The Wexford County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate the disappearance of 22-year-old Rebecca Park, who is reported missing and possibly endangered.

Park, who is approximately 38 weeks pregnant, was last seen willingly getting into the passenger side of a dark-colored vehicle on Monday night around 11:30 p.m. outside a relative's home on South 21 1/2 Road.

She had arranged to be picked up but did not disclose to the witness who would be picking her up, the sheriffs office said.

Deputies said her cellphone was later discovered on a two-track near the location where she was last seen.

Yes. Agree. But even those terms have confused people. When it was said her sister and her fiance were arrested, I think many took it as that meant' the sister's fiance... News got that wrong I think too, at least some did. But then add in that mom and sister were also screwing around with him allegedly, who knows whose fiance he is LOL, or at least that makes it more confusing, very confusing.

Well, I know of only one fiance among this bunch and so when they say fiance, I know who they mean.

(NewsNation) — According to an affidavit, police say the mother of Michigan woman Rebecca Park, who was killed while pregnant, told them Rebecca’s stepfather confessed the day after her mutilated body was found.

Park was 22 years old and 38 weeks pregnant when she disappeared Nov. 3. She was found Nov. 25 in a Michigan national forest, stabbed to death with her baby cut out of her body. Prosecutors say the baby is dead, but we still don’t know where it is.

Allegedly, Cortney Bartholomew, Rebecca’s biological mom, claimed Rebecca’s stepdad, Bradly Bartholomew, slit her throat, and when Cortney asked what happened to the baby, he said he put it in a cooler, and then in a trash bag, and threw it in the trash.

When Bradly spoke to police, he allegedly said Cortney stabbed Rebecca, ripped out her baby, and threw it away in a cooler. He said Cortney had Rebecca lie down in the woods while she was still alive, and cut the baby out of her, supposedly because she wanted it for herself.

The only murder charge filed so far is for Rebecca’s murder, not the unborn baby. Both Cortney and Bradly were charged with first-degree murder and torture, and accused of ripping her baby out of Rebecca’s womb.

In a separate affidavit, Rebecca’s sister, Kimberly Park, who was charged with lying to police and obstruction, allegedly told police three days before Rebecca was found that Cortney and Brad killed her.


She said they hit Rebecca so hard on the head that she had a seizure and died, and was carted away. Three days later, Kimberly told police that her dead sister’s fiancé, Richard Falor, confessed that he killed Rebecca.

Falor is facing drug charges unrelated to murder. Before he was engaged to Rebecca, Falor dated Kimberly, as well as Cortney. For most of Rebecca’s life, Cortney was absent, with the pair reconnecting in recent years.

On the same day she accused Cortney and Bradly, Kimberly spoke to podcaster Stephanie Pratt, of “Steph’s Case Files.”

“Cortney told me, if I’d say absolutely anything, me and my daughter are both going down for it. She said it to my face. She said it the day after my sister disappeared,” she told Pratt.


In her affidavit, Kimberly allegedly said she was having an affair with Falor, who previously dated her and Rebecca’s mother.

Yeah, who knows what is true. The thing about him being with mom first seems to be fact. The sister who knows. I think some of that might come from again saying Rebecca's sister andher fiancee which can be taken two different ways...

I thought someone said it was stated in the docs, but maybe it was from an interview and as you say, they lie to lie.

So she claims both dated him (sister and mom).

But they have all lied.

They may have to try for a conspiracy charge here unless they can prove which one killed Rebecca.

I still can't help but wonder if Falor is for sure the father of the baby. I'm not dissing Rebecca but we do have SOs here including Brad. If they all "dated" Falor otherwise, there may have been jealousy over it that extended to the baby in this one. Who the heck knows with this bunch of deranged people. Such a sad and sick case.
 
So info from the affidavit re Kim is that she had-and-still-was having an affair with Falor, which I don't necessarily believe, I mean, I think she could have just said that as to why Falor would tell her such things.
I don't know where the info comes from that Falor dated Kim before Becca.
Also, apparently Kim also told police that Falor's friend had had romantic relationship with both her and Becca because the affidavit states he "confirmed" it.


