California authorities launch search for girl who hasn’t been seen in at least 1 year​

Authorities in Santa Barbara County launched a search for a 9-year-old girl who has not been seen in a year, and who has not been seen in a photograph in two.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office began searching for Melodee Buzzard on Tuesday after a school administrator reported she hadn’t been at school in quite some time.

Deputies attempted to contact Melodee and her mother, Ashlee Buzzard, at their home in Lompoc, but the elementary school student was not there, and “no clear explanation was provided for her whereabouts.”

Although the missing persons case is only one-day-old, detectives have been unable to confirm a single recent sighting in about a year. The most recent photograph they were able to locate was taken at least two years ago, officials said.

The Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information about Melodee, potential sightings or contact in the past year, to come forward.

“Even small details may be critical in helping investigators ensure her safety,” the Sheriff’s Office wrote in a news release.

My Suzuki is a hatchback with a split rear seat foldable down. I normally always have them down due to me picking up bales of hay and horse feed most weeks. The parcel shelf just goes up with the rear hatch normally, but I permanently have that removed too.

I worked at a drive-in during high school and LOTS of people snuck people in.

I think they already had the recording and used the story to detain her for a bit. I'm sure they would have asked from the start of the had a recording of the conversation.

I am not one bit surprised. He rubbed me wrong from the first and I think I even said we only knew from him what was supposedly said OR done. He seemed a braggart and to insert himself imo, and he told the public "his" story when LE wanted it quiet. I'm not even sure LE wanted this arrest but more that he pushed for charges. She also was not moved on and arrested for not producing MB by LE. I think there are reasons for that.

So now she's been charged unfairly for something she did not do and had it dismissed and we still don't know where her daughter is.

That's just great. NOT.

Personally I think Tyler should be charged for false allegations and if there isn't such a charge, there should be.

From what I am hearing, AB is the one that recorded it and people and experts are saying she is smart, not stupid by any means.

I don't think Tyler by any means was "with" the cops. Some are trying to think that or that t was a means for cops to hold her. Imo he and the dad's family too are inserting themselves, pressuring, etc. Not that he is connected to dad's family, that has been denied.

He simply inserted himself and then bragged it up.

We haven't even heard this recording but I bet it is pretty clear what he said is b.s.

If cops wanted to hold her, they would move on her not producing MB. These people are interfering imo. Tyler for sure. The father's family are too but at least one can understand they care about MB.

Tyler is just wanting himself some fame, the way it all played out showed it, and he removed his initial post too.

AB recorded the conversation, and it freed her today. She probably thinks people are after her or her kid and in this case she was right. All lies.

Talk about a setback... She isn't any dummy, it shows that much...

I am trying to think what they just charged that kid with, I think false reporting or some such, that claimed Hispanics shot at him but it was a lie. In a way it is obstruction of justice.

He should be charged. This really ticks me off and he struck me wrong from the very start. He clearly was inserting himself in my opinion and was clearly attn seeking that he had to go post about t and his whole officer of the court thing (he is not one), etc.

Everyone speculates that she does not trust law enforcement and this will have given her even more reason not to. She knew what he was up to imo in that she recorded it.

You know, I really feel/felt MB was alive but the longer this goes on, doubts are creeping in.

I don't know what they are going to do here but they need to be doing something!

Banfield has the recording AB made. Interesting... She tells him he wants attn (just as I said), that he should end up in jail, that he is bipolar and more. That she wants her keys back (he had keys to her house and storage apparently??).

Pretty ridiculous that he accuses her of locking him in when he has keys to her house to enter at any time. I know that's backwards but my point is she gave him some trust apparently and he betrayed it.

She says he is deceitful and imo he is, thought so from the start. She is calm.

If it was posters, maybe she just had the ones she was on camera taking down all together for some reason? If it was pictures, then it's obvious that she has plenty of pics of her.
