Cleveland police are searching for a missing 30-year-old EMT worker who is believed to be in danger.

Lachelle Jordon was reported missing on Sunday by her twin sister, who last saw Jordan the day before at Jordan's home, Cleveland Police said in a statement.

The sister, Rachelle Jordan, told police that on Saturday at 6 p.m. Lachelle told her she was going outside to her car to get something. The sister later went upstairs to put Lachelle Jordan's 8 and 4-year-old children to bed when she realized Lachelle Jordan was not in the home, where Rachelle Jordan had been staying of late, police said.

The twin sister told police Lachelle Jordan even left her cell phone behind. Police said the home the two were staying in was shot at on Sunday as well.

Lachelle Jordan, who works for the City of Cleveland EMS, was last seen wearing a blue and white East Cleveland Fire Department hoodie with the letters ECFD on the back and the logo in the front, green and white tie-dye sweatpants with rainbow-colored Crocs, police said.

Lachelle Jordan has asthma and uses an inhaler, police said.

Her sister told police that Lachelle Jordan has a court case against a man named Michael Stennett and was scheduled to testify against him on Wednesday.

A family member told CBS affiliate WOIO-TV that Lachelle Jordan was expected to testify in a rape case involving Stennett, 65. He was indicted in 2022 on two counts of rape and one count of abduction, WOIO reported.

According to WOIO, Cleveland Municipal Court records showed that Stennett was arrested Monday after a warrant was issued for violation of a protection order while committing multiple felonies, including menacing by stalking.

Cleveland police told WOIO in a statement after Stennet's arrest: "There is not information connecting him to this missing persons case at this time."

Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O'Malley said Monday, "This case was scheduled for a final pretrial today, no trial date has been set," WOIO reported.

Mark Barrett, President of the Cleveland EMS Union, previously said that someone had been stalking and threatening Lachelle Jordan at work and it got so bad that her supervisor took her out of the field, WOIO reported.

CLEVELAND (WJW) – As the search for a missing Cleveland EMS worker continues, a rape suspect accused of stalking the 30-year-old woman, appeared in court on Tuesday morning.

65-year-old Michael Stennett was arraigned on charges that he stalked Lachelle Jordan for months, appearing numerous times outside her home and even showing up as the EMS worker was out on emergency calls.

Co-workers say Lachelle Jordan was eventually transferred to EMS headquarters because of concerns caused by Michael Stennett’s alleged conduct.

EMS Union President Mark Barrett told Fox 8, “You know just kind of watching and almost like intimidating, you know it’s the best way I can describe it, you know trying to I guess scare her from testifying.”

Lachelle Jordan vanished on Saturday, two days before she was scheduled to appear at Michael Stennett’s final pretrial hearing in a case where Stennett, who is also a former Cleveland Recreation Department employee, is facing rape and abduction charges.

Lachelle Jordan is the key witness.

On Tuesday morning, prosecutors told the judge that Michael Stennett has repeatedly violated a court order that Lachelle Jordan sought out of concern for her safety and granted in the rape case.

“He was warned by the judge to stay away from the victim, to comply with, fully comply with the no contact temporary protection order,” said Assistant Prosecutor Jose Torres.

During the court hearing, the attorney representing Michael Stennett pointed out that the 65-year-old is not facing any charges related to the disappearance of Lachelle Jordan.

The judge then set Stennett’s bond at $100,000 in the stalking case.

CLEVELAND — A $5,000 cash reward is now being offered in the case of missing woman Lachelle Jordan.

The Cleveland Police Department announced the reward Wednesday morning, saying the money is available "for information in the event it is determined this involves criminal activity."
Anybody with information is asked to call the Cleveland Police Department at 216-621-1234 or Crime Stoppers at 216-252-7463.

While this all sounds like it would lend towards one reasonable conclusion/thought, why did she go/walk outside to get something and never come back...? And the person just happened to be waiting on the off chance she would...? Sister never realized she didn't come back until she was putting her kids to bed... Why would she be putting them to bed unless she did know she wasn't there...

