A December 17 court order ruled that their father, Gary Daniel Townsend, was to give temporary custody of the children to their grandparents. When their grandmother arrived to pick them up from school three days later, the children were not there.

Two missing children have been returned to their Oklahoma grandparents after they were reportedly taken by their father, authorities reported.

Two missing children have been returned to their Oklahoma grandparents after they were reportedly taken by their father, authorities reported.

Jaxon Daniel Townsend, 8, and Josephine Joy Townsend, 7, were found in Daytona Beach, Florida, with their non-custodial father, their grandparents' attorney said.

U.S. Marshals arrested Gary Daniel Townsend on an outstanding Logan County warrant.

Joy and Dan Newton reunited with their grandchildren on Tuesday in Florida.

The Logan County sheriff confirmed the children were found and they are safe.
