Killer who stabbed 4 Idaho students to death still at large​

The killer — or killers — who stabbed four University of Idaho students to death remained at large Tuesday, prompting many students to leave the campus in the idyllic small town despite police assurances that there was no imminent risk to the community.

So many students had left the scenic tree-lined campus in Moscow, Idaho, by Tuesday that university officials said a candlelight vigil scheduled for the next day would instead be held after the Thanksgiving break.

The students, all close friends, were found dead in an off-campus rental home around noon on Sunday, and officials said they likely were killed several hours earlier. Latah County Coroner Cathy Mabbutt told the Spokane, Washington-based television station KXLY that her preliminary investigation showed the students were stabbed to death. There is no indication that substance use was involved in the deaths, Mabbutt said.

Yeah. Even if they had kicked him out, that wouldn't guarantee that he left the area or stopped him from harming anyone.
And "uncomfortable interactions" aren't exactly something to report to law enforcement.

Yeah, not sure what i think of it. i don't think the WSU did right ignoring numerous complaints but I see that as very separate from what happened to the students at the U in Moscow.

A bad hypothetical example--a DQ was letting a registered SO buy an ice cream there every other day and because of that a woman was raped 11 miles away by him so DQ gets sued? I mean seriously that's on them? it really isn't any different...

This isn't the same as when a judge lets a violent offender go time after time that has broken the law.

I honestly don't know how they can prevent "creepy" people from being educated.

Yeah, i'm torn but as far as holding them liable for what happened to these students, that is a real reach. i mean he could have been let go, lost his student housing and he may have acted the same or worse even or sooner...?

I think the U not taking action for their own student's and interns and teacher's sake is one thing but I just don't know that that can be tied to liability for totally not in that U out of that area murders.

Most such lawsuits settle in time even if liability is questionable, be interesting to see if the Goncalvez family settle or not...

they did not listen to staff and students about his concerning behavior.

Anyhow, he apparently keeps busy filing formal complaints and reading the handbook or something like that and telling them they aren't following their own guidelines. Says his plate are often missing some of his dinner too, not getting what he ordered and so on.

It just never seems like perps ever think about where they are going to end up stuck when caught. Poor baby.

Anyhow, he apparently keeps busy filing formal complaints and reading the handbook or something like that and telling them they aren't following their own guidelines. Says his plate are often missing some of his dinner too, not getting what he ordered and so on.

It just never seems like perps ever think about where they are going to end up stuck when caught. Poor baby.

Probably it's his OCD causing it and it likely keeps him happy. I like his new name though. We can call him KK now so Emu stops thinking Burger King LOL.

Yep, he has no control over anything and it likely drives him insane, no pun intended.

Don't know that I mentioned it but he also complained of no sleep, the other inmates constantly are threatening him around the clock. He wants a transfer to another prison or at least to "B" block I think was said. Joel said B block is eerily silent (he saw that area) despite the fact the inmates are in their cells. Eerily silent he said. I guess there he'd be able to write in silence lol.

His one sister is talking to a reporter from the Times. I saw a show last night that read through the entire Times article and thought I linked it but for the life of me, I don't recall who it was. NewsNation maybe...? If anyone wants to find the Time article, I am sure they can but this show also has the roommate talking I believe to LE which I don't think I've ever heard before. It comes up near the beginning when they are doing just a quick recap of the case first. Per her, and I imagine it is DM, she was yelling the name of Kaylee, I think or maybe she meant Xana, not sure. While he was still there I take it... So how did he then walk right by her... The account sounds a bit different and it also sounds as if she quite quickly ran down to BF's room whereas I thought it was hours later. There is also some LE footage that shows I believe the living room and it looks not very cllean with red cups around, I'd have to rewatch quickly but wanted to link this one before I forget again.

She was very likely upset and giving a very fast quick version but just a few things I hadn't seen or heard. They have been sending things to people slowly, to those that have requested them so I may have missed a show where they had gotten these videos, I'm guessing it is police bodycam.

Any Melissa, his sister, is talking. Unsure if there will be more accounts or not. I think who I heard last night might have been Banfield. Anyhow, a couple of sows out about the Times article about what his sister said. As however said, print is different than video and she probably was able to set her terms somewhat (that part is my guess).
