Love you, just said that, LOL. Yeah, most or some have gotten so political it makes me so mad as it has nothing to do with justice. Yep, it's Boston. It's funny you say "it's Boston" because quite a while back now , I was telling my husband about how this case went from simple to crazy and all he had to say was "Who cares? it's Boston". LMAO!
(I should clarify that my husband has nothing against the city of Boston, just no interest in the case, period, lol.)
He's not a cop anymore and probably cannot be found.I can’t believe the defense didn't call Proctor.
Yeah, there is a lot they didn't do this time. Why? Of course first time was largely an ambush. They didn't get a second chance at such, the P was prepared for it.I can’t believe the defense didn't call Proctor.
I just lit my log burner and it's roaring away. Going to have a beer and maybe a G & T too. Did i tell you about my bees swarmimg in the frigging chimney a couple of weeks ago. Remind me tomorrow if i didnt. Will catch up with the closings later too.Yeah, there is a lot they didn't do this time. Why? Of course first time was largely an ambush. I'm not being sarcastic but asking?
i'm surprised you didn't watch being it was a pet case of yours but the P got a lot out about Proctor when there side was up. They faced some of the things he said and so on. They took the shock value from it.
The key atty I watch is a defense atty and a highly wanted active one and he said defense never has the same chances in a second trial, only in the first. They've shown it all in the first.
We don't have to agree of course. We vary case to case, nothing wrong with that.
Snit is laying snoozing in front of the space heater. Man I'd like to join him but I'd probably never manage to get back off the floor but it is freaking in the low 50s here and it will likely start dropping soon. Not sure where Frank is and unsure if I should be worried or not. I think or hope snoozing somewhere as well.
Anyhow I have said many times I have great faith in juries. They usually get it right. So long as no one knew much of anything, they will imo. There can always be one person of course that just doesn't see it. What happens, happens.
I should watch closings, just not in the mood.
Yeah, I am just so not in the mood for closings. Daybell was a lot on its own and I watched most of this too. Just need a break I think.I just lit my log burner and it's roaring away. Going to have a beer and maybe a G & T too. Did i tell you about my bees swarmimg in the frigging chimney a couple of weeks ago. Remind me tomorrow if i didnt. Problem is if KR gets off or another mistrial, we will never hear the end of it IMO.Yeah, I am just so not in the mood for closings. Daybell was a lot on its own and I watched most of this too. Just need a break I think.
You did tell me about the bees or maybe put it in the basement. No fun for sure. Do you seem to be clear now?
I wish I had wood heat. I grew up on it. There is NO heat like it. The most solid pure heat there is imo.
Lori has been so long coming, just knowing that is now over is such a relief, can't even imagine how the families feel. Today I cared less to even look for interviews, etc. or see closings in this one although last night seeing the juror in Daybell was worthwhile. I'm just beyond with all of it. Maybe this weekend I will watch closings on this now that both are over, not sure yet. And maybe not, maybe I will hear a verdict before I ever watch closings. Not sure yet.
One thing I do know is never seeing the face of KR or LD ever again or hear them opening thei yap I will really appreciate. Neither knows how to stop.
I care for the family and I'm very doubtful she will ever be fully acquitted. Other than that the outcome here is not going to destroy my life. It is far more important to those with a need to be right and can't look at it all. Lord knows what case will be jumped on next. I can handle it lol. I don't usually get into chats out there but on occasion I do lol. I do just fine. Lol. I call out I'how ridiculous the D theory really is. And of course the jury knows little of that or should not.Problem is if KR gets off or another mistrial, we will never hear the end of it IMO.
Shallow as Vallow. That's clever.I care for the family and I'm very doubtful she will ever be fully acquitted. Other than that the outcome here is not going to destroy my life. I'm ready to have it over. If hung and they go for a third time, who knows. I'm sick to death of yappy weak chinned woman. Maybe not nice, but how I see her. I hope it's been worth it to her either way.
I have a lot of faith in juries. Shall see I guess. This one is different, imo, lots of b.s and politics going on.
I will also await afterwards for the D to get sanctioned as they should be. I don't want to see her face though.
What kind of case is it when a supposedly serious witness subscribes to Turtleboy? What a mockery they have made of our system.
