Mother shot to death, AMBER alert issued for missing 2-day-old baby​

A mother is dead and her newborn baby is missing, according to state and Memphis authorities.

Danielle Hoyle, 27, and her 2-day-old baby, Kennedy Hoyle, were last seen in the area of Sedgewick Drive and Levi Road in Whitehaven.

Memphis Police confirmed Wednesday that a 27-year-old mother was found shot and killed near the vehicle, and her baby was missing. Family identified her by name.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued an AMBER Alert for Kennedy on Wednesday morning.

Family members say the last time they heard from Hoyle was when she was taking Kennedy to the hospital on Tuesday evening.

“I just want my grandbaby, and I want my daughter to come home. That’s all I want. At least tell me what’s going on,” Hoyle’s mother said. “They said they got like 50 police looking for her. My thing is everybody should be looking for her. She’s a newborn”

Hoyle’s mother said a detective arrived at her residence late Tuesday to ask what car the woman drives and asked to identify her in a photo.

The family says MPD also told them that they found a body near Hoyle’s abandoned car but did not confirm the identity at the time.

“They said there was an active crime scene. I don’t even know where it is. They said they were gonna do fingerprints, and again try to figure out if it’s her,” Hoyle’s mother said.

Little baby KENNEDY HOYLE has been missing from Memphis, TN since 1 Feb 2022. Her father is suspected of knowing what happened.

Two things.

1. I'm confused. You have to take an infant to the hospital to get vaccinations?

2. You know, it's sad but we read about missing infants and toddlers a lot. But 2 days old? I can't even form a description of how this makes me feel.

both could be true. She "might" have been taking her in for shots AND not telling her family that she invited him to go and was secretly meeting him at a place he requested her to.

If she was only 2 days old, she would be ready for her Hep vax and it appears that she had already been released from dr care prior to the 2 days from what little info that has been given.

I do agree that she most likely did not want family to know she was meeting up with him if all of the drama stories are true.

I agree. There aren't words. No age is okay but helpless infants. Imo the baby daddy likely didn't want a baby. Or maybe not with her or maybe it wouldn't matter who with, didn't want one. Well too many that way and many don't want that outcome but it doesn't matter. Most don't resort to this but many do... Get rid of pregnant mom or baby or baby and mom....

The answer is keep your d*ck in your pants mister. It is all fun with no consequences until there are isn't it...

I too am unsure on the vaccination thing. I'm not saying it is not possible or even likely but I do think it may be what she said to family or something rather than tell anyone she was meeting him or it may be something set up/she was lured... Just not sure.

I should have read farther before I posted. You already said what I have been thinking and just posted but I hadn't seen it yet. There are hints of this in places in the facts we do have...

A bit confused but will look another time when I get a chance, if ever lol. In quick read through of posts, I lean towards he lured her and she didn't want family to know and the shots are a story or one he fed her to tell her family...

As far as hospital versus clinic, I agree, you don't go for vaccinations to a hospital... This could be though just a choice of words... Not unusual for a hospital and clinic to even be attached and some may think of either or both as the same somewhat. However, I lean towards this was not where she was headed. But hard to say for sure yet from what I saw on a quick read through. I did see and knew he said he lured her...

Family and friends remembered a late mother and two-day-old baby through a special ceremony.

Loved ones honor Danielle and Kennedy Hoyle during a candlelight vigil​

It was a very emotional night for loved ones of 27-year-old Danielle Hoyle and her two-day-old baby, Kennedy. Family and friends held a candlelight vigil for the two Saturday on Windcrest Road.

The community showed their support as they honored the beloved mother and daughter through a special ceremony with encouraging words, prayer, a balloon release, and more.

Hoyle’s mother, April Cambell said she still can not believe this is her reality.

"I'm suppose to be loving on my grandbaby. I'm suppose to be loving on my daughter, but I ain't loving on them," Cambell said.

Memphis police continue to search for baby Kennedy after her father, Brandon Isabelle told police he dumped her in the Mississippi River in early February.


Cambell told ABC24 that she urges anyone who may be in a similar situation not to ignore the red flags.

"If you feel as though somebody is going to mistreat you or going to do something to you, just leave. Get far far away," Cambell said. "You never know these people’s minds now. I mean, it's sad that you would want to hurt a baby when all you had to do was just leave."

Isabelle has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder. Cambell stated that she wants justice.

"He needs to suffer. he needs to have a picture of Danielle and Kennedy in his cell and just look at that picture. Look what you took away from us...I just want everybody to know that I'm not resting until we get justice for my baby and grandbaby."