That just doesn't jive for me... Something doesn't about all that.

Your kids are there, the place was shot at the day before or whatever and you walk outside...?

Someone called her or some plan was in place to meet someone or something tempted her out imo....

I don't know though. Just odd.

And the person just happened to be waiting on the off chance she would...?
He's been charged with stalking. That's not uncommon stalking behavior. He's been outside of her home before. Like this that he was accused of:

Because she was abducted?? She's not allowed to live her life?

Also possible that someone lured her outside from a text/call and she went to talk to them or tell them to go away.

I don't know what happened any more than you, but I'm going to give a victim of stalking, who sought a protection order to testify in a rape case, the benefit of the doubt.

No, I don't deny he could have been doing such a thing although why wasn't he in jail?

And of course she can live her life and walk outside, etc. and I definitely am not blaming her.

I am wondering more so if someone baited her out, talked her into meeting them, etc. It doesn't exactly mesh that things were this bad, the stalker, the shooting at the home, etc. but her sister never realized she didn't come back right away nor worried.

I am not blaming the victim, I am wondering what is missing here.

And also is she the rape victim to be the primary witness? I don't need to know that but again just saying there are things missing. Was there ever a relationship and again, not blaming but well known that some go back to their abusers or can be influenced by them.

Again, I didn't read the links, just going by the bit of info here.

His behaviors sounds extremely constant and bad and unbelievable he wouldn't have been in jail.

But also things say there is no proof it has a thing to do with him. So also for all we know she could have taken off or had some boyfriend she was on the outs with and meeting, etc. which again has me asking what she really went outside for necessarily.

It sounds to me like some domestic situation where the kids and her and her sister are living together as she left someone and they need to be safe. But then they bring in this other thing going on too of a rapist and stalker. But is he the one who shot at the house or is something more going on?

If he is in jail (is he?) then he would have to get someone to do it or someone else is responsible. And she also could have left on her own.

It is pretty darned unclear.

Meanwhile, Stennett, 65, is in the Cuyahoga County Jail, accused of stalking Jordan in the days and months before she disappeared.

The longtime Cleveland youth baseball coach was charged with one felony count of menacing by stalking and one felony count of violating a protection order while committing a felony Monday.

Cleveland Police executed a search warrant at his apartment on Larchmere Boulevard Monday, according to Stennett's landlord.

Mark Barrett, the president of Cleveland's EMS union, said, "We couldn’t protect her when our job is taking care and protecting the public."

<snip>
An arrest warrant for Stennett said Jordan noticed "multiple times" Stennett was following her in his personal vehicle while she was working, and he would also wait outside her home.

The warrant also said Stennett went to Jordan's house and refused to leave one time in January, and she noticed him sitting outside her home on May 4, just two days before she went missing.

"The system failed her," said Barrett. "She did everything right. And here we are."

News 5 first told you about Stennett in January.

We learned he was still working at a Cleveland recreation center on the city's east side even after being charged with two counts of felony rape in May 2022.

After our report aired, Stennett was placed on leave.

Last week, the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office confirmed Stennett was offered a plea deal in the case. It's unclear if the offer is still available. Stennett's next pre-trial hearing in the case is scheduled for May 30.

So he wasn't in jail and he had recently and currently stalked her?? That I did not know of course.

What do they mean it is unclear if he still has the plea offer on the table?? Are they kidding??!!

This and they seem to assume he did this and if that is the case, yeah the system failed her no sh*t!!

And yet they haven't charged him nor come eright out and said he did this have they?

I can see why they assume so.

And yet he continued back when in his job until news reported on it before he was placed on "leave". Not fired, just "leave".

Sickening. IF he did it. What royal screw ups.

‘We want her home’: Family of missing Cleveland EMS worker speaks out at vigil

For the first time, relatives of a missing Cleveland EMS worker are speaking out publicly, pleading for her safe return.

Meanwhile, a $5,000 reward is being offered to anyone who can help investigators find 30-year old Lachelle Jordan and bring her home.

