An AMBER Alert has been issued for a 14-year-old teenage runaway who the Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office is asking the for public’s help in finding her.

Willow Sirmans went missing from her home early Tuesday morning and is believed to have left with Austen Walker, 21.

Willow is three feet tall, weighing 75 pounds, and has strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes. She also has braces.

Walker is 5’9″, weighs 140 pounds, brown hair and green eyes. He also has a tattoo on his left and right arm and a scar on his right arm.

However, a family member told KETK News they believe she may have met up with a man through social media and that Willow told a friend he was coming to get her.

Authorities have been in contact with federal law enforcement and have warned that anyone assisting Willow could face prosecution for harboring a runaway.

Sirmans Was Reported Missing the Day After She Was Believed to Have Left Home With a Friend

Sirmans was last seen around 10 p.m. on May 11, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety, in the 3000 block of VZ County Road 1712 in Grand Saline, Texas.

Sirmans was listed with the Texas Crime Information Center as a runaway at the beginning of the investigation. Deputies said the case “did not meet the criteria to issue an Amber Alert” initially. But now officials say Sirmans could be in “grave or immediate danger.”

Deputies Identified a Married Father, Austen Walker, as a Person of Interest

Investigators began the search by checking homes in Henderson County, where Chandler and Brownsboro are located. Sirmans was not found at any of the addresses deputies had identified. The Van Zandt Sheriff’s department said they had an idea of who Sirmans may have left her home with but deputies could not locate those people, either.

Walker’s relationship with Sirmans is unclear. Walker got married in 2019 and lives in Fruitvale, Texas. In December 2018, Walker shared a photo of the engagement ring and wrote, “Been best friends since age 4 and now it’s a life time. She said yes. I proposed at Christmas!!!” Walker also has a 5-year-old daughter, according to his Facebook page.

Courtney Odum Was Listed as a Person of Interest Because Walker Is Believed to Be Driving Her Vehicle

The Van Zandt Sheriff’s Office says Walker is thought to be driving a white 2012 Toyota Camry. The vehicle has Texas license plate LGH 9294.

Investigators say the vehicle belongs to Courtney Odum, who officials are describing as a second person of interest. Deputies said they believe Odum may be traveling with Walker in the vehicle.

Deputies shared a photo of Odum to social media but did not elaborate on how Odum may be connected to Walker and Sirmans. According to Odum’s Facebook page, she has a baby son. Her most recent post was shared during the evening of March 12, after investigators had begun the search for Sirmans.

Whatever this married father and this owner of the car mother, I doubt it is anything good or they would call in and clear things up.

Thank goodness she is alive and safe!!

I note three distinctly different areas--she left from Texas, was found in Kentucky and Odum was in Missouri.

Arrest affidavit alleges Van Zandt County girl kidnapped to Kentucky for ransom

A Tatum man conspired with three others to kidnap a Van Zandt County girl in order to use her to collect a ransom, according to an arrest affidavit.

KLTV has obtained probable cause affidavits in the arrest of Courtney Michelle Odum, 21, of Tyler, and Kenneth Dewayne Odum, 46, and Ashley Erin Mills, 39, both of Clarkson, Kentucky. They are accused of separate parts in the May kidnapping of a 14-year-old girl with a disability.

According to arrest affidavits, Walker and Courtney Odum lured the girl from her home after the girl indicated she had access to the family safe.

According to an affidavit, the girl’s mother contacted the sheriff’s office on May 12 and said her intellectually disabled daughter was missing. The mother said she last saw her daughter on May 11 and her daughter had packed clothing and taken $2,000 from the mother’s safe.

An affidavit states Walker destroyed his own and the child’s cellphone to prevent the child from calling her parents after they left.

Courtney Odum has been extradited to Van Zandt County Jail, where she is being held on a kidnapping charge and $500,000 bond. Walker had been booked in the Oldham County, Kentucky, Jail until Tuesday. Records show he is now in federal custody and also faces Van Zandt County charges. Kenneth Odum and Mills remain in the Hardin County, Kentucky, Jail and face Van Zandt County charges of engaging in organized criminal activity.
