Canada LILY & JACK SULLIVAN: Missing from Pictou County, Nova Scotia - 2 May 2025 - Ages 6 & 4 (1 Viewer)

Lily Sullivan, 6, and Jack Sullivan, 4, were reported missing around 10 a.m. Friday. They were last seen on Gairloch Road in Lansdowne Station.

Police believe the siblings wandered away from their home and say there is no information to suggest they were abducted.
<snip>
Martell says he and Malehya Brooks-Murray asked Lily and Jack to quiet down on Friday morning to let the baby sleep.

He estimates it took up to 20 minutes to notice the two children were gone.

“A few minutes went by, I heard nothing. Got up, went out in the kitchen, checked everything, I seen they weren’t there. Checked their bedrooms and they weren’t there. So I looked out the backyard, that’s the only other place they would go, and their boots were gone. The door, the sliding door, was closed. Usually they don’t close the door, I usually have to remind them, remind them to close the door over and over,” he says.

Martell says he then jumped in his vehicle and started looking for them.

I was watching deception detective on youtube....... i am really starting to think BOTH "parents" know exactly what happened and where these kids are
I watch him every once in awhile on a variety of cases. I respect the experience. I don't give full weight to such but I'll give it a good 75 percent generally with certain ones like him.

I was already there before watching him. This simply doesn't add up.

Most know I often lean towards parents. Not always, and I wait to see things but it is often the case first of all and second of all, we have seen so many similar stories and they just can't mainitain their stories and so on, because they aren't true. One example is many will claim their small child left in the middle of the night but there will be some odd detail like they were fully dressed, not in pjs, and so on. Well right there either parents did not see they went to bed in pjs at minimum or just never were watching them, just for starters. Or where parents PUSH for saying it's an abduction or they wandered off. How would they know either in many a case? Just lots of things.

DD thinks Sebastian Roger's parents are suspect too (mom and stepdad). So do I. Many a cse.

interesting
this just sucks.... i lean towards the parents.... BUT i simply can not rule out they are lost in that EXTREMELY VAST wilderness all around that they literally could have gotten lost in...... or even the slim chance a pedo psycho abducter saw them in their front yard and got them..... this is crazy

I think they were lost and just haven't been found in those woods but I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that they were abducted.

Below is a current news article.
So at least the last public sighting is confirmed. From the article -

"Police have also confirmed the children were spotted in public with family members the afternoon of May 1 – the day before they were reported missing."

Right there with you on all of that.

This may sound cold but I am going to go there. He wants people to stop attacking mom online? Well is she online or not and if not, is she reading it or something? Then stop.

He hopes they are still alive. They are not alive unless they are truly 4 and 6 year old survivalists and did wander off. The only person who has pushed abduction is him.

You don't want criticism, well start explaining things like why you are not together.

You talk of her mental health yet your child is with her, that doesn't worry you?

I'm sorry, they may or may not have asked for this depending on where the fault really lies here but when such things happen, it is where parents end up and they need to deal with it. If both innocent then prove it so as they say they can focus on other suspects or scenarios.

It's a joke for him to ask people to leave her alone OR him alone when we know of nothing that clears either.

I'm sorry if it sounds cold but they are making themselves sus here.

I lean harder and while I will never rule out other slim possibilities, I don't think there is much that points to other here. Very slim percentage.

Always interesting with you and I. I don't agree with either of those at all, we sure differ on each case and on occasion agree wholeheartedly lol.

I don't see any of that as most likely.

Well I guess I will say who knows what types they had around. I mean we've seen lots of grandparents involved cases lately and who even knew who gramps and gran and friends were.

Much we don't know.

I think back to a better known double kids missing case to Daybell. Yah, look how that one turned out. Other double kids in recent times it was someone else? With facts like these?

Have LE looked under all those old ramshackle junky buildings? Also who are the people (names) living in the mobile home - his mum and bf ? What did they see on the day of the disappearance and the day before?

What about a SO registry for the area. Is there one? Have they all been interviewed by LE?

So many questions that have no answers in this case.

Like most cases we have no way of knowing what they've searched under, had a warrant to, or permission to.

I don't do FB and such but sometimes that is where people find out more about the familes and such, can't always trust it, but sometimes.

