Family of missing Warren man pleads for answers

The family of Juvar King Sr., a 43-year-old Warren man who has been missing since Tuesday, is desperately searching for answers and urging the public to help locate their loved one.

He was last seen about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday at a friend’s house in Warren, according to his family. When he failed to return home, missed his daily responsibilities and his phones were turned off, his family knew something was wrong.

“This is not like him,” said Ebony Morgan, King’s sister. “He has responsibilities. He takes care of his children every day. He has a son who is ill, and he makes sure he’s there for him. He takes his daughter to school. When none of that happened, and his phones was off, we knew something was wrong.”

King’s oldest daughter, Javanier King, described the family’s efforts to find him.

“We went to Cleveland because his phone was last pinged there. We talked to everyone on the street, and nobody had seen or heard anything, we tried to find any houses that had cameras, only a car shop camera that didn’t catch anything” she said, this having occurred on Wednesday.

The family searched Cleveland for hours, including trips to “four or five police stations” all of which yielded no results, Morgan said.

At one point they said his phone was pinged near a school in Cleveland, but neither his phone nor his car — a 2005 or 2006 white Buick Lacrosse with dark tinted windows — has been recovered.

Anyone with information about Juvar King’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Warren Police Department at 330-841-2512, the family’s tip line at 330-555-1234, or his sister Jalissa at 216-703-7805.

The family offered a $20,000 reward for the whereabouts of their loved one and $10,000 for information that leads to the recovery of his vehicle.