I'm not sweating the outcome. I don't care for me. I do for justice and the family. I'll stay vocal out there. If I would ever encounter say her smug mug here, I'd call 911 immediately and say that woman is here that killed her bf and got off and was inebriated to no end.
I don't trust her or the D as far as one can throw them. So long as it is a fair jury, what happens happens. Brennan did one of the most exceptional jobs I've maybe ever seen in my lifetime.
KR will be the same person she is either way, shallow as Vallow.
Some may not like the remarks but it's my opinion. She is not happy, there are types you can just tell it with, probably never has been.
You can believe it was strategic...I can’t believe the defense didn't call Proctor.
Lol I don't think I am clever, they just remind me so much of each other and sicken me to death and it just came to me. So I said it. I don't know what it is, I should watch it but I've just had my fill for now. Maybe later today. Normally I''d really want to see the P at least but just don't have it in me. I need lightness for a bit. I am SO sick of these women. I watched Nate and that was good but still really was not in the mood for more on Daybell either.Shallow as Vallow. That's clever.
I
This link is good as it sums up the closings quickly and says jury started deliberating at 2:30, then went home at 4.30 for the weekend. They will be back on Monday.
In the recap of the closings, it says that the D used her own words in videos, so that was like a testimony.

Live updates: Jury in Karen Read’s retrial sent home for weekend without verdict
The case was turned over to the jury after closing arguments and lengthy instructions from Judge Cannone.www.boston25news.com
I think they knew they would be prepared this time for one. Everyone else sure was. Very well. They hardly even gave a defense this time at all. The only reason they did the first time was by surprise attack/ambush as has been said. Unethical imo to no end.You can believe it was strategic...
Instead of Proctor, they called a friend he's had since childhood, same as using Bukhenik to read the Read/Higgins texts instead of calling Higgins.
You know, the reason the defense didn't call Proctor and Higgins is because they'd show that they actually aren't the bad guys.I think they knew they would be prepared this time for one. No argument here although I am not going to defend Proctor overall. I just don't buy into whatever he abused in his own life means she is innocent nor their fairy tale is true. Defense is entirely unethical and it has always been as clear as day. The types that give them all a bad rap. They are jokes. Circus and drama performers. Court should never ever be that. You know, the reason the defense didn't call Proctor and Higgins is because they'd show that they actually aren't the bad guys.
Yeah, it's defense attorneys like them who give others a bad name but those ar by far, the most unethical I've ever seen. They're the scum of the earth!
I love Brennan. Yet I still am just not in the mood. Maybe I will give it a try. Start it maybe and do in stages. I don't know what it is. Maybe just too much this week and too much court. In need of lightness. That is without serious life sh*t on top of it all. Just not necessarily ready. Never been a real fan of this case but I stayed with it. He was exceptional thoughout, I much enjoyed that. Not sure I've EVER seen anything like it. Ahead of the game entirely every time. As good as he was, it was still a lot to take in and Daybell on top of it. Exhausted with it though. Just know when I need a break. Did he get rebuttal in closings? Can't recall if they do that there. It differs in places. I agree the D will lie and be dramatic I suspect. They didn't do much else or manage it. Also as was reminded multiple time when Lori gave her closing in Daybell, it is for the jury to decide on the EVIDENCE and other things and she totally did wrong in all she said repeatedly and that openings and closings are NOT facts, etc. necessarily at all. I did see those closings. It really has been a LOT to take in. Maybe I will start it and see with Brennan.I watched this today. Brennan closing arguments. It was good. 1 hour 21 minutes.
Haven't watched the D yet. Don't know if I am going to as it will be all lies. If i come across a video of just the D, i will post it.
ETA JO's mum and dad are in the front row while this closing is happening.

OMG. I had to come back and say that I knew he'd be good, I kNEW it, he has been throughout. I don't know what it has been, maybe I've just been to inundated or "something" that I just wasn't ready to watch. I started it and only five minutes in OMG is he good. Saying it like it IS. If this jury is fair, and in no way tainted by the B.S. the D and her have put out to the public trying to taint the jury pool themselves, it will be a guilty verdict and I am only five minutes in but I've also seen most of the trial, the pretrial arguments and so on. He grabs attention from the get go in this closing.I watched this today. Brennan closing arguments. It was good. 1 hour 21 minutes.