We have heard in that RV it was his mom and bf. Notice there area is cleaned up a bit but still not great, not like two rich retired RV people, still staying at a junky place.

There are SOs generally everywhere. Who knows if that has changed but always was that way, if you want to look it up, it can probably be found. It's not unusual for even the safest areas if you look an area up for them to be a number of them even rurally. It doesn't differentiate though, meaning some may have never had an interest in a child in their life but was still labeled an SO if assaulting an adult woman for instance.

Nova Scotia RCMP administers polygraph tests in missing children investigation

The Nova Scotia RCMP has confirmed some of the 54 people interviewed about the mysterious disappearance of two children in rural Pictou County have taken a polygraph test.

They did not say how many tests were administered, who took the tests, or what the results were.

Since their disappearance, police say they have collected hundreds of hours of video from the areas surrounding Lansdowne Station, including footage taken along Gairloch Rd. between 12 p.m. on April 28 and 12 p.m. on May 2, for which police had issued a public plea on May 28.

Police also say they have received 488 tips about the case and “been granted numerous judicial authorizations to seize and examine materials and devices that may provide information useful to the investigation.”

“We’re accessing, evaluating and analyzing a significant volume of information from a variety of sources. We have a very coordinated and deliberate approach to make certain all information is meticulously scrutinized, prioritized and actioned to ensure nothing is missed,” said Cpl. Sandy Matharu, investigation lead with the Northeast Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit.

“We’re committed to doing what is necessary to locate Lilly and Jack and advance the investigation, which may take longer than we all hoped.”

As for the search, the RCMP says investigators have extensively searched the Lansdowne Station property, including the following:
  • home
  • grounds
  • outbuildings
  • nearby septic system
  • wells
  • mineshafts
  • culverts
Police say the information gathered during the investigation, including all ground search and rescue efforts, has not identified any new search areas at this time.

‘I know it would be a big help’: Stepfather of missing children shares details of polygraph test

The children’s stepfather Daniel Martell says he was the first to volunteer for a polygraph.

“I know it would be a big help in the case and kind of narrow down maybe some of the speculations and just provide more evidence,” said Martell.

RCMP Cpl. Guillaume Tremblay told reporters Wednesday afternoon “the truth verification unit is engaged.”

“There’s multiple facets to those investigations and those experts are examining every question and answer that those individuals are providing and it could guide the investigation.”

Police have not said how many tests were administered, who took the tests, or what the results were.

During the polygraph test, Martell says he was asked whether or not he was involved in the disappearance of the children. He adds his cellphone, and that of his estranged wife, was confiscated and searched by investigators.

Chris Lewis, CTV’s policing expert and a former polygraph examiner for the Ontario Provincial Police, says it’s significant the RCMP has administered polygraph tests.

“You don’t do polygraph tests and waste that resource on people that maybe just saw something or heard something or is a real remote suspect. That’s not the way it works,” Lewis told CTV News Wednesday.

“If they are doing polygraph tests and examinations on people, those are people they suspect might be involved in some way or for whatever reason aren’t being honest.”

At this point, there has been no major break in the case. Martell says the silence inside his once busy home is deafening.

“Going from a family of seven to just me, I have nothing but time to just think,” he said.

The emotional toll has left its mark on Martell, who has lost of custody of his daughter Meadow.

“I haven’t even got to see my own kids, not even Meadow yet, but I’m still hopeful. I have supervised visits coming up with CPS,” said Martell.

The children’s stepfather says he’s grateful for the investigators and the people who continue to share tips. He adds the family remains hopeful the children will return home safe.

“It’s kind of mind-boggling that there’s not been any evidence at all,” he said. “I appreciate every tip, but it kind of leaves a lot of room to the imagination of what really went on.

“I just want everybody to focus outward. Focus on the kids. The kids are the main priority, and that’ll never change.”

A family of SEVEN? In that dumpy trailer?

Can't see his own daughter Meadow?? WTH?

Former guy says they don't do polygraphs generally on those not suspects, etc.

None of these posts still confirm whether he did one and passed.

Why can't he see his OWN kid? I mean shouldn't be an issue if they have nothing on him he did wrong ever. Right??

His wife's kids are missing and he claims to have done nothing wrong, he isn't under arrest, so why can't he see his own daughter?? There's more here somewhere. Now we have seven people in that hovel per him...
