Winder was last seen around 3:00 p.m. in the 19000 block of FM 974 in Brazos County, Texas. Shortly after, at approximately 4:00 p.m., her white 2025 Chevy truck with black rims was found on fire in the same area, an incident investigators suspect was arson, according to the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office is urging residents to check security or game camera footage for any sighting of the vehicle between 3:00 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. on the day of her disappearance. Winder is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing around 130 pounds, with green eyes and blond hair. She was last seen wearing a dark grey shirt and pink pants.

Texas authorities are searching for a missing 53-year-old woman they say “may be in danger of death or serious bodily injury.”

The Brazos County Sheriff’s Office said that Nicole “Nikki” Winder was last seen at about 3 p.m. on Wednesday, and her white 2025 Chevy truck was found on fire about an hour later.

County tax records show that the missing woman’s brother, Dustin Winder, owns both properties, which are located just a mile apart.

Dustin was arrested on the morning of Wednesday, April 15, on a warrant for soliciting prostitution, according to jail records. The incident took place on February 17, which was before Winder, 53, went missing on February 25.

The sheriff’s office said that they discovered the evidence amid the investigation into Winder’s disappearance, though the arrest is related to a separate criminal offense.

“During today’s operation, Dustin Winder, a 50-year-old Brazos County resident, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for solicitation of prostitution,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement, per the outlet. “This warrant is based on evidence developed during the course of the investigation but relates to a separate criminal offense and is not connected to Ms. Winder’s disappearance. On Saturday, Coy Winder, the son of the missing Nicole “Nikki” Winder, told KBTX that a recent statement from an attorney “was not made by, nor does it represent, Nikki Winder’s children.”

Winder said statements released Friday by an attorney on behalf of the Winder family “do not speak for [Winder’s sons], our views, or our interests, as we are not under legal counsel.”

The statement goes on to explain that Winder’s sons ask not to be included, referenced, or grouped into any public statements on behalf of other family members or parties.

“Our focus remains on our mother and on seeking truth, clarity, and justice. We appreciate the continued support and ask for respect of our position during this difficult time,” Coy Winder said.

“We want to make a clear and respectful statement regarding the recent message released on behalf of the “Winder family.” That statement was not made by, nor does it represent, Nikki Winder’s children. Any statements made by an attorney referenced in that release do not speak for us, our views, or our interests, as we are not under legal counsel. We respectfully ask that we not be included, referenced, or grouped into any public statements made on behalf of other family members or parties. Our focus remains on our mother and on seeking truth, clarity, and justice. We appreciate the continued support and ask for respect of our position during this difficult time," Coy Winder’s statement read.

His statement follows one made by Bruno A. Shimek, Attorney-at-Law, and private investigator Donnie Manry, who said it was on behalf of “The Winder Family.”

It reads that Winder’s family continues to pray for her safe return and that it has continued to be a difficult time for them, with not only Nikki missing, but a family member under suspicion.

“We firmly believe that no family member is involved in Nikki’s disappearance. Our office has been working with the Winder family since the day after Nikki’s disappearance and have furnished all leads and tips that we have come across to the Brazos County Sheriff’s Department, and we will continue to do so,” the statement said in part.

The attorney released that statement after Winder’s brother, Dustin Winder, was arrested on Wednesday morning on a warrant for soliciting prostitution, according to the Brazos County jail records. Online records show the alleged incident occurred on Feb. 17, a few days before Nikki went missing.
