Awful. Dysfunction from the start. It just baffles me no one decent interviened, ever!
No. It broke pretty recently. Not sure why it wasn't bigger news until now.
Apparently mom has been trying to get them to locate the child for over a year (initially reported in 2024). Dad kept wriggling out of it and making excuses. Saying he was fine, with other people (the Amish), saying the state took him, etc.
He was finally officially reported missing again last month (not public news that I saw - I think they just considered it a parental kidnapping / custody case), and they just found his remains.

Oh this is another horrible case for a child! I'm glad the child was found and the "father" and his SO have been arrested!