One last thing, I was under the impression that Falor was arrested for drugs but having re-read the affidavit, I see that he was arrested on an "open murder" charge based on Kim's statements!
Wow, I mean, how outrageous that one could be arrested merely because of something some said!
 
I guess as the baby cannot be found they won't be able to determine who the father was, unless there was blood from the baby from Rebecca's remains.

We could presume the father of the baby was involved in the murder of Rebecca.
 
We may never be able to fathom or understand this. If we are looking for logic to it, or to make sense of it.

Yet I still am trying to fathom it or understand why.

I'm only five minutes into this but the part about the baby being not Richard's but Bradley's is something I've been wondering all along... If true of course. And the thing about jealousy or wanting a baby or both also. The jealousy part rings to me big time. Some mothers ARE jealous of their daughters and some fathers too are jealous of their sons. I've unfortunately seen it in my life. Particularly when they get older and attractive to the opposite sex sadly. It's quite a sick thing.

The fact too that the mom was with Rebecca's bf before Rebecca has always been I think in most people's minds...

I still have to watch the rest but those things immediately rang true. I have wondered if there was some issue of who might be the father of this baby when one considers the bunch of majorly dysfunctional people in this case.

I didn't read the court documents but already I have a feeling this video will tell me a lot about what is in them.. Not sure when I will finish it, will have to watch it in doses.

So Brad was the father of.the baby, she said. Courtney wanted Rebecca's baby. Supposedly Courtney told her daughters that they had £18k each. Told them to come and collect it. Gave them sealed envelopes but not to open them till they got home . There was nothing in the envelopes when they did open them. Courtney had previously wanted Kimberley's baby too.

Only two thirds thru so far. Will watch the rest later.

Ok the rest is info about the toddlers she has in her care and also info about two official fundraisers.

I haven't gotten back to it. Hmm. I had a feeling she didn't get the money. So they both were to receive money? I've wondered that too.

Listened to some more minutes now. She told the girls they were getting $18K?? She said the baby was Richard's. Says Kimberly hadn't seen the bio mom since April and Rebecca hadn't for over a year and couldn't stand them but the money lured them... She doesn't talk too badly of Richard, said didn't like his criminal past but he was always polite and nice around them.

Clearly the girls as teens became probably rebellious, reading between lines here, and even as young adults she would not give them actual money when it could be spent on drugs and such or she knew that's where it would go. I am paraphrasing here.

She had trouble with Courtney it sounds like the girls' entire life from when she first got them even...

Will listen to more later. Just jotting here for anyone who may not know or anyone who reads here in the future, AND for myself to remember :)
 
Finished it. Sounds like she is raising both her and the sister's kids. Quite a load.

She felt Falor loved Rebecca and said nothing bad about him or Kimberly. She did say whoever else was involved, they should pay too in addition to Courtney and Bradley.

A lot about the online stuff and digging and how it will ruin the evidence and the prosecution of the case and that it makes it harder for LE.

Also felt Rebecca was put there not long before she was found and was not there prior and missed.

Sounded to me like two women found her which would not be her dad then.

Some things are a bit vague so unsure.

I think she is choosing her words carefully and fears being taken wrong with the interest in the case, and that she is being careful not to share what she shouldnt' because of the investigation/case.

She thinks Courtney wanted the baby.

Courtney was a problem to them during the kids' entire lives it seems, she said they were basically in hiding from her.

I'd believe her before the other four with their various lies.

I am sure she said Brad was the father but would have to re listen. She said Richard was a decent guy but had some criminal past. (She never said they are all RSO's). She's fostering 3 toddlers that appear to be related to the family because she mentions them growing up and finding out about this terrible murder.

I think Courtney said that. The podcaster I believe was talking of it. Then she had the interview with the adoptive mom and when she asked her who the father was, she said Richard... However, who knows? And if the baby is never found, it probably won't be known UNLESS there was DNA/blood from the baby, etc.
 
The info that Becca and Kim had been estranged from Cortney- the better part of a year, was it?- until Cortney offered them money was not only informative but enlightening, I mean, I hadn't imagined that that had been the scenario.

I really like the adoptive mother! She is the salt of the earth!
