Oh he had a lot more found and corroborating things like that. It was brilliant. Agree. As much as the case irritates me and it does, mostly because of her and her "team", he was soooo good. I wanted to see him in this trial and did most all of it. I did not finish his closing last night but man that man was so prepared throughout this. No matter WHAT it was, if I was offered him as an atty, I'd take him in an instant. Imo one brilliant atty against a team of many who think they are. It is going to come down to the jury and if all usual good people who truly do not know much. His family though I think can say they got the best effort anyone could EVER ask for and all the words said that needed to be. He flat out put her in her place during I think the first five minutes of closing and he minced no words and it is well backed up. In some ways they should have never suffered the first ambush, BUT it allowed for this one. The D imo has not accomplished ONE thing in this trial. It is soe publicized though thanks to KR and team, who knows...One thing i didnt realise is that she was texting him as he lay there dying. The way Brennan showed the phone, as it lay under him, losing temperature immediately was brilliant. There is no way they can dismiss that evidence IMO.
Like Lori, phones will be her downfall.
As for Proctor, to me, his biggest mistake was to share case info with those outside of the investigation but I don't think he deserved to be fired. No argument here although I am not going to defend Proctor overall. I just don't buy into whatever he abused in his own life means she is innocent nor their fairy tale is true. Defense is entirely unethical and it has always been as clear as day. The types that give them all a bad rap. They are jokes. Circus and drama performers. Court should never ever be that.
I've thoroughly enjoyed watching Brennan. I've watched several trials and I've never seen a better attorney. He's truly extraordinary.I love Brennan. Yet I still am just not in the mood. Maybe I will give it a try. Start it maybe and do in stages. I don't know what it is. Maybe just too much this week and too much court. In need of lightness. That is without serious life sh*t on top of it all. Just not necessarily ready. Never been a real fan of this case but I stayed with it. He was exceptional thoughout, I much enjoyed that. Not sure I've EVER seen anything like it. Ahead of the game entirely every time. As good as he was, it was still a lot to take in and Daybell on top of it. Exhausted with it though. Just know when I need a break. Did he get rebuttal in closings? Can't recall if they do that there. It differs in places. I agree the D will lie and be dramatic I suspect. They didn't do much else or manage it. Also as was reminded multiple time when Lori gave her closing in Daybell, it is for the jury to decide on the EVIDENCE and other things and she totally did wrong in all she said repeatedly and that openings and closings are NOT facts, etc. necessarily at all. I did see those closings. It really has been a LOT to take in. Maybe I will start it and see with Brennan.
I don't know. I do go a bit both ways on it. With what they deal with the definitely need to blow off steam, I get that. With friends, with other LE, etc. Careful with who though. And normally that would never be seen. I have never thought he set anything up, screwed with the investigation, etc. but because of what he did, said, etc. he certain did affect trial. The first time. They got ahead of it this time.As for Proctor, to me, his biggest mistake was to share case info with those outside of the investigation but I don't think he deserved to be fired.
I really like that at the end of his closing, he showed a photo of John, not in uniform as a police officer but as a human being!OMG. I had to come back and say that I knew he'd be good, I kNEW it, he has been throughout. I don't know what it has been, maybe I've just been to inundated or "something" that I just wasn't ready to watch. I started it and only five minutes in OMG is he good. Saying it like it IS. If this jury is fair, and in no way tainted by the B.S. the D and her have put out to the public trying to taint the jury pool themselves, it will be a guilty verdict and I am only five minutes in but I've also seen most of the trial, the pretrial arguments and so on. He grabs attention from the get go in this closing.
I will say this, no matter WHAT happens, his family got the best that can be given and he has totally said immediately who and what she is and all that needed to be said is being said. And shown. EXACTLY what she IS. In NO uncertain terms or sugar coated words. This trial itself, while sick of a lot about the whole thing, has been very satisfying to watch. This man was worth EVERY penny.
And again I am only five minutes in of an hour and 20.
Man he outdoes an entire team of b.s. D attys. and KR thinking she is one, just like Lori.
In that clip where she's wearing a white sleeveless top, she looks to me like she's over the limit (lol), do she come across that way to you?OMG 12 minutes in. Uses her own words and videos against her. And so clearly obvious. She was always so stupid to be talking on TV and such and her attys. not trying to stop her. So impactul already and so needing to be said. I can only imagine how happy his family is with him. I know anyone on the other side won't accept or see it, it's how this case is. She is a shrew, a game player, she is the stalkery type. The niece said he would try to get away from her losing it and she would not leave him alone, pound ing on the bedroom door, escalating, etc. She played to Higgins as if she was done and cared not much, he could do as he wanted and it is the exact oppoiste of what really went on. Even contacting Higgins she was trying for something she thought would keep her "in" and bother John OK. Thank God he never really went there. And was wary. Higgins.
