JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Yet it was not brought into evidence but is in FOIA docs. Hmmm. Megan thinks not brought in because they didn't want to hint anyone else may have been responsible other than Lori, etc. Wow. A lot being sat on supposedly...

Do you mean hiding now or out of fear of her back then by the way? I guess I should clarify that.

Adam and Zak were the new "dark ones" not Summer.
I'd be hiding now out of mortal embarrassment. I'm certainly not willing to blast my family skeletons to the whole world. I'm also still learning boundaries with some other kind of family. It's a lifelong process.

That makes sense. I just wasn't sure after I thought about it what you meant exactly. Family is a lifelong process, I can mention several things about it over my lifetime. Learning those you thought perfect when a child really aren't, needing at times to separate, coming back together even and learning what matters and those sorts of things.

Understanding though what it must be like to have a Lori is something I try to imagine but have never lived of course, nor probably have most of us. I think some of her family is trying to control the narrative a bit since admittedly a lot is out there just blurted out and told by others and I guess what do you do then other then perhaps do your own to try to tell "your truth"? I don't know. I agree with you, it doesn't all need to be blasted out but one isn't going to stop some regardless...

Yeah, I'd think Summer AND Janice actually would hide out of mortal embarrassment at minimum, and that's if they weren't far more involved even. I'm leaning that way actually for a few reasons.

Regardless they've hid more than most from the start, however, that could be also out of guilt.

I may not be following what you mean correctly but I think I am. Let me know if not.

I understand fierce loyalty without thinking to family. I've been there in life. I understand the falling apart of family and i've been there. I understand the forgiving, letting go and coming back together. I understand as children we tend to think our parents are perfect, at least most of us, not sure how that family was, and older siblings are and so forth and can save one and be relied on. I also understand finding out as the years go on they aren't perfect.

One thing we have never had is anyone who committed a serious crime like these or anyone facing prison. And for killing other family members no less or a spouse and so on.

In this case though I don't think there was much way for the family to hide all because others were going to talk no matter what. They can hide but they can't shut others up. Nor the evidence cannot be taken away.

I would note it seemed Lori could not even get her diehard family members served or to testify. It seems. None were there for her either.

I don't know what I'd do in such a case but I know I wouldn't start a channel.

I don't know if I'm even talking of what you are but I imagine it is what you mean, as to like Summer and hiding and not sharing family skeletons. Correct me if I'm way off.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't make more public than already some are outing though. Even if it was to correct it.

At the moment, Colby probably strikes me as the truest and he did what a lot would probably do and didn't even follow all as he had enough to deal with with it all, so some things coming out seem to be shocking him more and I think it is about family members and that last day of trial.

As to boundaries, to your post, yeah, that is something I've put my foot down in life a few times with family. I also was never any kind of leader in my family, that's a couple of others, I'm more the peacekeeper. Or was. However, I came to find out that i am stronger with some things than say those that think they are and they couldnt handle some things I could, well or at least DID and did not avoid such, hard as it was. And I put my foot down then too. Not something I was used to doing.

I guess I am kind of wandering. So I'll stop.

I'll end with I don't understand this level of things in this family, or what it seems to be. It's hard to understand the lengths some would go to like for Lori, and then add in the religion thing and the what, morals or lack of them...? I know this, if a family member of mine committed murder, or intended to, I would have never helped them, and never condoned it. Wrongly accused or self defense of course is different but it honestly seems as if Summer knew they were planning to kill Charles. I guess there are a lot more texts and such that FOIA docs brought that people have stayed quiet about pending trial.

I honestly am leaning towards she at least if not the parents too were on board with Charles being killed. I'm sorry to say it but I mean she asked if Lori wanted her to shoot him herself!

Sorry for the wandering post. Just trying to think through it all I guess.

I watched a 1/2 hour one of Rex and Adam just now. They talked of the direction they will go after this and let's see if I can put it right. Funny since I was just wondering that with all these shows, maybe others are asking too. Sounds like they will try to get other families who have suffered from crime on and if they can't, but those people did any interviews, Rex called that fair game to take and dissect as such is public. So another crime show but focusing on the families' and what they say?

I didn't see any hard questions taken or answered.

For me, I don't think I'll be watching. Maybe I'll check it out on occasion but probably not. Viewers had paid specifically for Adam to get a massage. And a lot more. But for that as a side thing.

I watched Kresha, Megan and Joe Schmoe together on one. Found that far better quite honestly.

I will be watching Colby with Detective Ray H.

There is a lot of old stuff popping up which I've tried to stay away from for the most part as this case can just get too crazy but of course everyone is throwing it back up. I've seen it all back when but did go in for a rewatch on this one. If one can, it is often of benefit yrs later one knows more and then go back with what one knows but it's hard to do sometimes, especially in this convoluted mess of a number of cases and incidents.

For anyone interested:

Oh mannnn. It would be ideal if one could go back over everything. Pointing out JJ's drug addicted parents, Kay fighting her, has to mention Charles passing away, of course JJ is said to be with Mel G.

Again married to Charles a long time, raised five kids together uhm yah right. And going on about how he switched the life insurance policy here too.

It's too bad this jury couldn't see a TON of the stuff we all know.

complaining about kay getting a million dollars while they got nothing and she raised jj etc. oh mannn.

i mean i've seen all this stuff but it's been a long time. and you don't know the same things when you first see them as one does now and so on.

again ideally in every case we'd have time to go back and take another look with what we have learned after.

Worth a rewatch. OMG. I mean I saw this, but we didn't know sh*t about some stuff at this point. She is deflecting, taking over, now they just asked her as I do recall about who the other guy was with her brother. Chad. Just her brother's friend...

We've seen it but it has all gone on so long, it is really interesting to rewatch it knowing all we know as the years have went on. I don't even think we knew the kids were dead for sure at the point this came out if I recall.

OMG and then they ask if that's the Chad Daybell that lives down the road and didn't his wife pass away recently.... They knew stuff or were suspecting stuff by this time it would seem.... I wish I could go back and watch all but I can't. This one I did take a look at and wow seeing it again...

I certainly did not remember the "brother that was going to kill her showed up there".... OMG. Her hub I think she slipped there. So she has to hide, etc.

Oh she canceled the insurance policy, meaning hers I believe of the 2 million, so they have no MOTIVE to kill her she'd hope. WOW. I had forgotten a LOT of this. And it's different to watch it after we know all the stuff, that the kids were found dead and so much more. It is quite the ten minutes mostly all her talking, but it is obvious LE had some hints at this point, imo. Oh and her one brother is so protective....

Isn't this the one the cop said later that he could see a shadow upstairs moving or by the rail (meaning Alex) and didn't feel safe...?

This case really needs to be looked back on at a later time when it is finally done. Those writing books need to capture what people did not know when they first saw some of these things.
