Human remains have been found buried in the backyard of a home where a family went missing under "suspicious circumstances," according to Avondale police.
The news broke after Avondale police began a search for a missing mother, father and their adult son after a welfare check at their Litchfield Park home showed signs of foul play.
Two sets of human remains were discovered inside the home, according to Avondale police.
Police said the case is being investigated as a homicide and detectives believe the adult son, 27-year-old Matthew Flores, fled the country and is considered an alleged suspect.