He makes what the D tried to do with the Waterfall videos exactly I saw them. Light of it. There was no animosity, just a group and he says yeah so a murder plan by a bunch for like two hours later? yeah right. And for what reason. It's so ridiculous imo. I still don't get why people buy into such. They were part of this group. Both. The instigator here is KR pure and simple. their relationship was crumbling and he was pulling away. She was trying to find someone else to get to him and to keep her in it.
i don't even have words for how she sickens me and beyond so. Seeing her face ruins my day. I'm glad his family gets this trial and chance. Whatever happens, they got the best one could ask for. All that should be said is being said. And shown.
Goodness an entire 12 minutes and SO MUCH. I'm interested now to no end but making it through and taking all in, not so sure of tonight. Shall see.
No one has to agree. I know those on the other side can't, won't, etc. generally. To each their own but to me it has always been clear, and clear the smoke and mirrors of course it is. It was not a perfect investigation, I have never disagreed with some of that but this huge conspiracy thought is ridculous and it extends to EMTs and far more. And came late to fit the facts that they could not make go away.
JUST my opinion.
I haven't finished the closing yet. I saw the beginning and quite a bit last night though. It was gripping from the start and yes, one thing he did was humanize John. His family has put up with so much and this TV and YT parade and KR and her b.s. as well as that of her attys. I do need to finish it and will.I really like that at the end of his closing, he showed a photo of John, not in uniform as a police officer but as a human being!
And Brennan said he wasn't "a body"...You know, the title of that documentary was offensive to refer to John as "a body in the snow". Shame on them for their insensitivity!
And I think Read description of John appearing as "a buffalo on the prairie" was her effort to explain how it was that she was able to see him on the ground being that it was actually unusual that she would have.
That battery temp evidence blew my mind! Surely, I think it's the first time such has ever been used as evidence. One thing i didnt realise is that she was texting him as he lay there dying. The way Brennan showed the phone, as it lay under him, losing temperature immediately was brilliant. There is no way they can dismiss that evidence IMO.
Like Lori, phones will be her downfall.
It was the perfect add and find. So was bringing in Brennan to blow the D crap out of the water without being over the top about it. I don't even have enough I can say about how it was all handled and prepared for, beyond prepared. That battery temp evidence blew my mind! Surely, I think it's the first time such has ever been used as evidence.
Indeed, it's very impressive that we can know so precisely when John was struck and that after he was struck, he laid there and never moved.
Let me tell you, my heart went out to his parents as Brennan described it to the jury.
I felt the same about the battery temp and timeline and about the parents. I also watched the Lawyer You Know today who analysed Brennan's closing and he reckoned that he got them to sit there on purpose during his closing. I haven't watched the D closing so far. That battery temp evidence blew my mind! Surely, I think it's the first time such has ever been used as evidence.

How has he been? I used to watch him but was finding he could rarely see the P side in any case and found it getting a bit old so haven't watched in while. It is one reason I like Scott, the will tell as is for either side.I felt the same about the battery temp and timeline and about the parents. It was a bit long winded but interesting to see what he thought. He has done one on the D closing too but i haven't seen that yet. One thing i noticed is the questions his viewers pose that he answers all have donation amounts lowest was $2 and top one was $50. I didn't add it up but over the one and a half hours approx he must have made quite a sum.How has he been? Sounds like a lawyer I don't want to know, lmao!I felt the same about the battery temp and timeline and about the parents. I also watched the Lawyer You Know today who analysed Brennan's closing and he reckoned that he got them to sit there on purpose during his closing. I haven't watched the D closing so far.
Ok, so the way he reckoned struck me as how a sleezy defense attorney would think, lol!How has he been? I used to watch him but was finding he could rarely see the P side in any case and found it getting a bit old so haven't watched in while. Yeah a lot of them due and then they have YT and ad revenue too. A few really go long I think for that purpose. If it starts to slow then maybe they will wrap up. HTC is one I feel does that imo sometimes. It was a bit long winded but interesting to see what he thought. He has done one on the D closing too but i haven't seen that yet. I"ve seen the parents ever day during trial. The mom for sure. On occasion I think father may have been seated behind her depending on who all attended with them that day. He might have missed a few, not sure but mom is seen all day pretty much. Are you saying they changed seats or something? KR's side is up front too.I felt the same about the battery temp and timeline and about the parents. I also watched the Lawyer You Know today who analysed Brennan's closing and he reckoned that he got them to sit there on purpose during his closing. I haven't watched the D closing so far.
Yeah he isn't one that can see the P side much which I think is not wise for a lawyer, jmo. They should know both sides even if to strategize and so on. It also means he falls for thhese ridiculous tales and I can't believe a lawyer would do that.Ok, so the way he reckoned struck me as how a sleezy defense attorney would think, lol!
Indeed, YTers know full well what's bringing in the money and what isn't.I will add I need to remember it's that side that makes it so sensational for views, etc. Probably why most do it.
No he's good and not bad eye candy either.Sounds like a lawyer I don't want to know, lmao!
