release that he “does not dispute the severity of his crimes.”

IMO- stay in jail

I watched a documentary on "Netflix" called "Crime Scene: The Times Square Killer". It's about him. He was also known as "The Torso Killer". On the last episode it was mentioned that he was thought to he responsible for these murders. Eventhough the victim pool didn’t match. The women he preyed upon in "Times Square" Were sex workers. The earliest ones were not. IMO the reason he changed his type of victims to "Times Square" Victims is easy access and would blend in to the crowd and scum of what "Times Square" was at that time. He is a real sicko.

No real idea which news thread this belongs in.

That is one of the strangest things I have ever heard. And creepy. IDK WTH The story could be here. Oh yeah! That's Henry's heart. I'd recognize it anywhere. I think "The Tin Man" Was looking for that.

I just checked Netflix and the documentary isn't on there.
Yes it is. It's Called "Crime Scene:The Times Square" Killer. He has also been referred to as the "Torso Killer". I thought it was good. There are other episodes in the "Crime Scene documentaries" on Netflix. So find it. It's there!
