Missing 12-year-old in Upstate has been found, deputies say

FBI called in to help find missing 12-year-old Maddison Reynolds​

Authorities have released a sketch of a person of interest in the case of a missing 12-year-old in Laurens County.

Deputies say Maddison Reynolds ran away at about 3:30 a.m. Monday from an address on Abercrombie Road in Fountain Inn.

The FBI joined the investigation on Tuesday and a sketch of a person of interest was released.

"We would like to stress the importance of this to her peers, friends, and their parents," a news release from the Laurens County Sheriff's Department said. "If you have any information about where Maddison is, please call the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office at 864-984-4967."

Tuesday night deputies released these pictures of a man they are looking to identify.


WYFF News 4 spoke with Reynolds' sister on Tuesday afternoon and she gave us permission to share her post from Facebook.

In the post, Christin Howard says that Maddison had a concussion about a month ago and is still healing.

Howard said Maddison suffers from memory loss because of the injury.

The post also says Maddison may be with male that the family does not know.

I'm confused on the people involved. Security footage appears to show two different guys. And is the sketch supposed to be of one of them? Cause it doesn't look like either one IMO.

The mustache looks the same or similar and I wonder if the hair is up or in a ponytail in the hat pictures. They do look completely different as to hair color, glasses, etc. My guess is they are trying to give different ideas of how he may look and/or maybe had the sketch done before finding actual pics or footage and after the FBI came in, etc.? One can tell the news is updated as they go because one place it is not known what she was wearing but then they later have a description of what she was wearing, possibly after they found footage...?

I agree, just don't know that she wouldn't try to help him not get in trouble--not that she adult enough or mature enough to know what she is doing.

Yep. Exactly. A 12 yr old brain alot of times thinks they are grown up. But still are immature.