“My name is Joseph Jordan and I’m here to find my daughter. I want to find her alive and I want to find her well,” said Lachelle’s father as he addressed a group at a vigil.

Relatives, friends, community activists and fellow EMS workers gathered on Fairport Avenue in Cleveland Wednesday evening, in front of the home where Lachelle, a mother of two, lives with her sister.

“Lachelle is my fourth daughter out of six. She is a twin, which is probably the hardest thing her sister is going through right now. They have been together for their whole lives,” said her father.

“As a father, I want to say, if you have my daughter, give her back to me. That would take away the hurt, that would take away the pain, that would take away the sorrow,” said her father.

Crimestoppers is offering the $5,000 reward for information that brings Lachelle home safely.

“Our family wants our daughter, our sister, our mother. We want her home, that’s what we want. We want her home,” Joseph Jordan told the crowd.

Stennett is being held in the Cuyahoga County Jail on $100,000 bond.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Friends and family of Lachelle Jordan on Thursday passed out flyers and talked to residents in her East Side neighborhood as they continue to hope that the missing Cleveland EMS worker will return home safely.

Jordan, 30, the mother of two, was reported missing by her family on Sunday. She was last seen about 6 p.m. Saturday at her home on East 116th Street and Fairpoint Avenue, police said.

Authorities said her disappearance is suspicious, and Cleveland officers are working with U.S. marshals to find her. On Monday, a Cleveland man was arrested and accused of stalking her.

“She (Jordan) was a good person,” said Beyonce O’Neal, an EMS worker. “We don’t understand how someone could take from us someone who gave everyone so much.”

O’Neal said Jordan took care of her colleagues who attended the EMS academy. She graduated from it in February. O’Neal said Jordan would bring in doughnuts. When classmates were nervous about their uniforms for graduation, she pressed and ironed the items.

“It just all seems unreal,” O’Neal said. “Lachelle was a good friend.”

Jordan’s two children, Austin and Alyssa, are with family members, according to her oldest brother, Dominique.

He said his sister is a giver, a community servant, a churchgoer and a family woman.

CLEVELAND — Cleveland EMT Lachelle Jordan has been found and is safe, her father, Joseph Jordan, told News 5's Sarah Buduson. Lachelle had been missing since Saturday while police, family and colleagues spent the last several days searching for her.

Joseph Jordan said police called him, and he said that Lachelle is being interviewed by police.

"We're all just happy," Joseph Jordan told News 5, who saw his daughter briefly and said she "looked to be okay, alert."

Cleveland Police Dispatch told News 5 she was found just before midnight.

A worker at a convenience store on East 166th and Euclid said an injured woman came into the store, and surveillance video from the store shows a woman who is having some difficulty walking go into the store. Her clothes are torn, and she is barefoot. The worker says she asked for a phone and called the police.

All I've got right now is a big hmmmm.

Something in this one doesn't sit right. I don't know what it is. But something is missing at minimum.

Went off on her own, then what, was abducted? Fought her way free or he let her free and then she got back on her own?

I am glad she is safe but yeah, I will wait for the rest of the story... Because as it is now, it just doesn't gel for me.

Cleveland police and the family do not suspect Stennett had a role in her disappearance, though no one has publicly said why.

I am glad she is safe, but yeah, this whole situation is odd. neither the police nor family feel he had a role? Then who? Papini flashbacks tell me what they aren't saying may be just as important as what they are saying. Math isn't mathing for me.

:welcome: Glad to have you with us!

I'm not sure what to think yet. I just hope authorities know by now.

Yeah I'd say something else is up. they don't finger him so I'm guessing she took off or there is a current or recent relationship and that that person is involved but that's simply guesses on my part.

There just isn't enough info on the stalker/rape guy either. Was he a stranger, someone known to her, etc. Is/was she in hiding for him and that's why she and her kids are with her sister or was that another reason, a recent break up or something? And who shot a the house or do they suspect of that and why? I ADMIT I didn't read all links so maybe some is known but it looks to me like there is a lot of info we don't know.

Nope, don't gel and it doesn't math as you say. Not yet anyhow.
