CAMDEN, MS — On March 1, 2014, two-year-old Myra Lewis disappeared from her own front yard in Madison County.

Ericka Ledger, Myra’s mom, said that as she stepped out to go to the store, she told the toddler to go inside to be with her dad, Gregory Lewis. Tragically, Myra never made it.

Gregory said he’d been caring for the couple’s one-month-old baby at the time. When Myra didn’t come indoors, Gregory said he searched high and low for the toddler, eventually using his ATV and the family’s dogs. Police K9 officers were also bring in to search, to no avail.

From there, police issued an Amber Alert. An intense series of thorough searches produced no evidence of what might have happened. To date, the active Ambert Alert for Myra is the longest running one in Mississippi state history.

A $20,000 reward is being offered to anyone who can find Myra.

Tuesday marks 8 years since Myra Lewis’ disappearance

Myra Lewis, who was two-years-old at the time of her disappearance, went missing from her Mississippi home on March 1, 2014. Eight years have passed since her disappearance, and authorities have not found her.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is offering a $20,000 reward for information about Myra’s location. She would be 10-years-old now.

I wanna know where little Myra is
Start at 1:25 to avoid promotion

Know nothing of this one. Just read what was here on it. And just watched this video which had three cases on it, all of interest really.

I'm not accusing anyone as honestly there doesn't seem to be any information or direction or reason to. Back at the time or in the beginning was there more on it or about it? I mean what is missing is the vetting of the parents and family and further info... The little here says dad was inside with a one month old. At first I thought only Myra was outside and told by mom to go back in with dad when she went to the store. But on reading or seeing something else, it said Myra AND her sister were outside. I take it the sister did go back inside, without Myra? it really doesn't say. Did dad see sister but not Myra? When? How old was sister? How long until dad or sister realized Myra didn't come in with sister? And then in something else it says mom took a brother with her to the store and had heard no mention of him before. Had Myra went out maybe on her own following mom (I have no idea there just is little info) and want to go with as brother was? Did her sister know she was out there? Was she told she couldn't go with and was the 2 year old upset? Did she try to follow the car...? That seems like what a child that age might do...

Anyhow, these parents could be stellar, not saying they aren't, but where is the INFO on them or whether they were questioned, polygraphed, etc. and WHERE are the further details?

It said in thi svideo the parents are no longer in the area AND POLICE have no forwarding info for them or way to get in touch with them. I had no suspicions as no reason to but WHY would you do that ever if an unsolve case and no body found of your child?

Just thoughts...

i don't know if the other two cases on this video are on here but interesting in their own right. I would say the first one they have they right guy they have tried twice and in the last case aon it it was that family friend guy or a family member... It was definitely SOMEONE close and "in the know" that the girl would be alone, etc. and to do something in that very short window of time...

Wednesday marks nine years since Myra Lewis’ disappearance

March 1, 2023, marks nine years since the disappearance of Myra Lewis. She was two-years-old when she disappeared in Madison County.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is offering a $20,000 reward for information regarding the whereabouts of Myra.

There's alot of questions, And Jack squat for answers. 3 kids 2 adults. Busy household. That bothers me. That there was one more child there and her father at the time. So an opportunist?.For a quick snatch and grab?. Someone she knew?. Someone that had been watching?. I don't suspect foul play in the home.

Want to share that I've found that the home was on Mt. Pilgram Rd. I tried to find the location on street view but no luck. My thought about what might have happened to her is that she was either lost or abducted.
The following news reports include footage of the area.
Link below is an interview with the parents.

I think the image below must be of the same property.
It was reported that search dogs tracked her to an area inside of the yard near the fence and driveway.

FROM THE VAULT: Disappearances of Hearin, Tullos, Levitz, Lewis still unsolved

In 2014, Myra Lewis, 2, disappeared from her neighborhood in the Camden area of Madison County. A frantic search turned up nothing.

“I pledged to that family that I’m not gonna quit until we find Myra,” Sheriff Randy Tucker told WLBT shortly after Lewis disappeared.

Myra Lewis still missing 10 years after disappearance

March 1, 2024, marks 10 years since the disappearance of Myra Lewis. She was two-years-old when she disappeared in Madison County.

Madison County Supervisor Paul Griffin lives in the area. He said Myra’s disappearance has forever changed the community.

“You got family kind of keeping a little close eye on their children in the rural area, where it use to the children can kind of roam free over to the neighbors, the playground and all that. Now, parents don’t take their eyes off of them since the disappearance of Myra Lewis,” said Griffin.

Madison County deputies are still investigating Myra’s disappearance, but there is no new information on the case at this time.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is offering a $20,000 reward for information regarding the whereabouts of Myra.

America's Lost Children: 37 Active AMBER Alerts Still Haunt Families

The first AMBER Alert was issued in 1996. The notification, which stands for America's Missing Broadcast Emergency Response, has recovered at least 1,074 abducted children around the country.

Throughout the years, however, not all missing children are found and there are still 37 active alerts.

"Obviously we would want ever case of a missing child to be resolved and for the child to be recovered alive," Alan Nanavaty, executive director of special programs the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children missing children division, told Newsweek.

The alerts serve as just one tool to help find missing children. Last year alone, Nanavaty said her organization had 20,000 children missing reported to the organization. Around 90% of those children were found.

"Since we've been tracking AMBER Alerts, since early 2005 timeframe, 99% of the children have been recovered," Nanavaty said. "It's not a good or bad thing. It's just what it is, and law enforcement continues to work on the cases."

"I think in terms of the AMBER Alert being used or activated at this point on these cases, the value diminishes over time. However, there are still things that can be done," Nanavaty said. "The most important part is locating that child as quickly as possible and bringing them home safely."

2014 Amber Alerts

Myra Lewis was last seen playing outside of her home in Camden, Mississippi. The then two-year-old was left by her mother, who went to the grocery store. Her mother told Myra and her sisters to go inside the house, where their father was.

Each parent thought Myra was with the other one.
