Canada JUSTIN EVANS: Missing from Kilworthy, Ontario, Canada - 12 December 2020 - Age 22 *Found Deceased* (1 Viewer)

The family of a young man who has been missing for more than a month is pleading for information about his suspicious disappearance.

Justin Evans, 22, has been missing from his Kilworthy home, just south of Gravenhurst, since Dec. 12. His roommate at Muskoka Falls Camp and Trailer Park reported him missing two days later, said Evans’s stepfather, James Bolton.

It’s out of character for Evans to take off for long periods of time without contacting family, he said.

“He’d always let people know what he was doing,” he said. “We never expected anything was wrong until we got a call from his roommate’s mom, asking if we’d seen him.”

Family members showed up at Evans’s home to find it had been cordoned off with police tape.

The OPP Criminal Investigation Branch is overseeing the case with the assistance of Bracebridge OPP, the Muskoka Crime Unit and OPP Forensic Identification Services.

“Foul play has not been ruled out and it is considered criminally suspicious,” said OPP Det.-Insp. Matt Watson.

Evans loved the outdoors, said Bolton, who often went fishing with his stepson. Bolton even checked some of their favourite fishing spots, but couldn’t find anything.

The family has received an outpouring of support, much of it through the Bring Justin Evans Home Facebook group.

“It’s fantastic that there are so many people who are looking out for him,” Bolton said.

He described Evans as “fun to be around.” He enjoyed hanging out with his young cousins and “was always a joker.”

Evans’s disappearance “is still an active investigation and we continue to follow up on all leads,” Watson said, noting the search efforts have included aviation, canine and analytical services as well as the Emergency Response Team.

“We remain very concerned for Justin and his family is desperate to learn of his whereabouts,” Watson said. “I’m urging anyone with information, no matter how insignificant they may think it is, to contact (Bracebridge) OPP. If they wish to remain anonymous, then please call Crime Stoppers.”

Bolton echoed that plea.

“Something bad happened and we just want to find out what happened,” he said. “Come forward if you do know something.”

He said the family is “fearing the worst” and, while hoping for the best, they want closure.

“He may not come home safe, but we can put him to rest,” he said.

Evans is described as being six-foot-three, with a slim build, brown hair, blue eyes and no facial hair. He was last seen wearing a grey winter coat, blue jeans and camo boots.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS). Information can also be submitted at www.crimestopperssdm.com.

I watched the clip last night just before bed. I didn’t get home until after seven! I was hungry.

Back to the clip, this is exactly what I thought Linda was going to be reporting. There were no surprises. I have to wonder if maybe LE is keeping suspensions under their vest? I hope so because it just doesn’t make sense.
I can only hope it is a tactic because otherwise no one, especially the family, should tolerate this without answers to things that no sense. Even then, if a tactic, I don't agree with putting the family through it, thinking they have basically said it is not a homicide.

Same here! Linda mentioned too that they dismissed Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell's deaths as being suspicious, but came around eventually.

A new one by Linda. About 1/2 an hour. I will just say this Bud and Kiara are some messed up sick individuals. Imo.

I watched it last night. Whether they were involved in Justin’s death or not, I agree with you! They have absolutely no sympathy for Justin or his family. None.

I watched the above late last night. I wasn't clear, was the letter writer anonymous? I mean I know they are to us understandably but was it anonymous to Linda or does she know who it came from? I watched it all but didn't catch that if she said.

Quite interesting no doubt about the grandpa... And quite believable but I'd like to think there is sound basis with who sent the letter--that of course they would know this to be fact of course.

I watched this the other night too when it came up on my feed. Yes, she stated that the letter was from anonymous. I believe she received it anonymously but whether or not she figured out who sent it in the long run, I don’t know.

It was very interesting to hear about this guy’s history, if it’s true. I hope the information was passed onto law enforcement. I’m assuming it was.

It was interesting and I felt not hard to believe but knowing it is anonymous really takes the wind out of it imo. Of course it wouldn't hold any weight and in fact if the letter writer hides, then it could be anyone just wanting to cause trouble or even someone upset over Justin's death wanting to hurt them or get some type of justice.

The other thing it could indicate of course is fear, they can't come forward because there is that much danger and people high up could be very corrupt and upset if they were ratted on and that includes the ones in LE providing the info...

I wish Linda at least could say it was a persona and source that has been talking to her that she agreed not to name but believes (if in fact these things are the case), that would give it more credibility to me.

The funny thing is I think throughout this case, I had heard previously of Ken being some type of sergeant at arms, etc. and hints of this life but I can't recall if Linda said she'd heard that or such a rumor or if it was in comments or chat from someone, etc...

I'll say this, I don't think it in many cases, but this case is one where more than the rest there seems to likely be cover up, sweeping it under the rug, corruption.

Calling it a suicide and the things that don't make sense and unanswered questions reek to me. It doesn't sound as if Justin's family has been treated well. Linda has said many times that Kiara seemed to know things prior to everyone else and they talk of family connections in LE. If it wasn't coming from LInda, I'd maybe have more doubts or think it was for views and sensationalism, but as we know, she is pretty fair and responsible with cases and the covering of them. She thinks this one is suspicious and I think most agree. I know I do.

This is so disturbing. What is going on in this case? Why would a victims' family be treated like this? Why did they say they searched the swamp, then didn't, etc. So much more... This PD has a lot of 'splaining to do but it seems they think they don't...? What a load of BS. This is Canada but we see it too but some are just atrocious and outright seriously questionable as to what is really going on here? Who is being protected? And WHY? Do they think this is just going to go away?

I’m so glad they have Linda as an advocate! If they didn’t, they would just be brushed off I’m sure.

It's a good one. I highly recommend it for all if they can squeeze in the time and have followed the case at all. I really didn't have the time and should have been in bed but needed to watch a little something and take the mind for at least a moment or two off other things.

It is good they have Linda. This case seems blatantly and intentionally mishandled or something... Incompetence in the beginning is one thing (not sure it was that though) but not looking at things as it goes on is inexcusable. How they seem to be treating the victim's family is inexcusable. It seems like one big coverup and the protecting of someone... Or many someones...

It reminds me of the incompetence of the Jennifer and Adrianna Wix case. The detective thought they ran away. They did nothing..

It sure happens here and there and it is maddening. I think sometimes they just want to close cases for the books and they also just don't want to do the work. And they of course don't want their areas to have murder statistics, much less high ones, and worse yet, unsolved murders.

Some seem more than that though, yah. I couldn't help listen to this last night and think about the one just looked at here again recently, the boy in the gym mat. The handling of each of these to me just stands out as far from the best and even worse, downright seriously questionable.

The Wix case sounds familiar, I'm sure I've seen it on occasion but am not overly familiar with it.

I know Jenn’s mom.

Linda about this case at 5:50 into this video. Justin's mom was in a recent article she says. Mom says case is in limbo. Cops say case is labeled unascertained because coroner and pathologist didn't agree and this is why case couldn't be closed but if new evidence comes to light then they will investigate fully! Linda also touches on the lies and B.S. in this case, etc. She is thinking of doing a video about was Justin moved... Justin's phone disappeared off the planet, things are covered up, etc.

With no car, No phone, No money. Everything screams Joey killed them. And if the mother knew it she would have covered for him. His dropping her off for a phone call. Nope. The Exxon. Nope. Joey couldn't give her, Her money because his parents weren't home. Smh.
