Bernard Madoff says he is dying and is asking a judge for compassionate release from prison, where he is serving 150 years for orchestrating the largest Ponzi scheme in history, according to a Wednesday federal court filing.

Madoff, 81, has terminal kidney failure and a life expectancy of less than 18 months. When the court sentenced him, “it was clear that Madoff’s 150-year prison sentence was symbolic for three reasons: retribution, deterrence, and for the victims,” the court filing states. “This Court must now consider whether keeping Madoff incarcerated … is truly in furtherance of statutory sentencing goals and our society’s value and understanding of compassion.”

Madoff said in the request for compassionate release that he “does not dispute the severity of his crimes.”

Boy they kept a stocking hat. Eventually got a partilar male DNA and as time passed, no hits in Coids, as tech and science advanced and genetic genealogy. was used and so on.

This is realy interesting.

Wow they went from one relativ in WY, found to not be the contributor of the DNA, to a first cousin in MI, also found to NOT be the contributor and this exhausted all known male family members in this lineage.

This led to a hypothesis of an adoption in this known family line...

The family or some did not know about this adopted out relative or however it was. took them sme work to figure out, LE.

He is 83, 84 years old now the perp. they say he could have been involved in something prior to when DNA was mandatorily collected. I am betting; he was because I'm sure they know his history by now...

Never saw a pic of him til this one. Both have things that the other doesn't, the coverage. This one is definitely shorter but doesn't cover quite as much. Both quite good though.

So she was a college grad and an honor student tand hitchhiking. Not uncoom in that day.

The one I watched I don't think covered that unless I missed it. They did cover a lot more about the time it took and the number of relatives etc. to get to him.

he confessed but I wonder, as we know how things go, if he will turn around and fight it and go to trial... Maybe not but who knows depending what his D attorneys tell him.

I've known Dunn County to televise trials, I can give you quite the one to watch that has a lot of hints of Jodi Arias, long but interesting if ever bored...

This college has only been doing this for like two years and they do it pro Bono. I thought that was interesting. Thkeky had more from them on the one I linked. But both had some things the other did not.

Maybe I'm not trying hard enough but with a moment I can't find anything on. I don't see much from Nate any longer, just here and there, and ran into this. I diid not now a thing about the case, never hard of it. Nate isn't on, it's simply playing the opening statements and since I was not finding much I watched it. Interesting enough.

I'd say n either the accused perp in the case or the victim were choir boys or so it would seem.

And the D atty tries in his opening and actually doesn't do that bad but I already believe the P, not from bias but from the alleged facts.

I've also ran into today two other cases and trials going on and televised that I've never heard of that seem fairly big. None another "cult" mom supposedly who killed her I think 18 month old child. The 911 call was hard to hear. Not from her, from a friend. Sadly I forget the other one but also fairy major it seems. ALL are eajor, I don't mean they aren't, I'm just surprised I am unaware of them or was.

Anyhow this is now the third today which may not be as known but is also being tried.

if there's one thing I try to figure out in life it is how when you have no time but just can't do another thing so take a minute, you are bored and can't find a conversation or a thing on. Lol. Yet idid and three today I wasn't even aware of in trial I beleive at the moment.

others include the WI man who faked his death, sebastian Rogers, more with short updates then it is Jodi. A few others we are familiar with prior to that.

This one is odd in that his car was last seen entering a toll road but no evidence of him leaving the toll road. It also doesn't look like there are many places there to go off the road without there being evidence of such.

Can't link a pic right now but if you look at the street view of the place he went off the road, the imagery even has evidence that there has been a wreck there previously. The guardrails are crumpled and there is a temporary sign warning of it. Evidently a place not unaccustomed to wrecks.

Ok, the wreck thing doesn't seem plausible to me. Imprezas have all wheel drive and it would be very difficult to go off the road unless it was icy. If he was driving at a ridiculously high speed it could also happen.

However, the phone pings at the airport are really strange. I can't think of a single logical reason to explain why he had been there.

Off the top of my head it seems like someone and an accomplice killed him. Pushed the car down the hill into the water and went to the airport with his phone.

They may have been hoping that the car would submerge and not be found for a long time, and his phone records would make it look like he ran away from his family.

Another possibility is that one or both of the people left at the airport themselves. They were asked to turn off their phones.

I believe there's a heck of a lot more to this story and may need a thread about it.

The airport is next to the area he left the road so his phone pinging there isn't strange and it's also being said that it was very stormy/rainy that night. Also possibly inebriated. His job is selling liquor, so I'd take my chances and say he drinks when he goes out. In the google street view, you can see where there have been multiple accidents in that very spot. He also would have had to get off the turnpike to actually go to the airport, itself, There is no record of him getting off of the turnpike.
