Not that it has any connection but wasn't Fallon, Nevada just mentioned in the Irion case? Fallon to Stagecoach shows only 30 some miles and Stagecoach is where last seen. It does say they then drove 3 hours to Coalsdale but that is based on their phone pings and not any sighting of them or who may have had the phones although no reason to think it wasn't them...

Does anyone know the terrain from Stagecoach to Coalsdale? I mean I know it is likely desert but are there places they could get lost roadwise, etc. or is it just a major one route type of trip... We also have an RV missing right...? And two people... I'm guessing(?) there are not lakes or hills or mountains...? Just desert...?

Not familiar with the terrain but yes the RV is missing along with the car they are towing behind the RV.

Hmm that's what I thought... So if they simply went off the road or something, it would be pretty noticeable one would think... I imagine a lack of big water areas so that seems unlikely for a rig that big pulling a car...

I'd guess they decided to go or stay elsewhere for a bit but they fell off radar along with both phones, credit/debit cards, etc... It seems...

If someone took them and/or their rig over from them, it could be miles or states away or hidden... And that doesn't bode well...

Missing Indiana couple last seen in Nevada desert, police say

According to the Esmeralda County Sheriff’s Office, 72-year-old Ronnie Barker and 69-year-old Beverly Barker were on road trip on the west coast when they disappeared. Their trip took them from Albany, Oregon to Tucson, Arizona on March 26 to visit friends. Based on cellphone data, the two were near Dyer, Nevada, about 3.5 hours northwest of Las Vegas on March 27.

The ECSO said they may have also visited the Coaldale area on March 28, a mining town about 40 miles west of Tonopah, but a family member posted on social media that this account is unsubstantiated.

“They went dark the evening of Sunday the 27th,” their nephew, Travis Peters wrote on Facebook.

“After leaving Oregon they were going to stay in the Fallon, NV area however their cell signals/computer tablet signals last ‘pinged’ in an area near Dyer, NV which is nearly 170 miles farther south than where they were planning on staying. Their next planned stop was overnighting at Nellis, AFB outside Las Vegas, then they were continuing to meet their friends in Tucson on Tuesday evening,” Peters wrote.

Any large rivers, lakes, etc. on their route? I have a hard time believing nobody has seen an RV abandoned for a week!
Also very possible they took a faulty GPS route and ended up on some remote dirt road unable to turn around...
I asked the same. In my mind since it is Nevada I picture desert and not much water. However, AZ has mountains and lakes, rivers, hills and deserts so maybe parts of Nevada do too...? I should look. I've only been to Vegas as far as Nevada and it is desert.

That is what I was thinking, but they had a car also so if that was the only reason, they should have been able to use it to get help.

Should have been done days ago...

NHP issues Silver Alert for missing Indiana couple

The Nevada Highway Patrol has issued a Silver Alert for an Indiana couple that disappeared while traveling through Nevada.

The statewide missing persons alert was issued for Ron Barker, 72, and and Beverly Barker, 69, by the NHP Northern Command. Their last known locations were in either Coledale or Dyer, Nevada, on March 27 at 10:16 p.m.

The couple is traveling in a 2015 Forest River Sunseeker Class C motorhome with Indiana tag C128H. They were towing a 2020 Kia Soul LX.

The NHP asked that anyone with information call 775-687-0400 or your local police department. The Barker family has also set up an email tip line at findronandbev@gmail.com.

I'm trying to dig through the archives in my brain because I haven't been to that region in decades. At first I was thinking Lake Lahontan because that's a popular camping/recreation area where it would be easy to park an RV. But then they pinged near Dyer? That's over 200 miles away.

If the rig went straight to Dyer from Stagecoach, they would have gone by bodies of water, but none of them are near the highway, IIRC. That rig is not small AND they were towing a Soul on top of it all! So, if they went over the side of the road, I would think they would be scene. Even the areas with trees aren't too dense, not like in the northwest, anyway.

I'm starting to wonder if they weren't carjacked or something?

Dyer is so small that I didn't even know about it before, and I have been to that area! It looks like the road there leads to nowhere, too. How odd!

So the last pings were fairly late at night and I'm sure dark (if outside of a town), 10:16 p.m. Both phones are unlikely to have both just went dead at that time... Anything I think of like lost in the dark etc. isn't going to turn both phones off... I can't think of anything that would case that other than foul play or if they intentionally wanted to disappear which seems highly unlikely for a couple of this age with family and friends they were visiting en route and then the rig and car disappear as well...? If they went deep into water (if there is any) would phones stop pinging immediately...?

The only other thought is if they are out of the range of any service but still wouldn't there be intermittent or occasional pings...? I'm not up on that tech stuff but it just still seems someone would see the rig, as stated if broken down they could use the car they were towing, etc. Even a crash doesn't explain it... They could both have died or be injured but their phones would still ping...

It sure seems it must be foul play...

I was typing a similar post as you posted this as to I feel this must be foul play too...
