Cleveland police are searching for a missing 30-year-old EMT worker who is believed to be in danger.

Lachelle Jordon was reported missing on Sunday by her twin sister, who last saw Jordan the day before at Jordan's home, Cleveland Police said in a statement.

The sister, Rachelle Jordan, told police that on Saturday at 6 p.m. Lachelle told her she was going outside to her car to get something. The sister later went upstairs to put Lachelle Jordan's 8 and 4-year-old children to bed when she realized Lachelle Jordan was not in the home, where Rachelle Jordan had been staying of late, police said.

The twin sister told police Lachelle Jordan even left her cell phone behind. Police said the home the two were staying in was shot at on Sunday as well.

Lachelle Jordan, who works for the City of Cleveland EMS, was last seen wearing a blue and white East Cleveland Fire Department hoodie with the letters ECFD on the back and the logo in the front, green and white tie-dye sweatpants with rainbow-colored Crocs, police said.

Lachelle Jordan has asthma and uses an inhaler, police said.

Her sister told police that Lachelle Jordan has a court case against a man named Michael Stennett and was scheduled to testify against him on Wednesday.

A family member told CBS affiliate WOIO-TV that Lachelle Jordan was expected to testify in a rape case involving Stennett, 65. He was indicted in 2022 on two counts of rape and one count of abduction, WOIO reported.

According to WOIO, Cleveland Municipal Court records showed that Stennett was arrested Monday after a warrant was issued for violation of a protection order while committing multiple felonies, including menacing by stalking.

Cleveland police told WOIO in a statement after Stennet's arrest: "There is not information connecting him to this missing persons case at this time."

Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O'Malley said Monday, "This case was scheduled for a final pretrial today, no trial date has been set," WOIO reported.

Mark Barrett, President of the Cleveland EMS Union, previously said that someone had been stalking and threatening Lachelle Jordan at work and it got so bad that her supervisor took her out of the field, WOIO reported.

A missing Ohio EMT embroiled in a rape case limped into a convenience store Thursday after escaping kidnappers who tried to burn her alive, according to a report.

<snip>
“You will never believe it. We got a call from Lachelle Jordan,” a dispatcher told responding police.

“She said she got away from people that kidnapped her. They tried to burn her alive.”

The store clerk told the outlet Jordan “looked nervous, very tired, and like someone [fought] with her,” adding that her shirt was ripped and looked as though it had been burned.

"If you are receiving this message it is because the family of Lachelle Jordan has seen how your assistance has been an integral part of the family efforts to return Lachelle home safely.
"Out of gratitude and respect, for you and your schedules, and because all family have not yet personally seen Lachelle, we wish to inform you that, the Family Press Conference will take place tomorrow, Saturday May 13, 2023. We will inform you as soon as we confirm the time."

Very fortunate you escaped waht sounds like at least two kidnappers. What were they thinking that they let her escape and live to tell about being burned or as she puts it trying to burn her alive. They will pay for it now. I'm sure. Yet they still don't think this was the rapist or that he was behind it and put others up to it or what?

I note they really aren't confirming this is all true or even what is true throughout this one.

So I still say it doesn't gel for me. In fact the more I hear of this incident, the more I'd like to know bout the stalking and rape and the evidence of it all, how it started, and more.

Finally, is this some gang thing? Drive by shooting, perhaps, maybe the rapist is a gang member and his buddies kidnapped her, burned her, yet let her go?

I don't have an opinion yet but I am leaning... But remain open until more details come in.

I'd also like to know where they took her, where they held her, how far she had to go to get help and how she escaped.

Hmm. A family press conference, not a police press conference. Where the police in this as to what they think actually? Who helped bring her home, are they talking of online people or LE or the public, etc.? She got herself out didn't she, don't see how anyone played into that...

In fact I'm not sure why you'd do a press conference as a family in this. She has a stalker for one, wouldn't laying low be better PLUS she just had people after her and trying to burn her alive. WHERE is LE?

CLEVELAND (WJW) – The FOX 8 I-Team has unraveled more of the mystery behind a missing woman suddenly found alive.

We found she had been filing police reports for months about getting stalked and living in fear.

<snip>

The I-Team found she had filed at least 11 police reports since the beginning of this year. Reports for someone stalking her, violating a protection order and damaging her home. Even firing a gunshot into the house.

<snip>

Now, the earlier reports show she had gone to police claiming the rape suspect was stalking her around her home and at her job with EMS.

She also told police she’d been followed by a woman connected to the rape suspect.

She said someone had shot into her home in one incident and kicked in her door in another.

<snip>

As for all of those reports filed by Jordan, Cleveland police issued a broad statement.

“The Cleveland Division of Police takes all calls for service seriously and matters are investigated and routed through the judicial system appropriately,” Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia wrote in an email.

<snip>

We’ll follow up as the investigation moves forward. Police say we would have to file a records request to find out, specifically how each of the earlier reports was handled.

Stalking charges against Michael Stennett are being dropped days after the Cleveland EMT he was accused of menacing for months went missing, then resurfaced at a convenience store in Collinwood.

Lachelle Jordan, 30, reported to Cleveland police being stalked by Stennett and his associates at least three times before she went missing earlier this month.

<snip>

Now his stalking charges will be dropped. Prosecutors said there were "inconsistencies" in the case.

“A joint motion to reduce the bond was filed because at this point, we have inconsistent evidence to substantiate the stalking complaint against Michael Stennett," said Lexi Bauer with the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office. "Tomorrow, that case will be dismissed and the investigation will continue. Any further charging decisions will be made after a thorough investigation is complete. Numerous law enforcement agencies are involved in the investigation. We decline to comment further at this point.”

Stennett will be released with ankle monitoring.

I'm not one bit surprised. This story stunk from the start. Can't know for sure but it sounded like a very one sided story...
What got me was the sister putting her kids to bed, supposedly without raising the alarm at that time. If the mother of kids just went out to the car to retrieve something and has a stalker and didn't come back in to tell her kids good night, wouldn't that immediately create panic in her sister? She just puts them in bed and goes on like it's just a normal night?

If that part hadn't happened, then I could believe it might have actually happened, but for a person not to be concerned about somebody not coming right back in from just running out to their car and having a stalker doesn't make much sense to me. I would think that would create immediate panic.

In addition the sister's statement to media that she thought her sister was being held by someone.

huh? If my sister was being stalked and threatened and then disappeared from the driveway after running out to her car to retrieve something the day before she was set to testify against her stalker, my first assumption would be someone is trying to silence her and prevent her testimony (kill her) not kidnap her and simply hold her?

Whole story stinks. Now I doubt the accused was a stalker and am beginning to wonder about those rape allegations as well . . . seems like someone has it out for someone alright but not the someones we were first led to believe. :cautious:

I had forgotten about testifying the next day. I'm sure panic should have set in when she didn't come right back in.

Yeah that and absolutely no detail about shooting at the house the night before and yet you go outside, either of them, without the other saying you come right back so i don't worry, and in fact, most people wouldn't have went alone or the other not waited and watched, etc. with the events they claimed were going on. All of it was just odd, more than that in fact... And all of the claims AFTER she was "found" came from her/family, and the supposed PC was to be by them, etc. too.

Can't say there is no truth to anything BUT it is seeming likely... Very dramatic story, all of it... Or at least much of it imo.
