Canada LILY & JACK SULLIVAN: Missing from Pictou County, Nova Scotia - 2 May 2025 - Ages 6 & 4 (1 Viewer)

Lily Sullivan, 6, and Jack Sullivan, 4, were reported missing around 10 a.m. Friday. They were last seen on Gairloch Road in Lansdowne Station.

Police believe the siblings wandered away from their home and say there is no information to suggest they were abducted.
<snip>
Martell says he and Malehya Brooks-Murray asked Lily and Jack to quiet down on Friday morning to let the baby sleep.

He estimates it took up to 20 minutes to notice the two children were gone.

“A few minutes went by, I heard nothing. Got up, went out in the kitchen, checked everything, I seen they weren’t there. Checked their bedrooms and they weren’t there. So I looked out the backyard, that’s the only other place they would go, and their boots were gone. The door, the sliding door, was closed. Usually they don’t close the door, I usually have to remind them, remind them to close the door over and over,” he says.

Martell says he then jumped in his vehicle and started looking for them.

A family of SEVEN? In that dumpy trailer?

Can't see his own daughter Meadow?? WTH?

Former guy says they don't do polygraphs generally on those not suspects, etc.

None of these posts still confirm whether he did one and passed.

Why can't he see his OWN kid? I mean shouldn't be an issue if they have nothing on him he did wrong ever. Right??

His wife's kids are missing and he claims to have done nothing wrong, he isn't under arrest, so why can't he see his own daughter?? There's more here somewhere. Now we have seven people in that hovel per him...
Family of 7 must include his mum and her boyfriend who lived in the RV. So where the heck have they gone?

He says he has to wait for supervised CPS visits to see his daughter.

Well I thought that at first too but then we've never heard one word of other kids before either like his daughte, as part of the household at times at least? His mom and bf lived in the RV, this sounded more like household.
Supervised visits. There is a LOT more going on here imo. And one sees not a person standing up for him--not even his own mom, etc...
There are not ANY good signs here.

His daughter is the 18 month old baby that the mother has left with, i think. So they want him to only have supervised visits with her now?

He was talking of his own daughter who I take to be older which would be different mother I assume. Unless I've messed it up, one that makes the household more like seven.

I haven’t even got to see my own kids, not even Meadow yet, but I’m still hopeful. I have supervised visits coming up with CPS,” said Martell.

Above is a clip I brought forward. I guess I don't know, it could be the baby but he also talks of his own kids where all we knew of was her two kids, the two missing, and the baby which was theirs. Meadow could be the baby but then a family of seven in the home is not just those three, two parents, then two others are WHO??
He isn't talking of his mom, etc. because that would not equal kidS for him. We know of only ONE for him so that means there are others he was already not allowed to see for some reason imo.

He talks of his other kids. I don't think it's his mom and her bf. HIS other kids.

I think he has 2 other children.

1. Child from previous relationship
2. Child from previous relationship
3. Lily - bonus Child
4. Jack - bonus child
5. Meadow - the baby

I'm not sure how CPS works in Canada. I wonder if Meadow is actually in foster care now?

How does the baby equal HIS other kids?
Maybe i misunderstood. I never knew he had two other kids. They didn't live there, did they? So how could they be part of his household of 7. He is the only one there now he says so i took it to mean his mum and bf have cleared off too. Sounds like rats leaving a sinking ship.

How old are these two other kids and where were they on the day the kids were last seen and the day they went missing?

Any details on these two other kids? Like ages? Where were they when Lily and Jack went missing and where are those other two kids now?

I honestly don't know. I just know they exist. There isn't a lot of information coming out. I have tried to watch a Facebook group but essentially it's a bunch of Canadians attacking any poster that isn't from Canada. It's pretty pathetic.

So you are thinking Meadow is the baby? I have not necessarily picked up on enough to tell me that but maybe just missed such. Do you know that? If so, i'd like to just know, for some reason i was thinking it was some child of his previously, etc.

IF SO, then mom is allowed baby and no threat of her being taken? He clearly can't see her. He then is certainly NOT free and clear.

Yeah, I know zilch about CPS in Canada. Linda said she would take this one on after Daybell. I hope she doesA and is not hit and miss. She has been back with a vengeance this past week and where one can count on her. She has had a lot of personal life going on.

She is Canadian and would know more about all these things. If she starts on it, I will link. I am unsure where she lives any longer, pretty sure not Nova Scotia, I think she went out in Calgary recently. Not where she lives but point is just saying she is Canadian but not necessarily in the same area but would know Canadian law and such.

Man watching Daybell on her channel made it so much easier. It was fun rather than so hard. It really helped with the hard. Her fans are great, I'm one, and lots of humor and laughing. She knows that case as well or better than anyone. Despite the humor, she is very serious about cases. I'd like to see her take up Lily and Jack.

She does follow a lot of our cases as we often release more than Canada will. Or media will. And filings will. And so forth. I know that much

It could be mom and lover but I took it more as a home full of seven. Who knows? Just saying if THOSE kids of his he had issues seeing, there is a lot more here.

