The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office said 4-year-old Rasheed Khalib Mickens was last seen in Baltimore four months ago.

They did not provide a description of what Rasheed was last seen wearing or any additional details.

Anyone with information on Rasheed’s whereabouts should contact police immediately.

UNCONFIRMED. Comments on social media indicate that the father had custody of the child. The father was then incarcerated. And the mom has been trying to locate the child, see if perhaps the father left him with someone, etc. Indications that the mother has been trying extremely hard to find him but due to unknown reasons, the police have not become involved until now.

What??? Just now seeing this. I just don't understand this stuff lately. Four months??? How and why?? I guess it is possible one side does not tell another and there is nothing but acrimony, it does happen... How? But still.... It is pretty hard to fathom... And these kids are so young!

Don't know the details here but it already makes me think of King. Hasn't that gone quiet? So it almost seems like no biggie, he is with stepdad, I don't have to check, stay in touch or say goodnight once in awhile??? Or no big deal, he is with the sitter... Oh I think I'll see him, oh not there, sitter says with mom... Mom says no, what are you talking about??? Do you not keep in touch with your child even if elsewhere??? Honestly, I just don't get it!

Do children at this young age just get passed to whoever with no consistency for the child in any way, shape or form?

I am not judging, have not read the details here and guessing they are not known, just frustrated lately for these children. Poor Olivia the other day, another...

It appears his dad was arrested on July 8 or 9, 2020. He's being held without bond on charges including felon in possession of a firearm, possession with intent to distribute narcotics, and other firearm and drug offenses.

I have been working with a case worker and law enforcement in Baltimore to find my son. I am his mother who has EMERGENCY full custody and his father is currently incarcerated. His father is known to have abusive tendencies, mainly towards women. He has put his hands on me on multiple occasions. I have asked around on Facebook to see if anyone has seen my son and I am under the impression that he is with RJ’s father’s new baby mother. Because of these abusive tendencies and the fact that Rasheed SR. has put his hands on his new baby mother, I am fearful that she may retaliate against my child. I have no idea where my son is, which troubles me because Baltimore City AND County Police claim there is nothing they can do because his father “knows where he is”. His father KIDNAPPED my son and now you mean to tell me that I can’t even file a missing persons report because the father claims to know where my child is. Mind you, Rasheed Mickens Sr (my son’s father) REFUSES to tell police or my case worker where my son is. How do they even know he is telling the truth and knows where my son is located? My son could be in harms way. I have not even heard his voice, I am incredibly distraught! I’d go through hell and back to find my child, but Baltimore police does not seem to give a damn! I have to hire a private investigator to help me in this case, as well as a lawyer. I’m looking for any assistance in doing so. My son, RJ, is a mama’s boy. I know he misses his siblings and family! PLEASE help me in locating my baby. My son is MISSING, but apparently he is not good enough for the legal system in Baltimore!

I am more than a little confused by that. It is hard to tell who is the son, who is the father and is she also talking about a grandfather? I am also hard put with the history to understand why this child seemed to be in his custody to begin with...? Or was he, did the father simply take off with him months back or something?

It seems to me LE should be interested just because they could have another hidden death of a child here? I don't get that they would take his word for knowing where the child is. Evelyn Boswell tried that too. As did Lori Vallow.

Since this is a child I'm disturbed that he is missing. The mother, however, has quite a lengthy 'active' criminal history which gives me pause as to the true priority. Maryland DSS has an open case within the courts (C-18-FM-17-000009).

I hope someone has put this child as a priority.