Rats I can agree with. I don't see anyone yet that should have custody of children or any proof any should.

Canada is like that with info release. I really hope Linda picks this up.

Odd to me FB and Canadians would be that way if people from the U.S. show they care. That is pathetic.

Linda will cover it with grace and concern and a good group from here in the U.S. as well. I hope she has the time and means it. We all seem very interested in this one and think we are. Would be good to have a Canadian cover it that loves us and would never attack and cares greatly about cases and victims. Imo.

There is NO attacking there.

Yes, Meadow is the baby. I am 100% uncertain who has her.

Okay I did not know that. Appreciate having baby name confirmed as I thought it might be another child of his. Older. So do appreciate.

Mom left with her right? So as far as who has her, what do you mean? CPS vs. mom?

I really hope Linda takes this one up, is back with us and has time. She would be perfect for it. She does have much going on, her dad going into extended care, family things, had times.

However, she is Canadian and would answer some of those kinds of questions for us and if she get into a case, she is into a case. She would tell us how things work there, CPS and so on.

'My heart tells me these babies are gone,' says grandmother of missing N.S. children

Belynda Gray awoke to the sight of flashing red and blue lights as two police cars pulled into the driveway of her home in the early morning hours of May 3.

She already knew why they were there.

Her son, Cody Sullivan, is the biological father of two children who vanished from a rural Nova Scotia community the day before.

"They come inside. They only stood in the kitchen," said Gray of the police officers who came to her home on Nova Scotia's Eastern Shore.

"They wanted me to wake Cody up and they wanted to know when was the last time he had seen the kids and that they were just making sure that the kids weren't here. And then they left."

The previous morning, police received a 911 call reporting that Lilly Sullivan, 6, and Jack Sullivan, 4, had wandered away from their home in Lansdowne Station, a sparsely populated and heavily wooded community in Pictou County.

Their disappearance sparked extensive searches that have so far turned up little evidence, as nearly a dozen RCMP units try to piece together what happened to the young siblings amid intense international interest.

After watching the investigation unfold over the last six weeks, Gray has decided to share her family's story in the hopes of keeping Lilly and Jack's case in the public eye.

Gray, 62, said her son was in a relationship with the children's mother, Malehya Brooks-Murray, for about three years.

"I thought they were the picture-perfect family," said Gray. "Then Malehya started to tell me that they were having problems and she wasn't happy."

Brooks-Murray decided to end the relationship, and Sullivan chose to walk away from the children, said Gray. Their mother petitioned the court for sole custody, she said.

"When she did that, he said that he was done. He just didn't want no part of it," said Gray of her 29-year-old son, who is currently living with her after losing his construction job, apartment and vehicle nine months ago.

"He hasn't seen the kids for three years."

Despite the fallout, Gray wanted to maintain her own relationship with the children and Brooks-Murray had no objections.

"Any time we wanted to see the kids, she'd come by for a visit. She'd bring them by all the time," Gray said.

But contact between Gray and her grandchildren eventually dwindled and stopped completely after Brooks-Murray moved in with her new boyfriend, Daniel Martell, in Lansdowne Station.

The last time Gray saw Lilly and Jack was nearly two years ago.

On the afternoon of May 2, she received a call from a relative asking if she had heard the news about the children. Gray texted Brooks-Murray, who confirmed Lilly and Jack were missing.

"I was in a state of panic, shock, but in the back of my mind I kept saying, 'Well, they'll find them,'" she said.

Gray headed to Pictou County the following day to help search the dense woods that surround the home where the children were living.

"I'm yelling for Lilly and Jack. We always called Jack 'Jackie boy.' His heritage is Irish," said Gray through tears, pausing to compose herself.

"I started to feel that I can't see them being in the woods.… There's trees everywhere. You literally have to climb over trees, climb under bushes. It is really, really thick."

Relatives of Brooks-Murray have told CBC News she has been advised by police not to speak to media.

In a statement, the Mounties said anyone can decide to speak with media and share information as they wish, but investigators advised loved ones and people who were interviewed to be mindful of the information they share publicly.

Gray said a few days after the children went missing, police returned to take photos of her vehicles, ask for surveillance footage and questioned her son for about 20 minutes.

A few weeks later, they returned a third time, formally questioning Gray for two hours and Sullivan for an hour and a half in a police vehicle.

"I didn't mind.… I wish they would have done it sooner," she said. "My son was a little upset about it. He said they made him feel like he did something wrong."

Last week, Gray said police contacted her and said "they weren't looking his way anymore, that everything's fine."

She also dispelled online rumours that her son lives in Western Canada and is in jail.

Too bad dad walked away. I will leave it at that as I don't think he's likely involved otherwise.

Cops do tell you not to talk if you don't want to hurt the case, but they don't order it. That burden alone stops people who want justice. At least here. It's very hard.
It would seem if mom is telling the truth, she may be cooperating. Hard to say. She might just be saying that. Yet they still may have advised it.

I sure hope they know more than they have let on to us in this one.
